They need to have a 60-degree difference. Example if you desire 130 on the water you recive at the tap, the set point is 130. Your high limit will be set at 190. Check with the manufacturer representative for their opinion but this has been my experience.

Where you hook up to do a combustion test?
Drill a tiny hole in the exhaust pipe and stick the probe in roughly half the diameter of the stack.
