Big difference between playing a full contact position or sport into your 40s vs one where it dorsnt happen often. Less chance of injury/ strain on the body and not needing to exert yourself as much. Belichick might not have known he would be that good, but he knew he had potential, and knew more than the other coaches. First of all, he was very surprised that Brady was still available going into the later rounds. Secondly, he drafted him when he already had three other Quarterbacks. That is something very few coaches would do and it speaks volumes. Had he not had 3 QB's already, he likely would have drafted him much higher. Other coaches needed a QB and didn't even consider him.

Yah I'm a die hard pats fan since the bledsoe era and I love Brady and my Patriots but that was odd.
The problem his haters have is not that he won all those rings, it’s that he achieved mainly because of hard work, discipline and character! He causes people to examine themselves and removes excuses. No one would ever hate on Aaron Rodgers or Aaron Donald because those two were born talented, unlike Brady. Just like no one would ever be jealous of Brad Pitt or Leo DiCaprio fucking numerous women, people always want to point to some innate, genetic advantage to make excuses for others success, all things being equal.
