I just noticed something during Hyper Burst, Zero did a rising slash without knocking back when being hit so either Hyper Burst or that rising slash gives something similar to super armor in this game?
That's part of the chips system. Different chips offer different "passive" and "active" abilities, one of which includes no hit stun during hyperburst.

While i appreciate the praise, i do love his work. Personally I think it falls under a different category, so I wouldn't consider it fair to compare them.
It's almost inhuman how well put together both the soundtrack and game are.
