Omg thank you so much for this. Every other lesson is like 45 minutes long and they take foreverrrrr to show the chords. This was so simple and perfect! Appreciate it.
John Hall... liked him too... I think he did the guitar solo on Jackson Browne's Here come those tears again.... I have about 4 Orleans and John Hall songs on my playlist including this one Love Takes Time, Power, Fresh Wind... probably a few more too... great job
Jackson Browne's Here Come Those Tears Again - "John Hall of Orleans plays the guitar solo, although the arrangement is dominated by Billy Payne's piano and Mike Utley's organ, as well as Bonnie Raitt and Rosemary Butler's harmonizing backup vocals. Tim Powers from Waltham, Mass. and a voice talent for WBCN Boston just happened to be in the studio when the song was recorded and was asked to play drums when the studio drummer never appeared for the session. Producer Jon Landau is credited in the album credits with "random notes.""
Sounds wonderful I was hoping you’d show the chords in a chart form because it’s hard to see where your fingers are located. Can you show the chords as a chart? thank you
I can't see what he's doing either. The first part is easy enough but he lost me at the "A and C# to the B and D over the G bass". I can understand tabs that's about it.
@@theadorablesofia Use your ear bro. With the technology of today it should be easy. One of the first ones I learned ( by ear) in the 70's..... We did not have it like y'all do today. I'm assuming you are young..... I'm 64....
Last evening I could not comment directly to you. IT is letting me this early morning. Great, great job my brother from another mother. Always good to see you. I am gonna recheck an make sure I have gt you subbed. I never get alerts from your channel. One day I will watch all your vids. I take care of my 86 yrs old mom whos got several health issues. God willing she will be with us another year at the least. So very busy last 2 years. What do you think about our great country today bro? Never in a million did I ever think that I would see what I'm seeing. I'm almost ashamed to fly ole Glory anymore. Hey!! Try the outro in two note Harmony, both descending guitar parts It's cool. Back then I had a rough time getting the notes up to speed. Don't know if I can still even do it but you have made want to get the ole guitar out and see😊... Well God bless you and yours an please be careful out there. I wouldn't want for another music man to leave us early......💙🔥✌️👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋 PS Love that Epiphone... Your's sincerely,, Jeff.
Great lesson, you've heard that before Dave, but ditto here. I'd only add that Orleans struck me as an interesting band because in their few big hits or tunes that charted high nationally, they seemed to meld great vocals and very clean, sharp guitar work. Their arrangements featured dual guitars often harmonizing or playing octave guitar parts, beautiful singing, and great song hooks/melody lines. But, I tell you what, they also got some real nifty sounds/tone out of Fender Stratocasters.....listen to Still the One, and on this one, blended acoustic and electric sounds well. Hall was always thought of as Mr. Orleans, but he wrote, played one lead guitar, and added baritone vocal/harmony. The amazing guy was Larry Hoppen, who had the distinctive tenor/soprano, upper vocal range, and and equally polished guitar technique. Rest his soul. I often thought that Orleans should have gotten together with Linda Ronstadt, Stone Ponys, and The Eagles.....they had that type of country/folk/rock fusion. That's my guitar thought for the day....lol. Take care.
Great lesson! I have always loved this song. Love the channel ! You always seem to pick songs I've wanted to learn but have not gotten around to. Thank you Dave!
I wish some of these guys were played all the way through at least the first verse in chorus bridge before starting to teach. It also showed the court charts. Can I see what the fingers are doing?
Just found your channel today Dave looking for Orleans and I started digging around. I love what I am finding here and especially the great song selections. Thanks for this channel Dave - I am going to learn a lot from you and I will support your efforts!
Being an old fart (that's "faht" for you NE peeps) I saw Orleans twice in concert in the late 70s. I have always loved this song. Thanks for another cool lesson Dave.
My comments went elsewhere. I love your tutorial on Dance With Me. I'll probably need to transpose to a C since my voice keeps Lowering as I age. I'll be back for other tutorials with you
One of my all time favorite songs.I too would like to see the chords you are playing as the notes mean little to me since I do not play by them. How about a tab sheet or chord diagrams. Would certainly be helpful to all who would like to follow your version. Thanks for posting.
Mr. Dave, I have searched high and low to find a video of you covering the late-great Walter Becker (of Steely Dan)'s timeless solo from "FM" -- dude... please do us all this honor.
Hi Dave great tutorial, I love this song but being a pensioner I find it difficult to work chords out any chance of posting chords you use Dave thank you.
Well Dave looks like I’ll be busy this evening bud 👍🏻 thanks once again, a great tune 👍🏻
Dave, many thanks for sharing your great gift.
Fantastic 👍🎸 best to you brother
Super. I always wanted to learn this one. It’s great. 🙏 thank you

Pretty sure Love Takes Time is Orleans without John Hall
@@DavesGuitarChannel I think so too... better vocals than Hall's limited vocals with that version of the band

Amazing lesson! And perfect for someone like me who's been playing for awhile, but is just starting to learn the entire fretboard! Thank you!
Outstanding man,
So thorough, amazingly flawless lesson
Great song, reminds me of my childhood growing up in the 70’s
Great lesson!
I have always loved this song.
Love the channel !
You always seem to pick songs I've wanted to learn but have not gotten around to.
Thank you Dave!
That's one of those songs I always knew but never knew what it was called or who played it. We all have a few in that category.
You are awesome 😎
I wish some of these guys were played all the way through at least the first verse in chorus bridge before starting to teach. It also showed the court charts. Can I see what the fingers are doing?
Great song....great teachings....nothing better!!! Kudos
Damn fine lesson as always!

Good job Dave,👍
Amazing Dave, what a beautiful performance. Thanks for share. Give my regards to the beautiful Emily. From Granada, Nicaragua, Central America.
Yes I love the song Crazy also. I have the 45.
Dave awesome solo on the journey song
Beautiful Dave. I'm struggling a bit to see your finger positions, but I'll get it. My wife loves.....with a little luck, that I learned from you.
great lesson

Nice job. Thank you
Great lesson, thanks! Will take a bit of tinkering without the tabs but will mange eventually!
Man Dave you keep coming up with all these great song this is a new one for me great song and lesson.

Superb in every way
My band is going to do this. Thanks
Oh wow! Thanks so much Dave!
This Dave guy is Beyond Very Good! I cannot understand why he only has 16,000 subscribers. He deserves 16 million subscribers.
He doesn’t take the time to teach where his fat fingers are on the strings. He rushes through everything.
Thanks Dave for the lesson. I really like how accurate you are. How about "You're Still The One" guitar lesson, also by Orleans?
Great lesson!
Thank you so much🎵
Love your lessons! I’m learning all the notes on the fretboard whether I want to or not! So thanks...

Cool channel man, i found you from Laurie's Mishmosh's channel, you got my support ✌️👍
Sounds great and I know you are playing this the way it was done by Orleans, You are a great teacher!
Great lesson
Excellent lesson Dave!
Thanks dave
Yes next you should do your still the one
You're underrated.
Could you do a song from Clapton
You sound 👍
Hey Dave,
Great Lesson! Where'd you get that Epiphone? Can't find one with those same headstock markings anywhere. Sounds fantastic.
It was discontinued but it's the Epiphone Masterbilt EF500R.
@@DavesGuitarChannel Cool. I found a Masterbilt AJ500RENS 2008 on Reverb and bought it. Those guitars have an incredible sound. Thanks.
Dave, what about Love takes time. I can't find any tutorial on the web.
Great song
Could you please show the chord diagrams, it is hard to see
-thank you🥺

Any Little River Band stuff?
I did Reminiscing
Hi Dave great tutorial, I love this song but being a pensioner I find it difficult to work chords out any chance of posting chords you use Dave thank you.
Dave you rock...exceptional lesson...btw, what’s the song at the beginning of each lesson? Those chords are badass!
It's a song by my band The Big Angry and i do a lesson on it.
Most accurate version...
Better than Daddy Long Les dumbed down version, lol.
Any chance you’ll be dumbing these lessons down for non music readers? Just need finger positions. I know I know I need to learn music 😊
Sounds good but you’re going much too fast can you please show the chart of each of those cords
Hard to see with fat fingers
Yes it's better to see with eyes
Great lesson!!
