Thanks for the info! I dried an abundance of apricots and pears from our trees this year! I love being able to get bushels of fruit into a dozen or so mason jars. Now that's compact storage! Grandma always stewed her dried fruit and you can't ask for a better snack right put of the jar. Our peach tree produced 2 1/2 bushels and I've canned half but I wanted to try drying them. Your video is much appreciated! I need to get the rest of these peaches dried before the apples come on. 😁 Thanks so much!
@@greatescapefarms The dehydration will take longer. But I'm proposing the end product will be superior. You'd have to do this and convince yourself. 110-115 is the level of temperature which begins to sterilize and eliminate beneficial elements naturally carried on the peach.

I like this recpe❤
Thank you.
Add them to your oatmeal it's awesome
Great idea. Thank you!
Yummy!
For longer dehydration it helps to rotate the trays every few hours.
"Excalabator" 😂 love it
Everything can be dehydrated at lower temp ... 105 for instance, or less.
Thanks! The dehydrator directions suggested 135. Is there any advantage to doing it at a lower temperature?

@@TechnologistLive Thank you so much!
I bet those taste great!! Love 🍑 🍑 🍑 peaches
They actually seem sweeter when dehydrated, but they are tasty both ways.
@@greatescapefarms yes, drying should concentrate the sugars. My grandma used to dehydrate apples...called them apple schnitz .(sp?)
@@Iloveorganicgardening Oh, that sounds wonderful. Apples will be dehydrated in October and November (for my varieties).
They are wonderful - Actually sweeter dehydrated than before dehydration.
Hey its Jeanne! What do you do with your dehydrated peaches? Just eat them as they are?
That is what I do with them. A viewer suggested re-hydrating them. I'm going to try that this week and see how it works out.
I use them dry in my oatmeal !!!!
Rehydrate with a tad bit of sugar and put over ice cream or pancakes.
Show how they are when you REhydrate them.
Excellent idea. I usually dehydrate them in my mouth, but I'll give a try in a bowl. Thanks for the idea!
LOL!!!
