great quality footage, looks better than some concert videos I've seen from 2003
Brian Drescher Film is the best.
Brian Drescher they’re not live here, that’s the album track playing. Probably had to mime for the film production.
It was recorded on high-definition 35mm film which was expensive but it is as good as anything you'll see today with vibrant colour and the way it was filmed is a lost art sadly !.
Looks more like 16mm
It would do this is 35mm movie footage, expensive and far superior to video tape, at least equal to modern 4k possibly 6k quality wise.
Made for projecting on a 20 foot screen whilst maintaining high levels of detail
Any footage with Brian Jones is good to see.
You are drawn to Brian if you are a hetrosexual male, prefer The Stones during this period
@@richardthompson2892 indeed
I sadly missed the chance to see the Rolling Stones before they were famous. I was 15 and my sister was 18. She had been following them for some time on the local scene around Guildford and Richmond, and invited me go with her to see them. It was to be my first outing on the "scene" so I had to be dressed fashionably. I had a collarless shirt in RAF blue and blue jeans which were both fashionable at the time. Then I looked at my feet and the only shoes I had were my school Oxfords!! Of course I couldn't be seen on the "scene" dressed like that, so I never went and I never got to see the Stones! Would have been brilliant and something to tell my grandchildren about!
But there you go. Life is full of missed chances!
Oh my god your last statement was brilliant!
My mother had the chance to see them in 1968 and she got sick w/ the flu and choose not to go. 😲😨☹😢😭😤😠😡 SMH. If I were her I would have gone anyways. I just would of doctored myself up w/ some meds. So what if I had got some people sick. I would of went and enjoyed myself and had the time of my life.
And your grandkids wouldn't really get it.
@@TS-qq7vr- No, his grand kids might have had a chance to see them play.
No one would even have noticed your shoes!
I grew up in Richmond {family still live there} but was too young to see them. Jagger has a house there, with that superb view..Amazing that they are still going strong {Jones apart} .
I always have big respect and admiration for Brian, he was a true original musician. The sixties are my favorite period of the Stones.
yeh , but his drug addiction perpetuated his unreliability & paranoia .

R.I.P Charlie ✝️🤍
We were stationed in Germany in the mid '60s, and I used to listen to "Sunday Night at the Cavern" on Radio Luxembourg every Sunday night. At that time the Rolling Stones were more popular than the Beatles in Europe.

Notice that he was Keith RICHARD back then...
In 1963, their band manager, Andrew Loog Oldham, dropped the s from Richards's surname, believing that "Keith Richard", in his words, "looked more pop" During the late 1970s, Richards re-established the s in his surname

The Big Band !!! and still rockin' !!!!
lol two of them only
They lipsynced that performance (that was a standard thing for the news services) for this promo film. The actual performance that night had 50 policeman in front of the stage keeping girls from charging in. While standing behind one of the policeman, Mick was grabbed by the legs by one girl and pulled into the pit in front of the stage and landed flat on his back. Mick quickly got back up on the stage, while the girl yelled out "I touched him!" Yes, it was that manic! (This was from Bill Wyman's book "Stone Alone."
Brian's jumper, I want one like it so badly!
Brian, Keith and Mick are 3 of my male style icons
The Rolling Stones members:
Mick Jagger
Brian Jones
Keith Richards
Charlie Watts
Bill Wyman
this is the best video i have ever seen.
The first song is called "Around and Around".
superb stuff, timeless, and a true joy to behold for us all. Just behind The Beatles then and everyone always will be. But great find truly is and so clear in both picture and sound
Yes asaloutley but by the late 60s the roling stones surpass the Beatles as the greatest band ,especially with mick Taylor stones were awesome in concert ,stones raw blues rock ,and mick stage present were amazing in concert.
@@josehborba3004 cannot agree yes love the stones but the beatles untouchable even after 50 years gone that says it all xx
@@josehborba3004 You obviously didn't live those days. No group or person have ever surpassed The Beatles, and probably no one will.
Dubbed on not live concert footage. Either that or Ian Stewart was behind the curtains playing piano. I saw then in Edinburgh on that tour. "Saw them" was right. Couldn't hear a thing for girls screaming. Peter and Gordon, Millie, Dave Berry and Freddie and the Dreamers and others were on the bill. There was an argument who was to be top of the bill. Stones or Freddy? Freddy and the Dreamers won! The Beatles were on the following month. I was offered free tickets by a girl that worked at the cinema. Crazy but true I turned them down. I was a Stones fan!

this explains why Brian Jones had eight children with different girlfriends
Has he really eight ? Or are they just ''pretenders''....
Oakleaf700 how come you wrote pretenders like that? Are you insinuating they’re not pretending, is it to do with a stones song?
@@Azoria4 Like ''pretenders to the Throne''.....eg, fakes, like that 'Anastasia' woman who pretended to be a Romanov but wasn't.
Some kids definitely are Jones's but probably a lot of 'wannabes' as happened with the Beatles.

Anna Wohlin, Linda Lawrence, Suki Poiter, Anita Pallenberg
They could have swapped Keith Richards and George Harrison from Beatles and nobody would have noticed it.

That screaming. Jeez.
Wow, great footage. A few observations :- 1) What a corny set up. Hitch-hikers? 2) How young the audience was - mostly early teens 3) Jagger's moves are so mannered 4) Of all the Stones Keith Richards' appearance has changed the most 5) How sad Brian Jones had such a short life.
