Thanks for the videos. I bought my Equinox 800 Saturday at the GPAA gold camp here in Alabama. I couldn’t get it quite figured out right out of the box and no signal to pull up some videos. I watched two of your videos today and started finding finds today. I was at a old house and not at the gold camp but that’s okay. I found several targets just in a couple of hours and very happy with them and the detector. I had a Minelab Xterra 705 a few years back and sold it. This Equinox blows it out of the water and I loved it too. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for your videos. I subscribed a few days back when I was trying to decide between the gold monster 1000 and the Equinox 800. I am SO glad I went with the 800! Thanks again for the videos. Of course I thumbs up every video! 🙃
I truly enjoy your hunts and nox800 educational videos. I have watched many. What I enjoy most is how you come across genuine without the need for a gimmick. I have learned a lot. If I can ask, what shovel do you primarily use for your hunts. Thank you.
I just got the minelab equinox 800 and was thinking about getting the 6inch coil. Seems like a good add-on. Question: when changing coils do you have to reset detector? Hold the power button till it resets? Or no reset is needed when switching coils? Thanks!
Yes for the coil go to outlawmetaldetectors.com and tell Dan I sent you, he will get you set up. I personally like to do a reset when changing the coil. Some say it is not needed but I would rather hunt in confidence. Be sure if you have any saved programs to write them down because a reset will set the detector back to factory settings. I don't generally save programs so it's quick and easy.
Larry, that soil looked like concrete! Anyways what did the coins come up as on your VDI? Were you using Field or Park? Thanks for sharing the videos. Don
Hi Don I was using field 2. Normally the nickel comes in at 12 but these had bouncy signals probably because of depth and possibly iron around them. I am working on another video about my deep settings and what I listen for.
