🔧 XR400 - Changing blinkers to LED and solving problems with relay and indicator lamp

- I changed my blinkers one year ago and noticed a problem ... they were not working :D
Easy way to fix it was putting away blinkers indicator lamp from the dashboard - but it was not safe (sometimes I was driving with blinkers on, because I forgot to turn it off).
Finally I decided to fix it using small LED indicator bulb ... but I bought it too small. Anyway at the end I was able to make it proper and fix it :D
Hope this video will help you. There are couple ways on solving this problem, because motorcycle wiring may be made in various ways. In future we will show how to fix in DR350, because there it looks different and this method from XR400 will not work.

Congratulations, very functional & much improved! Is there nothing you can't figure out!? The modifications to the LED indicator bulbs would have me scratching my head & ultimately scrapping the whole project, but your patience & understanding prevailed, good job!

Nice work I want install indicators on my xr400. Is the wiring of the back indicators already there? I only find one wire for the back/brake light.
Argh, bought the same flowing signal lights for my XRV750. Even after installing an LED relay only the first led bulb in the series blinks ever so slightly instead of the whole thing flowing. This problem led me to this video. I'll check if the dash bulbs can be replaced.

Hey mate, what did you use to mount the rear number plate and led indicators? Tail tidy?
It was already there, previous owned did it. It is just a pipe and bended flat bar, welded together.
Hi I got a Dr650 and I fell offroad and the rear right flicker was not working. I then bought 2 LED rear flickers and they are not working now, is it the internal wires inside that's not working or am i just being stupid. Please if you know whats wrong tell me.

I think LED blinkers at the rear and normal blinkers at the front may be a problem. Try to disconnect front blinkers (or just remove bulbs) and check it again. Also blinkers indicator lamp may be a problem and you can remove it from the dashboard for tests.

In my country its anout $1.5 only, thats called quite cheap😂
