Before even I could play it, now with all the new rules and stuff, I say no thank you. I recently re watched 5D's and now started Dual Monsters... The difference is too big. Like in first episode when Yugi fights Kaiba they just basicly summon monsters, almost no magic cards or trap cards. And i could learn that, but now its special summon this, special of my monster that, counter your spell with my spell bla bla bla. Too much stuff to remember

@An Anime Geek gx is good although its corny as hell but it really takes off in season 3 with the Yubel arc which I feel is kinda unique in its writing and very emotional (until the last episode where they kinda mess everything up but thats besides the point)

@An Anime Geek Why skip GX? It hardly changed anything about the game and it gave fusions some well deserved spotlight unlike the original Duel Monsters anime.
I've seen this box a couple times before and haven't given it much thought, but now seeing an unboxing and everything that's inside of it that are a bunch of rare and ultra-rare cards I really want to get this box set now and regret not doing so in the past.
Although I really think I'm getting this box will be worth it I do agree that 30 bucks is a little pricey, and should be 15 to 20 at most.

I’m almost 29 years old, I play Yugioh Duel Links, still have Yugioh: World Wide Edition for GBA and miss playing the card game. I had all my cards stolen at one point and gave up collecting the cards. But man I can still smell these brand new cards from this video lol! I love Yugioh man.

Monarchs, yet weak, don't use extra decks, some of them destroy extra decks. They also rarely use pendulums, yet they don't really do good unless you use the old monarchs. Which I heard are fucking unfair and most aren't banned, making them more suggested over the newer monarchs.

some people just spend like 2 minaute doing things oh my god. i can't just read details of a card it goes and onther card is on the field and that card is in his graveyard and suddenly he draws a card that let him speical summon a card from his deck that will banish a card in his graveyard....etc and then BOOM 6 monsters with one of them having 6000 attack
i mean i use shiranui and sometimes i take 2 minutes playing a turn(even if it's because of my dumb ass thinking) but you can understand all the effects just by playing maximally a single match against it
that's my opinion of course and also yeah i know not all of them are like this and their are counters to it.
xyz is the reason i stopped pls make them go away and i come back

i think the price is okay...starter decks are usually 10 bucks and you get 3 new cards along with 4 new tokens and handful of ultra rares and the long awaited Arkana Dark Magician....i really hope they make a kaiba and joey one like this

Holy crap! That's one legendary deck! If I have Yugi's legendary card deck, I can just play with it. But if I want to go into the Yu-Gi-Oh duel monsters tournaments if covid-19 is over, I have to follow all the rules and have the heart of the cards guide me.

Wow, so many of these were expensive foil cards from the booster packs when I used to play back in the day. That mirror force from Metal Raiders used to be like 40-50 dollars on it's own.
YuGiOh must have a crappy collector's market if they jizz out shinies like this now, and $30 for all that is seen as expensive.
+Borealis V I agree. Years ago when i played those cards were hella expensive and rare to get. Is there some kind of number that says they are not from the first generation cards? Swords, mirror force, and exodia holographic where the best cards to have. Now it seems anyone can just get these cards
+Borealis V Mirror Force became more easily available in the OCG fairly early on, it was only a "chase card" in the TCG. They actually made it common with the belated release of Structure Deck Marik, and by that point it was about time they did.
Older prints of many of these cards are still very valuable and worth a lot to collectors.
+Borealis V You know something is wrong when Dark Magician Girl, a card that started out as a secret rare and had a ridiculous price tag going for it (45 dollars average) when it first came out, gets reprinted into a freaking COMMON. Would it be too much to give her the Ultra Rare treatment?
The collector's market is pretty mediocre, but there are some that will pay quite a bit to get a card that just can't be acquired anymore. It all comes down to supply and demand.
I want to pick this up but $30 just seems to damn high for it, :(

I am a Yu-Gi-Oh fanatic and I love collecting these cards. I do have mostly the originals, but some of the series two and on are pretty cool too. You can't duel the new series with the old cards though due to the fact of the more OP effects
