@monsterhog1118 yes actually they are pretty similar but yet so different. You can see the measurements at Google typing Delos 2.0 and make comparisons with the beginning of this video.
Absolut Fantastic!!!!!Wishing you many sea miles of fantastic sailing and experience on your SOUTHAFRICAN built vessel!!!! Good Ad for the Country!!!!!
OMG, Dawn Hunters. 🎉🎉🎉 This is going to be g.r.e.a.t. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Can’t wait to see all the upgrade land additions installed and everything cleaned up. Going to be a fabulous ride. ✅ See you next time. 🌊💨⛵️⚓️🏝️👙🌞✨🎄✨
3:33 "No though hulls at all" 🤔 Do I need an eye check or do I see a ...? Not envious at all🤩😛🤩 Congratulations on the new vessel 🎉 May it serve you well on your voyages for many years.
The fitting you see is a welded tube that rises above the waterline inside. Thru hull is a fitting that passes thru the hull and is attached by threads or hardware. There are boat terms used in general and terms used in marine engineering. Slight differences but huge variation in application Thank you and all for the comments. UA-cam algorithm loves them. Capt W. 👍🏼
The design is very well thought out. Aside from stainless ice breakers on the pontoon bows it's ready for anything! You've found the perfect home guys! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
She's a beauty" and the boat is awesome... lol Seems all my fav' sailing channels are moving towards a aluminum cats. Delo's is building 1 from scratch. looking forward to your upgrades and personal touches. Carry on sailors ..
WOW what a design. I have to say I have not seen anything like that so far on any of the videos I've been watching. That is a top-notch bones to that boat. Cannot wait to see what you guys do as far as upgrades. I have no doubt that it will be absolutely stunning when you are done. You should have no problems selling Saba she is a beautiful boat. Looking forward to all the shenanigans from both of you on your new customization of your new Dawn Hunter. Great to see both of you again look so forward to your videos just love you guys You're so down to earth, crazy, and exciting people to be around. Never a dull moment with you two. Merry Christmas Happy New Year and as always stay safe and God bless
Finally, a cat with an upper and lower helm station and, it’s aluminum. Major props on just those two things. Not so sure about the room size but everything else about this boat screams solid. Great choice in my mind and I cannot wait to see the updates. Stay safe guys….
It was great meeting you guys here in Durban, South Africa when you came to buy the boat. Enjoy making her yours and the future adventures you experience aboard.
Those were from sink drain which have been welded shut and no longer used. There is a water entry tube in the engine bay that extends above the water line with a top cap. It can be removed for cleaning the inlet. Connected to this tube are 2 raw water valves for salt water accessories I was sure would get some reactions on this comment. Lol Thank you Capt W
Great to see you two and the Boat is A#1, I think you are much further ahead than the sailors that are currently having boats built. Hope you enjoy Christmas, Love you guys.
Bloody good!! Merry Christmas to you both and Happy new year to all Dawn Hunters community. What a great channel, and so looking forward to the next adventure. Peace to all from Matt in Australia, Oi Oi Oi.👍👍😎
I took your question serious about what else you could want and came up with a list. Washing machine, dishwasher, maybe a little more chain maybe some doubles for redundancy a water maker a couple bean bag chairs and making sure everything is up to date. Almost nothing basically. Without any updates you have one of the nicest sailboats I’ve seen. Congratulations, I’m subscribing so I can see them updates!
9:42 Wow, that was close, looked like it got the camera lens ! 15:53 Those water lines are called "pex" and I'd get the crimping tools and the rings and the right angle white things because that is where they will leak if they do. I had an RV with them, maybe even a little older than that boat, and many of those fittings started to leak, they crack. Its easy to work with if you can get a tool inside the compartment to do the crimping. Wow, I'd get another bilge pump ect system for a spare. Was it your boat that had the sea chest fixtures ? I really like those, but they aren't really something you'd need for tropical sailing, they keep ice from damaging or plugging your through holes.
You’ve come a long way from the Capt Ron that loved to touch bottoms more than William. She is excellent for what you 2 are planning. Congrats team. Looking forward to your future travels. Merry Christmas to you.
AW geese. Guys, You Don’t Need to Be Crazy -But It Helps ! Beautiful Animal of a Tank of a race going Catermermeran Sailboat - WOW ! All the other captains are going to be Jealous when you come to Port ! I’m sure you’ll make her inside creature comforts amazing, She is going to be one of a kind. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Can’t wait to see Her & Dawn You Unfortunate 60 something Dentist 🇨🇦Cdn. Dave 🇨🇦. 😎❤️🎯👀😁👍
Hi guys, Its minus 12 here near Toronto on Saturday the 21. I just missed you cuz it says you posted 5 hours ago. Hope everything is super fantastic and you have a great Christmas!!! She,s a beauty Clark.
What a fantastic exploration boat! FAST!!! And good things for both "him" and "her". How on earth did you find this awesome boat??? Very excited to see how you upgrade her! New nav on the menu? Cheers!
Love this one , what happened to your first boat..that pole dancing stage is nice but what a boat ..excess of 25 knots 😮 you can fly ! All you need is an emergency small aluminum bathosphere .. blown away by the mast and boom..id just feel unsafe with so much window but what a view to go if you're gonna go 😅
Thanks very much for the tour. Boat has a lot of good design features. Given the fine hulls, assume it sails efficiently. 18 tons isn't incredibly light for a 53 foot. Is that light displacement or cruising? Technical tip: a lapel microphone results in much better sound. Bluetooth ones are readily available if you're using a phone to make the videos.
Looks like your at the Ao Po Marina, i'm heading that way in a few months to start build an 80ft motor cat (tri-hull actually - i want the extra hull space in the center), will keep an eye out for you. Cheers.
You might want to include a couple of high capacity roof vents to pull hot air out of the main living area. ..as well as blinds or screen or heat reflecting limo film on those big side widows for the tropics and then add insulation for cold conditions, the reversible foil blankets used in camper vans are a good example rather than plain cloth blinds. 🤔 See what Aluring artic had to do. Fit rope cutters to the prop shafts and a small diameter wire deflector to the hull undrside ahead of the rudder hull gap.
I was a bit sad when you sold your first ship.. I kind of liked the pirate adventure vibe it had.. this one seems much more in keeping. I really like the lines of it… congratulations!
Thanks for the tour. It appears to be a wonderful boat for your use, skills, and lifestyle. Have we met the doggie yet? If not, please share more. Where are you on the hard? Meaning, Phuket or another location? Happy Holidays. By the way, I have yet to get the card from South Africa.
Jana, or is it Yana, can't remember, but love you just as you are, don't let some arshole put you off, not that I think that will be easy. Love youre videos just to damn far apart. Nice holidays to you, see you next time. Johan du Preez. Missed you when you came to buy that beautiful Boere boat. Do you know what that mean, it means South African in a manner. Made by a S.African.
Yes!! Anyone who has owned a boat of any size knows the head rush of being upside down trying to replace a bilge pump. They only seem to go bad when under 50mm of water. Lol Capt W
Hey. There is no gen onboard and I have extensively researched installing one or moving to all DC and utilizing technology as they do in semi trucks, emergency vehicles and cell tower stations. Stay tuned Thank you for your comments Capt W
One thing you can do is remove one of the bedrooms and make it into a bigger bathroom. Could even maybe put a big jacuzzi style tub in it. Talk about relaxing and comfort a jacuzzi tube on a sail boat, yea sign me up.

The best destination sail boat on UA-cam! Amazing cat bro!~!!
Wow congratulations! This boat looks incredible, can’t wait to see what you do with it!
Woww you guys,💕 beautiful boat, that was a lucky find William😀,the owner new what he wanted also⛵
Would be interesting to understand the differences between your boat and the one SV Delos 2 is building
Delos 2 doesn't have a flybridge type helm so it has a much lower boom.
@monsterhog1118 yes actually they are pretty similar but yet so different. You can see the measurements at Google typing Delos 2.0 and make comparisons with the beginning of this video.
Delos has a prop shaft and skeged rudders. The Sail drives on this boat are a cheapout mistake.
Absolut Fantastic!!!!!Wishing you many sea miles of fantastic sailing and experience on your SOUTHAFRICAN built vessel!!!! Good Ad for the Country!!!!!
I saw 2 life rafts, 1 at tip, 1 at back.
Really nice.
This is a tank!

Hi guys, congratulations!🎉!! great boat, that must have come with a large price tag but looks well worth it.
WOW what a design. I have to say I have not seen anything like that so far on any of the videos I've been watching. That is a top-notch bones to that boat. Very functional and smart build cat. Mery Christmas and already a Happy New Year to you both nice couple! Grtz. from the Netherlands
Finally, a cat with an upper and lower helm station and, it’s aluminum. Major props on just those two things. Not so sure about the room size but everything else about this boat screams solid. Great choice in my mind and I cannot wait to see the updates. Stay safe guys….

Great looking boat so much potential. Looking forward to your onward journey. Very merry Xmas, and Super new year.
"Notice that the boat does not have any through-hulls at all." (through-hull visible over his right shoulder).
@@thenotoriousyumz haha half of the facts on this seem pretty far off

That cat is amazing, everything I would ever want, except maybe bigger sleeping area.
Your correct. The sleeping area is tight but I have much less distance to catch Iana. Lol
Capt W .
I like that bilge pump rig set up!
Yes!! Anyone who has owned a boat of any size knows the head rush of being upside down trying to replace a bilge pump. They only seem to go bad when under 50mm of water. Lol
Capt W
Yep, I will have to steal that design. I utilize one that I thought was pretty unique, but I like yours better.
Miss You Guys❤
You’re my hero
No thru hulls with a thru hull over your shoulder....lmao...this is something i would say....😂
😂

The camera makes the room seems smaller than it appears with all those mattresses.. what kind of watch? very nice.
Hello.
The watch is Garmin Tactix ameled and Yana has Garmin ameled fenix 8
Thank you for following
I know a gen is not needed but does it still have one and yes it appears you have got life figured out good job

Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
Insane boaaaat
I may have missed it, but what’s the weight and bridge deck clearance like?
You always need a GAS generator !!! Solar is good but not enough !!
Cool cool cook ???? I would say it’s a hot cook in the galley 😂😂
Given the width of your boat can all marines accommodate your boat?
Enjoy
Wondering how the design handles lightning strikes? André
It looks like it sits super low…do you get any wave slap?
