Have you ever visited Brookwood cemetery in Guildford Surrey ,definitely worth a visit,there are hundreds of these brave souls Graves,and every conflict going back years
It's poignant, beautiful and touching all at the same time. To think that these brave souls laid down their lives so we could all enjoy our freedom. Intense. Every marker represents someone who had family and friends who loved them and missed them to the end of their days.
They feel its an honor inherited to tend to the American cemetery. They do a beautiful job honoring Americas fallen heroes. Thank you Luxemburg, Netherlands, Belgium, etc. ❤❤❤
That showed what kind of person he really was. He could have easily been buried in the family plot in the US but chose to be buried with his men. Hope to visit it someday among other sites such as maybe Bastogne and the Ardennes.
Those young men who gave so much for us to have the freedom we have today. But as I look at what has happened to our country today, I wonder if their sacrifice was worth it? They were truly heroes and the greatest generation ever!
The generation that truly loved this country and wanted to volunteer to fight a war that they knew was absolutely horrible, we'll never be able to repay that debt to all of the men and women from all of the countries who paid the ultimate sacrifice
When I get to heaven I'm gonna say thank you for all your sacrifices to all the soldiers men and women and tell them I wish we could all do more for the soldiers
This was the first cemetery I visited during my tour in Germany during 1984-1986. I was looking for my uncles grave, but, he was in Maastricht, the Netherlands. I went there on another Saturday. And three other cemeteries on various days. I traveled a lot while stationed in West Germany.
brings tears to my eyes every time I see this...my grandpa landed there that day and was wounded , survived,,he got to go home, raise a family and enjoy his grandkids...I was his first grandchild. I'm sorry they all gave everything for freedom and opportunity and today America is shamefull for what it has become...its falling and now there is no turning back...im sorry to all those that gave there life's... im a 60 yr old Army vet...Born in Eastern Oregon...the goid old people...very few left now

Many years ago i was visiting family in California...one night while i was staying with our Aunt and Uncle ..i was watching "PATTON".. Our Aunt came in and asked what was i watching..i told her Patton..she chuckled and said "oh your Grandfather couldn't stand that man...

This was real eerie for me. My husband that stationed at Baumholter Germany and went to this cemetery. Each cross was in line with each other in straight lines no matter which direction you looked. And on one side of the road germans was on one side americans on the other side so this was interesting as my dad was a tank person in WW 2. But i wanted to see history first hand plus the ovens where they burned people to death . And in 1986 when i was there the burndt flesh was still there. But to make it look pretty they put flower boxes around them. That made me cry

I pray that they are released for purgatory if they are still there, that they have moved on to the beautific vision basking in your glory with the light of your face shining up on them.
