Over the years, Davy Jones performed many times at BB King's in New York City. This video is a complete and definitive document and, as it turned out, it marks the last time he'd appear there before he passed away on February 29, 2012. The set includes the rarely performed Tommy Boyce song "I Love You Like I Love New York City" and an ever rarer cover of "All of Me" + at 56:00 is the much-requested "Someday Man" (written by Paul Williams for The Monkees). The sound quality of this video is very good, conveying the tight playing and vocal harmonies of the band as well as capturing a cache of Davy's comedy and stories.

There will never be another Monkees. They were a phenomenon. RIP Davy , Peter and Mike. Rock on Mickey!
It's truly a pleasure watching Davy perform these iconic songs right before his passing!!! RIP DAVY, MIKE AND PETER!!! MISS YOU FOREVER!!
Davy died 11 days later -- hard to believe - he is so full of life here, energetic, youthful - you never know - RIP
It turned out he had misdiagnosed heart-artery issues, going back a year before. We noticed he had labored breathing at that point, but he was so high energy and covered his ailments well i.e. "the show must go on," that we figured he'd deal with it when he got around to it. Hindsight is always 20/20. Thanks for tuning in.
Man. . . Davy, as a stand-up comedian, is HILARIOUS!!!!
Absolutely fantastic show 👏 thanks for sharing much appreciated 👍
Sad what happened to Davy but such a gem to have this. Rest In Peace Davy. We’ll love you forever!

Miss Davy, thank for this rare video of our hero's last concert!
I was there that night. I always go to Florida for my friend's birthday Feb 19, but I decided to stay in NYC & see Davy and go to Florida early Sunday morning. I am glad I did. I stayed in Florida until Feb 29th. On the way back I was checking Facebook. Who would have thought the news?
This was great! Thank you for sharing. He was really an amazing entertainer💖💚💙💜
I miss Davy Jones
Cool! Never saw this before. Davy was more versatile than many people realized. Thanks for posting.
How I miss Davy!!!😞
Thank you so very much for sharing this! You guys were just awesome!!! I turned 14 the day before the show aired on September 12,1966 and I fell in love with Davy Jones that night. He still had his wonderful smile in this. He voice was still strong and wonderful. He was a great entertainer and I know he loved it. Tears streamed down my cheeks during alot of this concert. It's so special. Thank you again!🙏❤️
Great-bass!+
Thanks. Used to get sweat blisters on that gig in Florida...
Thanks for posting. He was always nice to the fans every time I met him.
Thanks for posting this.
Kind of sad...what a huge loss..Thanks for posting this.
Thank you for sharing this great concert with us..the band was super tight and Davy was always energetic!!!
You guys absolutely killed onstage. Thank you SO much for sharing this. I only saw Davy once in Nashville in 1987. I’m truly impressed by how tight the whole band is here. Excellent 🤟
Thanks for posting this. Always enjoyed watching David perform with his band.
Awesome Johnny! THX for sharing.
Thanks!
Weird to realize Davy had just a week and half to live when this video was recorded.
This is great, Johnny! Thanks! Was this Davy's last-ever show? :(
Next to last. We got on a plane for a private concert at Winstar Casino in Oklahoma the next day 2-19-12. That was his last concert on Earth. There's video of that but this BB King show is pro quality. To my knowledge this is the only posting of the entire concert. Thanks for tuning in.
Is this his last concert before he died??
Next to last. Next day we flew to a casino in Oklahoma and did a private concert for the high rollers. Then we all went home and, just days later, we all got the call that he had passed. Thanks for tuning in.
