  • Watch Oliver "The Future" Enkamp make his Bellator debut fight in London against Walter 'The Sniper' Gahadza, one year after his UFC loss against Danny 'Hot Chocolate' Roberts in Stockholm.
At the end of this video, Jesse 'The Karate Nerd' Enkamp and his brother Oliver breaks down how Karate and MMA can be combined, like Lyoto 'The Dragon' Machida or Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson does.

Jesse Enkamp Nothing but good wishes for Oliver. As I said elsewhere, hope he has an enriching, successful career. Also hope he can manage a timely retirement from taking punches with his brain healthy. Then he can be a Utube or gym instructor for others until hes 85 or so. I wish the same for you Jesse.

A via kändisens manager mawasigeri. Lyft telefonen inom 1, 2. 3.

GSP once said: "The difference between a martial artist and a fighter is that a martial artist trains every day. A fighter will only train a few months before his fight." A true martial artist MUST train a few times per week. It's a passion for him or her, not an obligation. Can I get an Osu or an Amen or something? lol

Nice to see little bro get the win. His experience in UFC must have taught him so much skills wise, but it's his mental strength I admire to stay positive and come back from a rough couple of fights. Also great to see the win by submission and to see him actively going for takedowns.

I wish more MMA practitioners would take on the Enkamp family attitude and sense of honest self respect. Congratulations @Oliver Enkamp !!! Everyone that is a fan, fighter, coach, promoter or other need to watch this video. I have been involved in NHB/MMA since 1996 and we need to pressure all the promoters especially big ones that make huge money off the fighters to pressure them to treat the fighters better.
The way they treat Oliver Enkamp in such an unprofessional way making him run here and there waiting hours, without food... for hours... waiting for his fight is normal. But, totally unacceptable.
We need to work together to ‘demand/force’ all MMA promoters, especially big promoters like Bellator MMA and UFC to treat and pay fighters better. They make ‘big’ dollars off them, they need to treat and pay them much, much better.

Everywhere in the world, there’s always unfairness! But, I think Oliver handled it extremely well and professional. Apparently, the local officials wants the other guy to win so they made up all those CHANES so make Oliver tired and frustrated. Hoping that will weaken Oliver. Fortunately, it did the opposite, Oliver was more focus and determined that lead to the win, a great win, great job, Oliver.

Very cool to have a fight explained like that! From the outside, it just looks like a bunch of quick movements with some grappling and punching, but knowing what Oliver intended to do and why is really helpful.

What you guys mentioned again at around 21:00 is very interesting to me. It seems what happens a lot in matches is that the opponent's primary skillset is known and then the fight gets decided by something outside of that. Either because the opponent puts extra effort into neutralizing/avoiding that primary skillset or because the first fighter feels their control of that domain allows them the space to do other things with less fear of repercussions. Ryan Hall is a strong recent example known for his grappling but it frees his ability to kick almost indiscriminately because he'd LOVE for them to try to take him down. It's especially pronounced when you get two grapplers that end up doing no grappling but you can still see awkward grappling matches when two striking heavy combatants don't want to risk being KO'd but are still trying to keep the match going.

I like how this video shows the background of fighting. Most people think that fighters have a very precise schedule and can manage themselves all the way to the fight but the actual lead up is full of surprises and unplanned stuff
