I had all the same codes, but mine was bogging down. Figured I'd try to fix it myself since this part is only $14 on the Azon. And this fixed it immediately! Thank you so much!
Dude I should’ve watch your video just save me a lot of time I can’t believe a waste of the day yesterday not doing nothing thank you awesome video good explanation thank you once again you’re awesome man have a wonderful day👍🏽🙏🏽👍🏽🙏🏽👍🏽🙏🏽

Excellent explanation, saved me a ton of worry over the wife's money light! Now if I could clear the money light in her mind. Lol yeah right. Subscribed for future help!
When you over fill your gas tank it can spill over to the valve and cause it to go bad. Never top off the fuel tank, since it clicks off that’s all the fuel you need.
This is the year of encore I have. Fun SUVs to own. Sometimes sensors go bad. Mine was temperature sensors. I had to replace all of them. And one 0.2 sensor. There's a downstream 02 sensor as well. I only replaced the upper O2. And all Temp. sensors. Replacement of map sensor back of engine very top. And maf sensor. That's In the engine air cleaner. And replace the air engine air cleaner filter. Found vacuum leak by turbo. Where the engine air cleaner connects to the turbo. It's important to make sure the electrical connections are good to the thermostat housing. Cause inside that is a sensor too. Now the temp sensors. One in the radiator passenger side bottom. Another one to the top engine block driver's side. These have clips that hold them in so u will need a screwdriver. I wouldn't work on it 🔥 hot. And be quick so I don't loose to much antifreeze. That's another important thing this car takes a special anti freeze you cannot put just anything on it. Lastly I went for a zzp high performance coil pack and ordinary ac Delco spark plugs. The encore is running like a champ. Best to get aquainted with this car and learn to work on it yourself. It's cheaper and you know that the work is actually being done to it. Not someone putting a band aid on it and lie to you about working on it and charge you 650 dollars. It's easy to fix your self. But a huge learning curve to do so.
My money light just went on at 49,200 miles 2019 buick encore. (Just about a week away from my warranty expiration date). What can I do myself to find out what it really is without taking it to a mechanic who will most likely rip me off? Thanks!
The easiest and cheapest way is to remove both headlight assemblies and swap them left to right, plug them in and turn on headlights and see if it the problem stays w/ the DRL strip. Hopefully that helps.
Not brave enough try this myself but will definitely drill mechanic when I take it in to avoid being ripped. Your explanation sounds like exactly what is going on with my car. I do have an OBD II scanner and PO496 is the code I got. Is it a rip when mechanic charges a diagnostic fee then separate repair charge? Thanks!!! 🙂👍🏽
I replaced the purge valve, but my check engine light is still on. Drives fine, gas mileage went down a tiny bit. Not sure what the next step is. I did drive it about 80 miles since replacing it.
That’s the purge line from the purge solenoid to the fuel tank, the little tab piece is the locking clips that holds the purge line to the solenoid. Normally you can’t by that separate, it comes w/ the entire line. Sometimes you can find a universal clips that might work. Good luck.

What about 2021 encore gx where is purge valve located?
Thank you! It helped me.
Can you help me please. My left side DRL strip turns on then off but the right side stays on.

Have someone reset the code since fixed it
Auto zone will do it for free
same here, reset the code and still coming back over and over, any idea why?
Thank You!!!@@krogerlean
What’s the line with the tab piece called? Last time we had a mechanic break the tab and not replace it

What was the part he replaced?
Evap purge solenoid. Hope that helps
Is the solenoid and canister valve the same thing?
Very nice 👍🏽
