Idyllic sailing! In all my years of sailing my tri, it was very rare to have a nice wind on the beam , and flat seas! Seems like I was always going to weather or downwind.
Yes the weather routing and data has made sailing a lot safer and it’s easier to pick solid weather windows these days. Sounds like you must have been a little wet sailing those conditions 😁
Seems that way just crazy how she wants to sit on those 8-10’s all the time. Exciting to think the rig and sails haven’t even been optimised yet so we’ll definitely squeeze some more out of her 😁
@@TrimaranSpiritXL I think their sizing is mostly optimized for safe, fast cruising. Raising the center of effort with a taller mast would reduce stability, for example.
These perfect conditions don’t just happen. You two plan your departures and pick your windows. Well done!
Agree, great weather routing and planning. I like that Jason also shares the tools and use of them.
Many thanks 🙏 we definitely do our best to not have adverse conditions and to make things as easy as we can 😁
Dream conditions!!
Yeah just magic really hard to beat it when it’s like this! This time of year offers spectacular conditions.

Sails so well! Looks like about 9+ knot average boat speed there too.

That aft cabin hatch light - is it a water or light issue?
The hatches are tapped up to stop sunlight entering. We hope to have nice grey hatch covers made soon.
the real question is ,, who has the right of way ,, Vendee globe or the sydney to hobart mono snobs
