Love the gouache palette! Very inspiring video thank you Pauline!
@@oaklingsluciapara Thanks for watching Lucia 🥰
This is a great travel kit Pauline 😍 regarding white pencils my absolute favorite is the soft white from Holbein, have you tried it?
@@oficinacaracolinho Yes, it’s a very good pencil! I’m a bit apprehensive with that one because it has titanium dioxide in it, and although that’s mostly a problem when it’s airborne, I share my space with my 6 year old so I tyr to keep it as safe as possible. It never is of course, but I try to:)
@@LaScarlatte of course, I can understand that 🤍
Holbein soft white is my favorite too. I also like Derwent drawing pencil in Chinese White and the Prismacolor in White.
I like the Derwent Chinese White too, it's a bit more muted but lovely!
Thank you for this wonderful video. I really appreciate the care and details that you share.
I wonder if both gouache palettes are needed? The big one seems like maybe it’s not as useful? Yet I imagine there is something that I’m missing too.
Are the Neocolor’s closer to watercolor than gouache in terms of opacity/transparency?
Happy to have found your channel.
If you're going on a trip, I think one palette is enough. I took 2 because I wanted to test the bigger one. The bigger one keeps the paints moist, which is a plus if that's what you like. For me, I like to add water to my gouache so it's not absolutely neccessary. I'd prefer the smaller one.
And I'd say the Neocolors are closer to gouache, because their pigment is pretty vibrant and they don't granulate like watercolours do. But it all depends on how much water you add, if you use the Neocolors thickly and add little water they're like gouache, if yu use them sparingly and add a lot of water they can also act as watercolours. They're really versatile.
@@LaScarlatte Very helpful! Thank you for these details.
