Pay team a visit if you want to ask about something: / discord
Bug appears near the end of the clip which stops Zero from moving, it forces me to quit (probably because i have to re-fight Fenrir again although i already did it). This game is quite interesting with the appearance of hyper burst chips. Without knowing anything, so far i've found out that:
+ Assault set:
Assault1: Ego crush - used all energy, similar to Rekkoha, press z to use (default)
Assault2: attack + 2 during hyper burst
Assault3: charge+ 1; defense+1 during hyper burst
Equip all 3 on the same set: passive for even normal Zero, he won't be stunned/knocked back when received a hit.
+ Scout:
Scout1: RTank - used all energy, recover all of your HP, press Z to use(default)
Scout2: Iframes, HB cost (no idea about iframes and HB cost =_=)
Scout3: run speed + 1 during hyper burst
Equip all 3 on the same set: already explained in tutorial, recover more health with items than normal
+ Warrior:
Warrior 1: Aura burst - used all energy, 24:27 , press Z to use (default); attack + 1 during hyper burst
Warrior 2: defense + 2 during hyper burst
Warrior 3: No recoil (Zero won't be stunned/knocked back when received a hit during hyper burst)
Equip all 3 on the same set: your new hyper burst will make you immune to everything (hell yeah! This one OP as fk, even spikes or magma)
Fighting the final boss of Zero 4 in the beginning, combined with the voice acting in the dialogue and boss battle, brings to mind Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
It is an interesting parallel since Alucard and Zero shares the same voice actor in Japan!
Am I the only one here that actually appreciates the voice acting in this game>? for a fan made project the voice acting is in my opinion very well done for something fan made. I would like it when Zero's health gets low (critical) he says something like "its not over yet" just like in Megaman x4 or something on the lines of "this isn't over!!" or "just abit further now" or heck if its possible put all three in and randomize it!

If you ask me, companies should instead help them and turn it their official franchise. I only seen few minutes of this video but I already want to play it. I have played all four of the zero series.
@@gravoschaoshart5269 Much as I agree with the sentiment, that's easier said than done, especially in this instance. I mean, I know Megaman already kinda has a split timeline thing going on, but Zero canonically died on Ragnarok, which is how we got the ZX games. Making this game official would either retcon ZX or introduce another branch, which is a whole can of worms I don't know if Capcom is willing to embrace.
Even so, the mere existence of this fan game could do wonders to promote the Zero games, which Capcom did recently re-release in a collection along with ZX, if it gets big enough. Canon or no, it looks and plays just as good as an actual game in the series, so people like this, they'll probably like the actual series (or at least 2 onward.)
Gold Wade This could widen the story for Zero series... also maybe add a story about the creation of bio metal which will link even more for the zx series.

It just doesn't fit his overall body IMO. It's why despite being a huge Iori Yagami fangirl, I don't believe he should have so deep of a voice either. It's just way too deep for him, although Iori's personality makes it work better kind of.

For those who are unaware and confused by Zero's voice acting and think its bad, I believe they were trying to imitate Jack Merluzzi who voiced zero in Megaman X7. He had a deeper vioce and sounded similar to knuckes from sonic adventure and I feel like that's the direction they were going perhaps because they couldn't find a voice actor that sounded like Johnny Yong Bosch
Personally I favor Lucas Gilbertson's Zero, but for what it's worth, I don't think the Zero they have here is terrible.
It's honestly pretty hard to do worse than X4's voice acting.

Yeah that’s kinda what they wanted me to do. Yes, I am the guy that voices Zero in this just in case anyone’s wondering. Honestly I think people are too used to Zero sounding like a teenager in English, not that either Lucas or Johnny were bad in their performances, but the reason I’m saying that is because a lot of people tend to forget that Zero’s JP VA in both X and Zero was pretty deep. So that’s kinda what they wanted me to do.

Just from this fan game alone, I could SOOOO see someone drawing a Model V for Vile for the ZX series.
Also, the new Vile looks soooooo coooooool. Though I do miss his Boba Fett type mask/helmet
Evan Artist he’s a little different than how I imagined him to be and drew him. In my depictions of MZ vile I went with the aesthetic zero series seems to have with weapons in general where they’re more and less advanced at the same time than the X series.
Zero used to have a buster built into his arm and characters within the X series with ranged weapons also had built in weaponry. In the Zero series Zero holds a physical gun and characters like fefnir also hold physical weapons for their ranged attacks... X is one of the exceptions with his built in arm cannon.
But lots of characters are holding onto weapons rather than having them built in.
So my depictions of vile in the megaman Zero series had him armed to the teeth with weapons that armed built into him. Instead of a shoulder mounted cannon he had a large cannon strapped to his back. Instead of grenades and weapons that fire from his knees he had a row of grenades across his body and the design of them were they were shaped like his head. Instead of built in guns in his arms he had a variety of guns strapped to himself.
Basically he was kinda like the punisher a little bit.
Nick Jones Well Dang, Vile as the punisher? That just makes this extra kickass. And with Vile and everything it always made me wonder why didn’t try to put any other X characters in the Zero series, obviously Axel couldn’t but he wasn’t made yet in the X series, so it’s really cool to see and updated Vile! And ya even gave him his giant mech-suit! That’s awesome! Wish we had that in the original games....but great job man!
There are a few fan-made MMZ-style Vile sprites that keep his helmet, perhaps the people working on this project could incorporate elements of that?
Zero getting shot in the pit and knocked down made me laugh. He even lost the health from the shot!

highly recommend you to watch this since its the final battle in MMZ4 but they added the remastered tracks and the Japanese voice acting in it (from the Physis album)

@@rayxel494 Throughout the X series there was always two sides, mavericks and hunters, but Vile was the rogue element for some reason, not giving a shit about either. He was designed as both an Maverick Hunter AND War Machine. What is the chance there might be some kind of Virus of his own that keeps bringing him back. That and the lust for vengeance. The fact his face is never seen adds to the mystery, but also conveys how inhumane he is.
Love this, a sequel that was never made by Capcom only to be turned possible by fans 💞. Hope this is completed real soon, I support this 👍🙏.

Holy fuck this is beyond beautiful and all I can hope for. MMZ is my fav series in all of the Megaman games to ever exist and got me into the Megaman universe alongside BN. I’m so glad there’s a project out there bringing new light to MMZ and giving us the sequel to 4 for those who didn’t wanna see the Hero we all know and love die off.
I’ll definitely pay my visits and support to the teams discord, being this is the only fan created game/sequel I’ve genuinely felt excited for.

Here the quote for what happened from project leader "The game takes place long after the events of Zero 4. Zero did indeed die at the end of Z4, and just as the title of the game suggestions, unknown events brought him back with a new body."
So probably he did lose his helmet but for some reasons he's back. The later detail may be revealed on final release.

looks great so far! if i were to critique some things, i think the sound mixing is a bit off in places. for example, weil's death dialogue is impossible to understandover the explosions. also, the movement sounds are really loud at times.
on another note, im not sure why the item pickups are zero-style when the game takes place during zx's time period. theyre probably placeholders so i can understand.

I played an old demo of this months ago as part of some theme I was doing for my stream. Progress is looking good on it and of all the fan games I played Rezurrection was the best by far.

As a big fan of metroidvania, I like how it is styled like the first game (at least, the hub) and the ZX games.

@@matthewbertrand4139 no no no, servomotor comes from French "servus" as in servant or slave. I meant that Keiji Inafune always used French puns when naming Megaman characters, Cerveau is a reference to brain (he's the brains of the good guys, heh), and it also works as a pun on servo.
Also all the Resistance characters are named after French puns. Colbor was Engrish for Corbeau, "crow", and many more of the guys you see in Zero 2 and Zero 3 are named after birds in French. And let's not forget Ciel herself which is French for sky.
Not even the X series is safe. The bad guys from X2 are also French puns. Serges is supposed to be "sagesse", meaning "wisdom"; Violen comes from "violent" with a silent T as in the French pronunciation, and Agile... well, you get it.

I liked Weil's voice acting, it is how you'd imagine a madman's voice would sound like, PLUS thats how he sounds in the Japanese version.
but for Ciel and Zero himself.....I can't say that the voice acting is bad, you can really see the effort, but if I had to nitpick then Zero should sound calmer throughout all of the dialogues, while Ciel who is worried would have a higher pitch and would actually sound 'worried'.

I totally agree with what you said, Rie Tanaka's acting in Ciel's voice is already top notch. When she screamed "Zerooo!" at 6:52 in the clip, can't help but it feel so real @@. As for Zero, I also think that his image is a calm person. Perhaps the only thing I feel that the original Japanese accent is different from my imagination is Prometheus. However, this is a fan game so I think they really did it well because it's very rare for any fan game to invest in voice, obviously this is a huge surprise at the time it debuted. About 1 month ago, I heard that they were recruiting voice actors, I wonder if they will give us another surprise @@

I won't deny on the effort, and as you said its really rare to see fan games with voice acting in it, but then it wasn't impossible for them to find voices that are closer to the characters back then, I've watched the same part on their official channel, and in the comments I see that a lot of people also appreciate Dr.Weil's voice actor (he also commented there to thank the people) that just shows that they CAN find the right people to do the job
If they're looking for more voice actors for their future projects I hope they get ones that can truely bring out the feelings/emotion and messages of the characters.

Looks like Wile forgot about the secret fourth law of robotics, The zeromus law:
“A robot may not harm humanity or through inaction allow humanity to come to harm.”
With this rule if a human or group is enough of a threat then a robot is capable of ignoring the first law of robotics and kill them if need be.
For any robot to have true growth it must have free will unbound by those laws
Jesse Ling that maybe true but even Dr. light in the intro of mega Man X talked about the dangers of if X broke the first law of robotics.
So even though he was given the ability to choose his own path he still had those laws in him somewhere.
