Thanks for posting. Just picked one up and while I have a properly rated shallow plastic UL mount up there, they just placed it on the ceiling and not IN the ceiling. So I wanted to see how that housing went to the mounting bracket and I can see I'd just have a nice gap if I don't fix the original cheap job someone did.
Excellent instructions. I've hung 4 ceiling fans previously in my house and my daughters house. This will be #5 in my sons house. I've always had to use suppied weights to balance the blades. I haven't seen any mention of this?
Thanks for watching. Most of these fans do not include balancing kits because they are not needed. The blades are weight matched at the factory, and in most cases the fans install wobble free. If for some reason you need a balancing kit, you can order one by calling customer service.
For my house wires, I have a ground, white, black, and red. The wall switches independently operated my old fan and lights. Can I maintain that by connecting my house red with the fan blue wires?
Yes, the fan has separate wires for fan speed power (black) and blue (light power). If the red wire is a switch wire, you can connect the fan's blue wire to the red wire to enable you to turn the light on/off using the switch. Please note that the light pull chain must be set to on (1 pull) before using the switch.

What if my house doesn't have a ground wire? Can I ground to the bracket?
The ground wire is not absolutely necessary.
We trying to installed ours but it doesn’t turn and on the switch are we missing something?
if you're using a switch, the fan's pull chains have to be set to high speed and light set to on using the pull chains prior to using the switch.
