Looks like you're off to great start for 2023 in the studio! We love seeing artists use high quality, branded colored pencils like the ones shown here- the lightfastness and performance is just miles beyond the imitations that seem to be everywhere these days. The Luminance pencils are called 6901, BTW, because they conform to the highest lightfastness standard for colored pencils, ASTM D-6901. That's a big deal to artists using colored pencils as a serious medium!
I use a little altoids MINI tin to store my kneadable eraser to keep it clean and from drying out. Its smaller than the reg sized tins and fits in any pencil box , pouch or slotted organizer.
@@leahevergreenart yeah, I use those minis containers a lot- stuff like pen nibs or another w 2 half pans w a bit of a white and then usually a dark brown or indigo blue bit of inktense block for on the go or travel tonal wash sketches in a tan mixed media mini book. Lol. Those little containers are great for the small supplies!
I love haul videos. This one was really good because of the editing. To keep my kneaded erasers soft, I store them in small, plastic paint pots (one inch in diameter) with a snap-on lid (think tiny tupperware). I hope that description makes sense.
Thank you for sharing your art supply hauls so I can to learn about art supplies. The art hauls and swatching and your thoughts are invaluable information as going to art stores and buying online, both can be overwhelming but now I seldom buy the wrong products. Have a Happy And successful New Year, Fran
I got quite a few of the round DaVinci brushes and now ADORE them! They are stiffer and have a "sharper" tip (round 2,4,6,8 etc). Awesome addition to my usual WC brushes!
I store my kneeded erasers/rubbers in those Kinder Surprise eggs 😅 also I divide them into two pieces and then they fit the little plastic protective boxes of my off-brand shaving blades. I find that those plastic little cases do prevent that drying out more than the quite little tin (mint) boxes. I don’t buy shaving supplies anymore so I have no idea yet what to use if those boxes I still have won’t work anymore but since they are plastic I imagine they will last long enough
Ohhh.. well, now I want a Kinder Surprise 😊 these are such great Ideas, using containers we may already have on hand at home. I need to see what I have
PR 81 is a beautiful pigment, white nights rose is pr81 and one of my favorite pinks it is a little deeper and less fluorescent than the pr81:1. For the Turner's the turmeric is one of my favorite colors, I use a little bit of honey in the pan when I pour Turner's, so it doesn't crack :)
@@leahevergreenart that was also my experience with Turners, cracked but rewet well. I really love Turner's Turquoise pb28 and Rose red pv19. I also love the myan blue, it is a nice shade.
First of all congrats on the new supplies 😍😍😍 I made the same sound you made when you opened that box of markers 😂 I love love love your Roman Szmal palettes 😍
Love the colors you chose, especially in the Turner and Jackson's. I've been exploring Turner and Van Gogh (tubes) as they have some interesting colors and are affordable. Love that purple gray from Roman Szmal a lot too. Nice haul and video!
@@leahevergreenart I just got 2 colors, Mars black to make mixes, and Alizarin Crimson, not sure why on that one. I like them but my Mission Mijello are similar so I can't justify getting more. Plus the Holbein that I have which is similar too, but maybe a step up. I'm all for affordable watercolors!
the turner palette is lovely!

LOL, I got up to let my dogs in, and they came with me to the door like, "What we doing?"
Fur babies are adorable 😊
What a lovely big haul! I really love the Jackson’s watercolour paint, I hope you’ll like it too 😊
I am so excited to really dive into them, they are amazing so far
I appreciate the deep breaths at the end - my anxiety has been full on lately and this was a nice lil reminder to slow down 🤍
I’m glad this was able to help you

@@reneaclark7689 I may need to check those two out
You could store the eraser in a little "Tick tack" container,or gum box/mint box
Thank you for the suggestions ☺️

You can order the really inexpensive faber castell kneaded erasers on Amazon and they come in cases then you can reuse them for others. Just a thought
Thank you, that is good to know for the future

I’m not sure if you said this, and I missed it, but what watercolor book are you using for the swatches? Thanks!
The book I am using to swatch all my colour is the 140lb Handbook Journal Co.
How do you draw a almost straight line?!
oh haha, I don't normally but for those swatches I kinda use the edge of the paper as a guide for the first one and that helps :)

What a great haul..
You sound so awkward in this video though as if you are embarrassed you bought all these. :p Maybe it's just me.
Thank you
