I use some old soaker hose from the garden and cut enough to cover the ends of my vice grips, it protects the flex line when clamping down on it. There’s a specific tool you can buy as well that clamps the line safely ( apparently) but the soaker hose pads the vice grips nicely. Nice video. Thanks. Just lubed up up my rear sliders, it was not sliding freely and dang that rim was hot, and yes, that smell, very specific it is. Cheers.
About to work on my 2500 Ram. Thanks for all the good info. Great explanation and to the point. Too many like to ramble on about things that have nothing to do with the job at hand. Loved your video. Thank you
I echo the other commenters. Great explanation. Wrench sizes, and process were clear. Start to finish with nothing left out. And yes, I also now know the smell of overheated brake pads!
Thanks for the video. You are super lucky your hard brake line did not have its fitting seized to it. In the event you do have a seized fitting on the hard line you can spin the flex line in the hex hole by pushing the hard line down a bit. or you can replace the hardline too... not me tho!

Thanks for taking the time to let me know!
Your caliper removal looked easy couldn't and havent gotten mine off yet. Impact breaker bars you name it still stuck on.
I'm about to change the flex line on my neighbor's Cummins, this helped a lot so thank you.
Great instructions, did not too long ago on mine. The brake line likes to implode right where the bracket is.
Thanks for the help man it's always good to see you or your in-store for before you get there
