That's maybe one of our favourite comments! 😀 We probably haven't thought about that number so much but when you put it like that -that's a lot of people! Thanks again for watching! Sean and Emily
I’m in the very early stages of planning a ride up through Sweden and Norway to Nordkapp, and back via Finland, the Baltics, Poland and Germany. Very happy to find your channel!
Hi, sounds like you will be doing the exact route we took - you won't regret it as it's fantastic!! The nature and remoteness contrasted by the history and culture of the Baltic states. You may have noticed already but in the description of each episode is a link to the route of each day and GPS coordinates of any specific places. Here's the full playlist and we hope you enjoy watching and find it useful for planning your trip. ua-cam.com/play/PLl_mRzVHVQ0wBDli8y7IjlY2Q4MBPnA0u.html&si=22awlJ2jhrehIb4S
Wow! What a coincidence, a beautiful area to grow up in. We have had a few people recognise the places we went through and even one person spotted themselves in the video 🙂 We really enjoyed are time here and would love to come back and have a bit longer to explore. Thanks for watching
Hi Jonas, thanks for commenting. Although only brief we have really enjoyed visiting Sweden -it is a beautiful country! The waterfall in the previous episode was spectacular! Plenty of lakes to choose form but we were really happy with this spot! Thanks for your comment and nice to hear from a local. Sean and Emily
Thanks for subscribing and welcome to our channel! We hope you enjoy the rest of this playlist as much as we did riding it. Looking forwards to hearing more tips, useful information and feedback from you. Kind regards Sean and Emily
It sure does! No wasting time trying to get everything to fit each time -also stops us forgetting things. This camping spot was perfect and plenty of firewood too =)
We watched the wild camping vid last night and enjoyed that. We were both wondering how the night had been and how your kit faired so this was great to watch, thanks. We’ll be off camping on our bike next year, we’re learning lots watching you two. Keep them coming 👍🏼
Hi Jim, thanks for your comment and we are so glad you enjoyed it! If you need a list of our equipment it can be found on our website. Also we use the tent a couple of times on the Heading south Tour in the Playlists (where the temperature dropped to minus numbers lol) New episodes every Wed, Sat and Sun. Thanks again Sean and Emily
Hi Darren, yeah the coffee setup was a huge success 😂 it tasted really good! (thank goodness after all that grinding). Thanks for saying so, it was a relaxing trip and nothing really went wrong. Yeah there were some big days and it did get tiring at times but on the whole it went really well. We don't like creating drama for the sake of 'click bait' titles and hope to show how achievable touring like this can be. Sean and Emily
I once, and only once, packed my tent away just like you have, that night I was greeted to a soaking sleeping bag. The tent was wet, and seeped through. 😂
Haha there's nothing worse that waking up to a wet tent and sleeping bag! -unless it's in the early hours of the morning lol We sometimes just put the outer layer in a waterproof bag and deal with it later -otherwise it's midday before its dry. We kept the side vents fully open this time and it really helps keep the tent dry (keeps the inside temperature similar to the outside and reduces condensation) Thanks for your comment. Sean and Emily
68% of Sweden is forested 😅And 85% if the population lives in the bottom third of the country. Which is also the part of Sweden with most infrastructure, cities and such. North, most "big" cities lies along the eastern coast. Loving your Sweden trip ❤🤙
Hi, wow that's a lot of trees! -must be why the air is so fresh 😊. Thanks for the information, hopefully we will be able to visit more of Sweden next year. We are really glad you are enjoying the videos and thanks for your comment. Sean and Emily
You have a great little camping in Brekkvasselv (Norway) just by the river Namsen if you go from Stekenjokk down to Rörvik and further down to the E6. You will hit it on the right on E6 about 2-300 meters south as you come down. Lovley road down from Steinfjellet to E6.
You do pick some gorgeous places to stop, wonderful. Emily's ability to find places whilst being a pillion never ceases to amaze me. Guy's, (speaking of kit) I must ask, you both never seem to wear a neck tube or balaclava, doesn't your neck(s) ever get cold/wet ?
Hi David, thanks -this spot was perfect and everything we wanted (credit to Emily for finding this one). Yeah it's such a big help to have Emily navigating from the pillion seat -saves a lot of time and stress =) We do have neck tubes (Merino Buffs) with us -in fact Emily has hers on most of the time and i only tend to wear them when it gets cold (in think the windscreen shelters me well. Also our waterproofs have a decent collar -but yeah will be wearing them all the time as the weather gets colder =) Thanks for your comment =) Sean and Emily
Just a good job you’ve brought Em along Sean or you might have had a load of stuff that didn’t go in the panniers , just a little disappointing you two didn’t go for an early morning dip , impressed with the Coffee grinder and machine , Stay safe , Graham L😂
Hi Graham, haha for sure! Its like a game of Tetris =) A morning dip was considered however the body was not willing haha -i think in the summer time it would have been nice. Yeah we are really happy with the Coffee grinder -it's a real treat to have super fresh coffee in the morning and turns the morning ritual into an experience in itself =) Thanks again and catch you again soon =) Sean and Emily
Hi Ake! Oh the peace and quiet was magnificent -such a nice place to pitch the tent for the night. Yeah tonight's episode is Swedish Lapland! Did you see the previous episode of the waterfall? =) ua-cam.com/video/o1e-9p6HQTc/v-deo.htmlsi=IKhzvyWIB9bNzyUB
Maybe I missed it in your videos but what are your thoughts on all the red houses with white windows? Most people I've met from another country find them charming and unique😂
I always love your videos, but with these in particular, I'm really wondering about when you were there - is it somewhat close to now, so vaguely October? Or is there a larger delay and this was during summer and you just don't have a lot of luck with the weather?
Hi, thanks for your comment and positive feedback! Yeah we are some weeks behind on the trip (takes a lot of time to make an episode so impossible to make on the road without doubling our time) this trip was in September so late in the year - not many camper vans on the road but yeah the weather is always a risk when traveling to Norway- the weather stays good from here on. Thanks again Sean and Emily
Enjoying watching your series , I've just purchased a hoody from your site , I have a question , what do you do for toilet and washing facilities when wild camping ?
Hi John, thanks for your positive feed back -we are really glad you are enjoying it. Thanks for purchasing a hoodie! -we really like them and the quality is great. Well we tend to arrive late and leave early when wild camping so that hasn't been an issue lol however..........we do have a trowel with us (see our website for equipment list, will leave a link at the bottom). For showering -as we aren't camping overnight a quick freshen up with the Sea to Summit 'Wilderness Wipes' are ideal -plus they are biodegradable so can also be buried if not burnt. Pots and pans get rinsed as bet as possible and then cleaned at the next hotel (they live in a sealed dry bag until cleaned again) All the best Sean and Emily seanandemilytravels.com/equipment
Thanks it explains a lot of how to wild camp , Norway is such a great country to motorcycle in and we've always found the people so helpful and friendly.
@@johnchalker2915 you’re welcome, yeah totally agree it’s perfect to motorcycle tour in Norway -such a relaxed and enjoyable experience and the people are super friendly. 😎👍🏻
Hi there, can you please tell me the brand of coffee grinder you are using. Sometimes I find it difficult to buy ground coffee and a grinder that small would be awesome for me.
Hi, Yeah we had the same problem plus nothing beats freshly ground coffee. This was actually a gift you not sure where one can buy these, the brand however is 'Weis' -it's either German or Austrian. Here's the amazon link although it's not available. www.amazon.co.uk/Weis-Coffee-Grinder-Compact-Stainless/dp/B01MYH8Y9F Hope that helps Sean and Emily seanandemilytravels.com/equipment
