Thanks. I’ve used SEP for a long time, but still learned some new things in your finishing section. I also like to start with film types, and often, when I can’t immediately decide, will select 3 or 4, and then toggle between them in history to choose the one I like best.
Always loved Tri-X 400. Very glad to have found it in Silver Efex, great being able to put a darkroom enlarger border around my images‼️
Wonderful Dave. You inspire me with your no-nonsense approach. Please keep ‘em coming.
Thanks Kathy. I appreciate that.
Awesome, used to use silver effx when was a free google product but then went with alien skin (exposure software) but that seems to have lost its edge so downloaded a trial of silver effx pro 3 and its great. So many photographers dont know how to produce an actual black and white, just muddy grey with no black and white so this type software should be a must in everyones digital darkroom.
Fabulous tutorial - thanks Dave for sharing.
You’re welcome Julie.
The issue with borders on this program is that they are subtractive, as they crop your image. They should be additive to the outside of the image.
Thanks Dave. More to think about!
Great, as always...
i learned that the color tones, selenium etc, can be manipulated even further!
thanks!
Great Tutorial, keep them coming, thanks a lot
I love the film types. Are there Luts in nik I wonder
The film types are awesome. There are no luts at this time but Color Efex Pro can give similar results. Who knows maybe at some point they will add luts.
@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly Maybe you could make some and sell them to DxO : )
Jump to 3:50 see film tyoes effects, impact.
I LOVE this filter :-)
Dave, I have a NIK account but can’t get into it. By change do you have a phone number or email I can go to for some help. It says I don’t have an account. Thanks for you help
I am sorry to hear you are having this issue Ron. I did a bit of research and the best I could do was find a link for you to submit a support ticket. DXO are pretty good at responding. Here is the link and I hope they can sort it out quickly: support.dxo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
