    This is the most helpful binding set up video I have found so far. It has up-close photos + overhead view of what is actually going on. I just picked up snowboarding in Feb of last year, and this video helped me correct my setup, ensure consistency, and give me confidence to make adjustments when things just don't feel right. Also, thanks for explaining why some adjustments may be helpful (high back, for example). Thanks for making this video!

    I just got this exact setup! 3d fish and cartel X. I notice there is some kind of thread sealant on the channel screws, does this need to be reapplied when switching bindings from board to board?

    Great explanation , thanks a lot!
    But I have one remark here, why install re-flex on EST channel board? I think most of the people will get re-flex to install on boards with 2:4

    • @EriksBikeandBoardShop
      @EriksBikeandBoardShop  2 місяці тому

      Good question. Some people prefer RE:FLEX for the versatility with non-channel boards, feel, or already had them before getting a channel board so we wanted to show people how to set up whatever they have!

    Great material!
    Just bought a brand New parir Of Burton Cartel X and I’m trying to adjust them.
    I have 2 questions.
    1.
    - highback adjustment. On the film You did it only with front binding , but normalny both highback should be paralel to the edge Of the board right?
    2.
    Upper strap - one the movie and in my Bindings I can see that it is in „lower position” (those two holes on the Side Of the binding).
    I difinitely be using them For shreding, riding on slope, grooming and hope to do some carve maybe finally. So from I know the upper strap should be located on the upper hole right ? To „lock down” the shoe more than on the lower hole.

    • @EriksBikeandBoardShop
      @EriksBikeandBoardShop  2 роки тому

      Great questions!
      1. Yes, you would want to adjust both, we just showed one for time!
      2. The upper strap is for fit placement, the two holes are there to be able to fit a wide range of boots.
      Hope this helps!

    Hi, can you make a video to fit the reflex bindings on a 3d hole pattern because I don't manage to fit it on my custom board. Thanks

    • @miken4552
      @miken4552 2 роки тому

      A little late but you have to buy a 3d hole disc. I have a pair for sale if you need it. I transferred my Malavitas from my old board to a new one and no longer need them.

    Burton's DialFLAD, isn't it just bending the bottom of the high back? since there is nothing moving to prop the angle... why is that a good thing.

    • @EriksBikeandBoardShop

      We usually recommend somewhere between 9 and 12 degrees on both feet for beginners. There is a lot of personal preference though so feel free to try out different angles that work for you!

    What is the main difference between reflex and est bindings?

    • @peterenis8447
      @peterenis8447 Рік тому

      EST bindings are only compatible with Burton boards due to the channel system.

    • @EriksBikeandBoardShop
      @EriksBikeandBoardShop  Рік тому

      EST bindings are designed to only fit snowboards that use the “Channel” system, they can’t be mounted on snowboards that don’t use the channel system.
      Re:Flex bindings can mount on virtually any snowboard out there, including Burton boards with the channel system.

  • @HHplayground
    @HHplayground 6 місяців тому

    Isn't this the EST?

    • @EriksBikeandBoardShop
      @EriksBikeandBoardShop  6 місяців тому

      EST refers to Burton's bindings that only require two bolts that attach to the outsides of the bindings. This video features Burton Re:Flex bindings that utilize a more traditional disc.
