- The best thing you can do in life is take risks and that’s exactly what Priscilla and her husband did. They decided to start farming dragon fruits even after being told they could not do well in Kenya or Africa.
During their first harvest, they sold a piece for Ksh.1000 and they are so glad they invested in one of the most expensive fruit in the world
On this episode of Inspire Global, Lynn Ngugi walks us through their venture , the farm and the cost of farming this fruit

Lynn's fans, these kind of stories should awaken your deep conscience and help you shape your purpose in life ofcourse within your passion. Do not use temporary excitement that these stories bring to also start without thinking through it. To succeed in in any business you must have passion on it.
❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lynn how can I get this lady email I have ka plot and I wanted to do dragon farming and I dint know how to go a bout it
Very good information.I would like to plant this fruits too.May I have her number.
For cooking oil, canola is not good. Instead, make cold pressed avocado oil, ghee and butter from your farm.
You can do some research about this ie healthy oils and fats that don't cause inflammation in the body.
Also read on why processed seed oils aren't good.
All the best.
@@reine924what about macadamia oil ?
I salute Kenyans for their passion for farming I wish all Africans can adopt that Kenyans attitude
It's a great farming which is inspiration to all, and also your you tube contribution is more affectionate, I love your programs.
This is what I admire about our children who are ready to take a risk with global knowledge and innovation. Well done!
Now this is the kind of mentality that we as Africans need. Our generation is the game change. These are the brains we need. Successful people are you and me.
I've met this girl. She is a rare gem. I'm a dragon farmer after listening to her talk about farming severally.
where can I get the seeds? I would like to do this
@@vivicakarry I got mine at Wonderful Heaven Orchard- Priscilla's farm.
I am in Rwanda and would like to try this kind of fruit where can I get seeds. Please help. Thanks
@@mectildekantarama7545 From wonderful heaven. Priscilla's contacts are on her UA-cam videos.
@alicegatama1898 where are you located dear coz am also thinking about contacting her and start the journey
Wow 😮 as a farmer, I am so proud of these African amazing farmers. I love the fact that they went for live mulching. It’s super conventional.
INSPIRE GLOBAL is the BEST thing that has happened to those with BRAINS.❤❤
This is the most inspiring interview I have ever watched on Lynn ngugi show. The lady is so authentic and honest to the core.
I totally agree…
Honesty ❤
TOTALLY
I am listening to this in my hotel room in Kampala after buying my dragon fruit in Entebbe and brought it with me to Kampala and was just searching on how to plant this healthy fruit and I bumped into this video. Well done Lynn to bring this up. I am from another African country and I really want to do this in a farm left by my parents that is under utiized. I love this project by Pricilla and her husband and thank you so much for sharing your ideas - it helps as africans to do our own things instead of relying on the developed world when we have such good soils and hard working people in the continent.
"We Kenyans (Africans) believe what we read in the books and trust white people more than our potential" Quote of the century!!!

This has inspired me alot, since am aspiring to start farming in a few months and this is just a confirmation on God's purpose for me this season. Thankyou both!❤❤❤
This right here is goals. I am a new dragon fruit farmer ❤
Where do u get the seeds or seedlings?
@@beatricealiba7053 i got mine from Oxfarm.
Buy the seedlings from wambugu apple farm ask the phone number
Me too😂
Hi where can I get seeds plz
Ati university, you have your own university there. We need to change our thinking. Getting a paper from an institution is just that. All she needs is to maybe target specific areas of interest and take online classes to get the knowledge then implement it on your farm. CHANGING OUR MINDSET ONE PERSON AT A TIME. GREAT JOB.
Well how about that? Great to pursue that fruit, for many reasons.1) This is an above ground fruit, (2) making it non-labor intensive, (3) re sale: price is great .Wonderful decision. Too many farmers invest too time and money, in under earth crops", and above ground crops, which are too labor intensive. Imagine the anti-toxins. Great is their reward. Note the prepared project (bore hole water area,) ensuring that the land has the needed water, to keep the plants, alive and her agricultural products, constantly available. Smart woman. We must always understand education is the key to success, period. How absolutely admirable! Go, go lady.
this is inspiring however the overall costs including 200 plants/cuttings (20 dollars per cutting 15:20), the garden preparatory costs, can't be only KSh 200000 as Priscilla says (19:25). this is clearly a more capital intensive undertaking than she says, one needs to do a more thorough study before going all the way. good job though ladies👏👏
Good morning team LNN

Hey . Thank you very much for this. ❤ where can l get dragon fruit seedling?
This is the best video i've watched in 2023. Priscilla is now on my meet up list for 1st quarter of 2024. Thank you Lynn for hosting her. This is divine connection.
Me too. Its the best one on one video showcasing the reality and not exgeration on the matters Dragon Fruit farming.
Am soon sending my wife to go meet her in her farm for a short one day training and seedlings as am embarking its farming in Rift Valley.
My prayers and blessings to the junior princess and prince of the Wambugus family.
Warm regards,

It is the ones who have the understanding and well educated that can share the knowledge to others as they know the power of networking.
I love the passion and brilliance exhibited by this wonderful girl. Learning a lot from her.
In my next life, I‘ll come as a Kikuyu. I love their courage!!

I salute both of you for taking the plunge even when no one believed in this venture. Keep growing and all the best.
😂😂😂am here trying propagate myself from scarcity mindset to abundance In all ways and manner........❤❤
A brilliant episode!!
Bring her again, now this is more inspiring than listening to motivational speakers and Ruto with his "from next week"
😂😂😂
Don't be opsessed with Ruto..He will not bring Ugali to your home ..wake up and do something for yourself like this youngsters..Shame on you..
My grandfather was a fruit farmer, we had sweet bananas, lemons, tangerines, oranges, pawpaw and many more but it's like non of his kids was interested in farming the likes of my dad but after the death of my grandfather everything died with him nobody took care of those farms, I'd love to be a farmer too.
You have it in your genes. Go for it. 😊
Yes, GO FOR IT =)
I follow Priscilla on Wonderful Heaven orchard farm, and she inspires me greatly. Just last night, I was watching her 10-acre orchard farm and was telling my husband that I would plan to visit this farm when I come to Kenya 🇰🇪. Blessed to have her on your show Lynn and LNN team.
That agronomist is mentally held down like Africa is selling their raw materials because they can't think they too can process and refine to sell finished product. For example, they will sell their timber cheap to the developed countries only to buy/ import expensive furniture from them. so glad Priscilla and her husband didn't heed to that agronomist pessimism.
Why Africa?
This is better than those who bring Kinuthia the cross dresser...educative
LGBTQ embrased this is real content
😂😂😂
Motivated? I am more than motivated! I am getting back to the farm! God bless this beautiful soul.
Incase she may pass through the comments, I would advice that instead of going back to school, she can take trips to places where these crops are done or countries that are generally good in Agriculture and learn more from there.
Yes
I second this . She can take like a short agricultural course in Wageningen University- It is the top Agricultural University in The Netherlands and is one of the top universities when it comes to research and innovation in that sector. But as always, Seek God’s direction first. 🙏🏾
Go girl! Agriculture is the way to go! Still praying that I get there someday.
Lynn, your interviews are relatable & very inspiring.
Thanks
Lynn, as a person you also have personal goals in life besides journalism (retirement agenda) where money will work for you then. I encourage you to purpose to borrow tips from these kind of stories your great guests bring to locate which one of them aligns with your passion so that at your later years you may say, it was journalism that brought you this new cushion. I real pray that in your 60s Lynn, the compliments you çould have gotten from over a million fans of LNN and God's grace that has carried you through, the end has justified the accolades you could have amassed. Love you Lynn unapologetically. 🙌
Why worry about lynn's retirement !!! Really !!! Please advise yourself or me but not Lynn...she is better of than millions of us.
Selfmade people think in star-shaped-lines-of-thoughts....good advice but, I think she is very aware of her environment, just by listening at the questions she asks her guests and how she makes sure the conversations are structured, all while listening at every word ....good advice nonetheless....
Thank you Lyn and Pricilla for this inspiring episode .
1. Tuko na Mindset ya Wazungu , hatujiamini kama Waafrika .
2. Ukulima ni Wa Wamaskini . Tulifunzwa hifo Nyumbani na Shuleni . Ukoloni mentality.
3. Heaven is here on Earth , let us do more here to be successful and lead sustainable lives because this is the Heaven we know of and are living on at this very minute . When our times comes ,We shall then rest in the Virtual heaven we learned of in the bible
And again , instead in sending our children to foreign studies in Canada where they end on the Streets , let us believe in ourselves and invest on Farm education . We have VERY fruitful arable lands across our entire African continent , enough to sustain us all .Come on Africa ! Arise we shine 🙏🙏🙏
Lynn, sometime back(somewhere mid 2023),in the crowd of internet information, I stumbled into Lynn Ngugi Show. I have watched many 'our' shows. I now understand why i have been glued to the show.

Hello my dear,
Amseeing there is a period of success which has been knocking on your door for a very long period of time but you don't know how to open for it in your life. And there are dreams you have been getting at night which you forget when you wake up, some times you hear someone calling you but the voice disappears, and when your in a room alone you always have the feeling that your not alone. And some times you wake up from your sleep in the morning when your feeling tired from no where. And financially, you always gets money but it always passes through your hands without doing what's its supposed to do. And people has been turning onto your back even at the last moments. My spirits are showing me alot about you. There people blocking your luck and wants to destroy your life by sending you evil spirits🎡
Great to see a determined individual going against the odds. Too many farmers dwell on under grown crops. This fruit is (1) above ground, (2) non-labor intensive and (3) has a fantastic profit margin, (4) yield from seedlings-fruition, is only one year. Interesting, and extremely, she has a needed water project, in situ. (5) Nutritious value-anti-aging. He is ensuring self sufficiency, provding her own manure via her goats. Key to her business, anyone period, is being educated. Most of all she is well motivated, by her passion for agriculture. Congrats!!
Inspire Global is My favorite segment in LNN. I want to Be inspired and See Successful stories si udaku😂
Cogratulations our wonderful student. Proud of you. I need to get your no i need those fruits. I am a lecturer at SEKU. WOW! I was so happy to learn you were here at SEKU.

We love you sweet Lady.
Priscilla you are avery encouraging woman am 23 yrs old and am planing to get into farming thanks for encouragement
A quick tip: Try to create your powder with out adding artificial sweeteners. Every time I try to purchase powdered fruits there is always some type of sweeteners. Every one can not tolerate those sweeteners. JUST A TIPE... you can grow dragon fruit just about any where i have small plants in my apartment. It's easy to grow. It's grown in the Caribbean also. If you have a seed try planting it to see wgat happen. Let seeds do what they do.
Thank you so very much for the insipiration i have gotten today.
This is my take now bse i thoght you propergate from seeds.Great job done.coming soon from uganda jinja.
The interview was marvelous... but I guess it could have been sweet if her husband could have joined her. All the way from Tz 🇹🇿.
