Anthony thank you for processing thw same image with two different methods. I aboslutely love silver effects pro 2 and you showed me a couple of things i did not know that were hidden from me.
I stopped using SEP2 when LR came out with all the B&W profiles (B&W 03 is one of my favorites), but when I did use it I found it was better to open a minimally LR processed color raw file, rather than one with lots of adjustments. However SEP2 usually left me with crunchy looking files, even when I didn't push it too hard. Another thing I did later on was to open SEP2 from PS so I could make a Smart Object, thus allowing re-edits in SEP2. And lastly I would save my own recipes/presets in SEP2.
The control points are cluinky and largely unusable to me. Idc what anybody says, they affect everything in that circle. I've never had success using them

Thank you!
I feel the halo around the lighthouse is rather distracting. But you are right this tool is one of the best for b&w
Silver efex is the best black and white software out there
I love Silver Efex Pro! Thanks for the overview.

Thank’s Anthony. I’ve been using it for years but you introduced me to a few features I never knew about.
Zone system! I think that this tool will become something I use in the future. Thanks, Anthony.
excellent video, thanks!
In photo club competitions a stroke is preferred. Topaz Adjust finishing touches works admirably
What do you mean by this?

What is causing halo around the lighthouse?
Over processing
You can still get the original Nix collection from Google for free. I find it works well in the latest version of PS. Just Google free Nix collection.
