Annecy, France was on the agenda for today's Vlog. Often called the Venice of France or the Venice of the Alps, it’s a stunning city that has a lot of beauty on offer. However, even with the beauty, I decided to go here at random. Before leaving for my trip and starting the living abroad vlog, I decided I wanted go to Annecy to see what it was like. Just a random town, or so I thought, turns out it’s quite the hotspot. I understand why, it is a stunning town just 2 hours from Grenoble, 1.5 hours from Geneva and 2 hours from Lyon, making for a fantastic day trip.
In this French travel vlog I get into why I travel to random places like Annecy and how random, researchless travel started with me. I also delve into what happens when you don't do research, both the good and the bad. If you want to join me on my adventures to random places and living in a new country every month consider subscribing!

The big church on top of the hill is a basilica. There are nuns living here and tombs of Saint François de Sales (patron Saint of journalists, and of Sainte Françoise de Chantal

Count how many places describe themselves as the Venice of …. Annecy France is pretty. I live in USA and I love France. We lived in Germany for 6yrs and had many trips all over France. Eze is lovely and the Alabaster Coast. Enjoy. Love Berlin too!

Never thought of that, many places do call themselves the Venice of… but when the architecture comes close then it makes sense haha ;)
