Most helpful video we could find on Christmas morning to put bindings on sons snowboard. Thanks for making a great and helpful video!
Awesome, things a little different sense I rode last years and years ago. Appreciate the vid.
Does any one else relize he is standing on the wall
He’s using a green screen
This was the most helpful video! So easy to follow along, got my board all set up thanks to you!
Glad it helped!
This is the most helpful binding set up video I have found so far. It has up-close photos + overhead view of what is actually going on. I just picked up snowboarding in Feb of last year, and this video helped me correct my setup, ensure consistency, and give me confidence to make adjustments when things just don't feel right. Also, thanks for explaining why some adjustments may be helpful (high back, for example). Thanks for making this video!
@Adam Wynn we are glad we help you out! Have a great time out there riding!

Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for the video. Been snowboarding 15+ years and never rotated high back to be parallel w the board. Gonna try it out.
Glad we could help! Let us know how it goes!
Great work, thank you so much

@Sara Kandil, glad we could help you get it done! Have fun on the slopes!
very detailed and good intruction!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video!
You're welcome!
I just got this exact setup! 3d fish and cartel X. I notice there is some kind of thread sealant on the channel screws, does this need to be reapplied when switching bindings from board to board?
What about the back-foot strap adjustment in the back hole position. When to do it and what’s the effect?
Thanks man, this helped me a lot with my new bindings that I've brought on a trip while not bringen the manual 🤦🏻
@Ramon van der Roest, Glad we could help you out! Have fun out there on the slopes!
Great explanation , thanks a lot!
But I have one remark here, why install re-flex on EST channel board? I think most of the people will get re-flex to install on boards with 2:4
Good question. Some people prefer RE:FLEX for the versatility with non-channel boards, feel, or already had them before getting a channel board so we wanted to show people how to set up whatever they have!
Great material!
Just bought a brand New parir Of Burton Cartel X and I’m trying to adjust them.
I have 2 questions.
1.
- highback adjustment. On the film You did it only with front binding , but normalny both highback should be paralel to the edge Of the board right?
2.
Upper strap - one the movie and in my Bindings I can see that it is in „lower position” (those two holes on the Side Of the binding).
I difinitely be using them For shreding, riding on slope, grooming and hope to do some carve maybe finally. So from I know the upper strap should be located on the upper hole right ? To „lock down” the shoe more than on the lower hole.
Great questions!
1. Yes, you would want to adjust both, we just showed one for time!
2. The upper strap is for fit placement, the two holes are there to be able to fit a wide range of boots.
Hope this helps!
@@EriksBikeandBoardShop done. Now 4 mths Of waiting For the Winter :)
So im not understanding what is happening, the binding are just free to move in the channel locks? Or Im obviously doing something wrong
It’s hard to find such quality videos. Please post a video where you show how to mount these bindings to 4 hole board
Great recommendation!
Hi, can you make a video to fit the reflex bindings on a 3d hole pattern because I don't manage to fit it on my custom board. Thanks
A little late but you have to buy a 3d hole disc. I have a pair for sale if you need it. I transferred my Malavitas from my old board to a new one and no longer need them.
@@miken4552 thanks. Got 1.
My screws won’t reach long enough into the board?
Burton's DialFLAD, isn't it just bending the bottom of the high back? since there is nothing moving to prop the angle... why is that a good thing.
Hi! There's plastic in the bolt, should i move that away, cause, I couldn't screw the bolt in 😅.
plastic aside the bolts 😂
@Binglin Deng, reach out to an ERIK'S expert at 877-885-2453 or use the chat feature on shopERIKS.com to get help with this specific issue!
What binding angles should i set? I am a newbie
We usually recommend somewhere between 9 and 12 degrees on both feet for beginners. There is a lot of personal preference though so feel free to try out different angles that work for you!
What is the main difference between reflex and est bindings?
EST bindings are only compatible with Burton boards due to the channel system.
EST bindings are designed to only fit snowboards that use the “Channel” system, they can’t be mounted on snowboards that don’t use the channel system.
Re:Flex bindings can mount on virtually any snowboard out there, including Burton boards with the channel system.
Isn't this the EST?
EST refers to Burton's bindings that only require two bolts that attach to the outsides of the bindings. This video features Burton Re:Flex bindings that utilize a more traditional disc.
What if i threw away the little box on the side of the board? :/
Sorry to hear that. Burton sells replacement channel inserts on their website, here: www.burton.com/us/en/p/burton-m6-channel-inserts-4-pack/W24-124511.html
I hate iloc!
