@@KARATEbyJesse I really love the break down of the fight and how it sort of becomes a mental chess match. The post fight head space/emotions Oliver shared was very enlightening on how all that build up for months then trying to unwind. How it takes time and not like flipping a switch. Thanks for sharing. Good luck, and looking forward to seeing more.

As someone whos doing martial arts for more than 16 years now and who also fights/fought in MMA (and TKD,BJJ), i can say that his words are 100% true and wise! theres a ton going on in our heads during the preparation and its not just a toll on the body but more so on the mind imo. but visualisation and preparation is key. keep up the good work both of y'all. im a big fan for years. Well done Oliver!!!, Not only on your success but how well you have explained your journey over the years. Your amazing ability to talk about the different experiences you face gives us all a very unique perspective on the importance of different aspects of knowing true self defense. For example, ground fighting. When you first started doing this you were not as efficient at it, so you learned how to be. You made me realize that you can be great at one art, but it you don't have an understanding of another it can put you at a serious disadvantage. Just wanted to express my appreciation for sharing your journey. You have given me some much needed perspective and understanding. Thank you

Best part of the video is when Oliver talks about how it actually is to be a fighter. Past the screaming fans and the bright lights. The training, the injuries and especially the psychological side of fighting, winning and the post fight hitting him with its "nothingness". Very human reactions. Thank you Oliver for the privilege of taking us with you into those vulnerable moments. Few fighters would admit those moments. The fighters who don't acknowledge these moments, are the lesser fighters, the uncomplete fighters. It takes strength, true strength to do that. You will go far.

You guys are so inspiring. I've been doing taekwondo for 18 years, kickboxing for 10 years, Uechi Ryu Karate for 8 years, and wrestling for 7 years. When I was about 16, that's when i wanted to create my goal to become a pro mma fighter. Many people made fun of me, said i can't do it because I'm not good at any of the martial arts that I do, and tried to always bring me down. I've had 4 muay thai fights and even though 2 of those fights I didnt do so well, I keep on going. Now that I'm finally done with college with an exercise science degree, I'll be having my first mma fight this year! I've been following Jesse and Oliver for a while now and watching them gives me hope that one day I'll become a pro. Even though I'm 23, I'm not going to stop until I finally reach my goal. Thank you Jesse and Oliver for always posting great content and I hope to meet you guys one day to tell both of you for being amazing, nice martial artists!
