    Your experience is similar to mine... waiting for the honeymoon to end, but it just keeps getting better. "GREAT" doesn't seem to do it justice... but it's what comes to mind every time I hop on the thing. The one positive thing I keep neglecting to mention in my posts about the Patton... is how much it just exudes quality. A lot of folks get caught up in specs and numbers because they are generally quite objective measurements... but the build quality of the Patton and it's suspension design is off the charts.

      I agree it feels very high quality.

    Progressive Springs would be Perfection. Soak up small bumps and big jumps.

    I ride very similar trails in the panhandle. One of the few videos I’ve seen with the stock street tire on Patton. Great video!

    Amazed how smooth the bumps were in the swamp with the street tire. I imagine the knobby tire would have felt even cushier on those bumps. I would opt for the exact Patton set up you have, street tire and 58 pound spring since I am a street rider myself but nice to know that the street wheel can easily be used on trails. Seems like a perfect cruising wheel and I love the agility of 16 inch wheels. You've shown this heavy wheel is quite maneuverable.

    Camera work, check.
    EUC insight, check.
    Happy dog, check.
    This channel has it all! Question: if I ride street 90% of the time would I still benefit from a knobby tire? Any down sides to the knobby vs street tire when riding on paved roads?

    • @Duf
      @Duf  Рік тому

      Knobby is ok on street normally, it's louder obviously. However in my use case if I have an option to get a street or knobby tire on a wheel I will normally choose street.

    Your swamp looks fun Duf. I too love my Patton, and I have had a great time learning EUC. It is looking like I will hit one million meters on the odometer of the Patton by the end of my first month of riding.

    From my experience the heavier springs matter when you do stairs or big drops. Otherwise the lighter spring is more comfy.

    • @Duf
      @Duf  Рік тому +3

      Yea it's weird though that the 58lb spring was seen as sort of a no go for this wheel. For me, it's perfect.

      Unless you need the extra range, Patton is better, IMO.

    Hola Duf… first thanks for vids on the Patton it’s kinda helping me to make my decision. I been debating which would be my first wheel with shocks and I was leaning towards the s22 pro but after watching your video on Patton and several others I’m most likely going to order Patton.. my only concern was range but 50 miles should be enough for now… may I ask which pads are you using with the Patton? And Keep the content coming my bro and stay safe out there… who knows maybe we go ride someday when I move out to Florida in the next year or so…
    @wheel_mob ( stay great) everyone!!

    • @Duf
      @Duf  Рік тому

      The only downside of the Patton is it does not have massive range but 50 miles is ok for many!
