Having an issue with my xumo pioneer tvs remote, changed the batteries last night and that allowed me to turn on the TV, but also the tv isn't turning off after 5 hours like it's supposed to. The remote has a green light but isn't controlling the tv at all today
Have not yet found a way. I researched it yesterday and the most I was able to find was I believe the remote is model R34010 made by Universal electronics. I tried a bunch of different key combinations, but none of them seem to allow me to enter in the code for my TV (assuming it works like any other remote where there’s a bunch of preset codes for each brand of TV).
If the light at the top of the remote is still red and the batteries have been changed and all the resetting has been completed is that a remote issue?
Yeah that’s sounds like it’s signal is not reaching the Xumo box, possibly the remote is not paired, or defective remote, at that point (in my opinion).
If you have not tried yet, try line-of-sight with the remote facing the Xumo box and nothing in between obstructing it. Xumo box will try to receive Bluetooth first but the red light may be saying no Bluetooth connectivity. In that state, it *should* switch to infrared mode (IR) which transmits remote commands via light (IR) rather than radio (Bluetooth). At least with that test, you could see if perhaps the remote still functions but just not over Bluetooth.
I’m having an issue. I lost my remote so I got a new one with Xfinity. This remote is connected but XUMO is stuck on the settings screen. I can hear a TV show playing in the background but it won’t move pass the settings screen.
@carlitawashington Not sure what will get it out of the stuck mode. I would try unplugging the Xumo box itself for 10 seconds then plugging it back in, if you haven't already tried that.
Does power on turn the tv on or off? I am guessing that if volume up/down and power on/off on the tv don’t work, maybe try re-pairing the Xumo remote to your TV
You are correct about the battery showing in top corner when they are running low! thanks for these videos!
Thank you!! And Thank you for confirming that!
thank it worked

Side note I did try going through the steps in the video, the remote responded as you said it would, but still not controlling the tv
Nothing was working. Then for whatever reason I removed the batteries and reinserted them and what do you know, BAM! 💥 😅 Thank you 😊
Is there a way to pair the xumo TV remote to my TV without a xumo box
