"Experience is something you dont have, until just after you needed it." Its a beautiful thing Jumper Man!
You always have great comments 😂 Thank you brother! It was definitely a beautiful thing 😂 Your support is much appreciated🙏🔧⚡️
Ex-plumber here! I saw this crawlspace, the leak and was on the edge of my seat. Been there done that. No going back now… ohhh, there was a tiny movement. You got this! 🎉❤
I do this same type of work in hospitals and other commercial and industrial sites. We’re not supposed to touch any valves. The problem is that a lot of these stationary site engineers don’t know their own buildings. Good work bro.
Also those valves really should be moved regularly to avoid them sticking. This very few people bother to do.
You can't touch the valves because the engineers don't know what they're for?
@@garrettmillard525 we’re not supposed to touch them because it’s their facility and they’re responsible for shutting down the loops and bringing them back up. Oh I could definitely do it but company policy is that the liability falls in them if they forget to open or close a valve
@@garrettmillard525 if it’s something like a ahu or a package unit I just need to ask if I can shut it down. I do work on a lot of critical facilities. Don’t want to close the wrong thing and kill an operating room or an icu wing.
Man! I may complain about my company's overzealous safety protocols but seeing you in that safety nightmare kinda makes me happy my company is a little over the top!. Great job ! I respect you for being willing to go through that hell
Great video, brother !!!! 🎉 once you cut that pipe i was like shit no going back from there . Glad the hvac gods where on your side this day .
Thank you! I felt the same exact way at that moment. They definitely were. Very thankful that job was done. Stay tuned for new videos every week! 🔧⚡️
Yup, get'r done, time to earn that paycheck 😂 Been there.❤
JMT I admire how you get things done in such horrible tight spaces.....you the man! 🤙
Thank you very much! I try 🙏 Much appreciated brother. I always get stuck in tight situations. Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
That point of no return cut is always some scary shit! Great job!
The pressure was definitely on when I cut that. Even the night before knowing I was going back for another attempt to fix this was big pressure. Thank you brother! Stay tuned for new nightmares every week 😂🔧⚡️
That's a good name "the point of no return cut", you know after you make that first cut your day has the possibility of going bad to worse because you don't know what's in store next !
Yup that's the point where you litteraly 🙏 that there is nothing else going on. Did a very similar repair a few years back and the pipe literally fell off 😳 entirely 💀💀💀
Jumper man, I subscribed to this channel because of this unit, it's turning into a real saga!
Thats awesome! That unit was a whole mess and a half. Welcome to the channel! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Anybody that has turned a wrench knows what it’s like to have limited leverage. The torch saves the day again. My mini pipe cutter has also saved me many times. Good job.
Facts. It's the worst with tight spaces but thats all you get here in NYC in many locations. The torch did save the day. I hear that! Thank you! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Trick I would use in a tight space would be to take a scrap elbow and thread it on top of the nipple and then thread a longer piece into that to use as a breaker bar
Wow , this was the best soap opera ever ... Great work JMT ... Thx
Soap opera 😂 Yes, it was. Thank you Eddy! Thanks for watching & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Our infrastructure is old and broken and too expensive yo fix , the world needs more technicians like you , excellent video
Brings back memories of when I used to be on breakdown maintenance team.Great piece of fitting work carried out by yourself
Bro us old guys did that crap back in the day and from all of us thank you for carrying the torch forward. When that nipple broke loose after the torch we all knew you had it. Congrats from us old farts that just cant do it anymore

Great job. I feel your pain. Maybe a longer nipple to start off with to get above the elbows. But your there and I'm stuck on top of a different FCU 😊
Good job! Brought back memories of my Chief Engineer days. Could have really used your skills back in the day. Your positive attitude and style is rare these days.
BRO, TONS OF PROPS to YOU!!!! I used to do nothing but temperature controls and I DONT MISS THOSE TIGHT SPACES!!! Nice job, good to see someone cares.
Nicely Done! Perserverance and a little bit of ingenuity went a long way to your success.👍
Wow, that was awesome, I enjoyed watching the great techniques you used to get it done.✌️
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed watching this video. Appreciate your support! 🙏🔧⚡️
Very nice work as usual. Gotta love the tough ones. Your experience really paid off, patience as well.
Thank you brother! Much appreciated 🙏 Experience definitely played a role. Need to keep calm in hectic and pressured situations 💯 Thanks for watching & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Mann i screamed like my fav team won the superbowl when the peace got unthreaded (and cursed a lil lol) JEEZ LOUISE GREAT JOB MAN !! hope u celebrated that night
Let's goooo!!! 😂 Thank you very much! I was exhausted when I came home so all I did was relax. Wanted the day off the next day & I ended up with a 6AM emergency with another huge water leak in the same building. That video drops this Saturday 🔧 Stay tuned & thanks for watching!
I agree with “ YOUR FUCKING AWESOME” I and all my guys watch you. Makes for GREAT lunch conversation.
Haha thank you!! That's awesome that I'm part of lunch conco with the guys 😂 Thanks for watching & stay tuned for new videos every week! 🔧⚡️
Great work Jumper man. I bet you are glad that nightmare is over.
Thank you! I am beyond glad 😂 Stay tuned for new videos every week! 🙏🔧⚡️
ohhh man you have balls of steel! I was feeling all of your pain and nerves if this not gett it to work... But one more time... you have big balls for sure! I can not even imagine what will be scenario if you cant fix it.... But man you are legend!!!
Great f**king job jumper man tech. I’ve been waiting for this follow up on this call. This was a complete nightmare and turn into dream work entertainment. I could here this intense buildup in your voice before the point of no return when cutting that pipe open. The self belief you have is the passion that drive to go through this. I’ve been in these same situation. Celebrate not many people can do what you just did. Drink a nice cold one after this job. It the closest feeling of pure ecstasy when finishing this job……🎉
Great job bro...good to see that good workmen are still out
Great Job with that leak JMT that space and that leak looked nasty nice work with that cut! 👏 love this channel man!
Congratulations on the work. extremely laborious maintenance.
Thank you very much! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Hey man, nice job getting nipple out,i used to do that back in the day I don’t miss working in conditions like that😮 super good job
Have been waiting for this day to come. Nice work.
& I have been dreading for this day to come haha thank you!! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Great job as always JMT. Interesting and helpful video. 👏👏👏
Thank you very much! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Awsome job. Great video. To me the hardest part seems to be purgeing the system all those pipes throught the while building didden valves where would you even start. Thats what has always intimadated me with commercial. Is all the piping that seems to go everwhere. How to find the purge valves. It looks like it would take days to purge a big building.
Very talented, Sir.
Thank you very much! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Fantastic repair man, you're a rockstar

this was intense!!!!! holy #%^*. major major credit to you & your partner. this was truly incredible to watch
It really was! It was a tough one. Thank you & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
The key would have been to have a longer dialectic pipe then the other fittings otherwise way to stick with it, people who don’t do this kind of work don’t understand how difficult or of what character people like us have, good job!
Who else was holding their breath til that nipple broke loose.
Hats off, brother. Its jobs like this is the reason we do what we do.
Pack your cape up until next time brother.
I've been watching this saga since you first got there. I'm glad you got it! Thank God that tee was good otherwise you'd be f**ked! I was feeling the pressure you were lmao 🤣
Did all the correct things from start to finish. The guys that stay in shape and think out of the box are the guys that are the most valued . Keep that in mind.
I think the UA-cam algorithm led me here after watching some drain cleaning videos. Despite all the literal crap and fatbergs they have to deal with, I think HVAC is the higher pressure (literally?) job. Great job getting a good outcome despite the conditions
Whatever the hell they’re paying you, it ain’t enough. There is no turning back once you cut you sure have some guts.
Terrible access always is great job I hate water leaks
I always end up with terrible access 😂 Water leaks are a pain. Thanks for watching & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Try amalgamating tape. Wrap it tight enough and it will seal mains pressure leaks even
Great Job Jumper, I knew you could do it
Glad you had that confidence in me 🙌 Thank you very much & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Fantastic skillset jmt
Thank you brother! Always appreciated 🙏 Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Getting that nipple to break loose and start turning was a REAL butt clincher! Congratulations!
😂😂😂 Thank you!! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Beautiful!!!! Turning back on the water to verify no leaks was as stressful as removing that nipple 😅😅
Thank you! Agreed 😂 Glad I got away with this one. Thanks for watching & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Wow! I am star-struck impressed. Think I can handle the water oozing from my new jet pump install now. Plastic fittings and tape just weren't doing the job. Brass, tape AND paste should work.
i do residential hvac and watching what you just did here was insane.
Just creepy n horible space ...you have done well sir ... Salute ...
Unfortunately when stuff is designed and installed any thoughts regarding maintenance are ignored
If they had used the proper nipples this would not have happened. He thought, "I'll be long gone when this blows".
great work!
Just knowing I have a job like that scheduled in the future keeps me up at night. When that nipple started turning I literally yelled “f*** yeah!” 😂
Good job!!!
Thank you very much! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
What a cluster. Good job.
You should lookup internal wrench tools, might help for situations like this
I thought the same thing.
Man this whole video had me on the edge of my seat! Good stuff
Like a champ!!💪🧰🥷
Let's gooo! 🙌 Thank you & thanks for watching! 🙏🔧⚡️
Great job bro. More patience then me
Always enjoy watching your videos. Great Job!
Glad to hear thay & thank you! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
The original techs should have made that area more serviceable‼️Leaks happen, and service techs must have adequate room to make the necessary repairs❗️
Your skills are totally impressive👍👍
Good work Jmt-I usually go for the pb blaster and let it soak in for awhile, guess I should try the torch next time
Brother earned that paycheck on this job😂😂😂
You’re the goattt ma mannn
This is the first video I ever watched on your channel.
Great job on the pipe work brother! 💪 I’m curious as to how long it took to bleed all of the air out of the system after the repair was made.
Nice work, really a job well done.
Ton of bacteria.. your funny!! Some how I don’t think “Bacteria” is the issue here! Judging by the state of that mechanical room and the piping insulation it’s matter of time till that’s all coming out! Just cut the drywall and remove that wall, why crawl around all that mess when you’ve been there so many times?? The install of the piping and not offsetting the Vic fittings lends me think it was installed someone who doesn’t do it for a living?? She’s a money maker though!!
The guy who went to the trouble of making that drain to the sewer clearly loves his job, and I'm not joking.
Confined spot or what !!! 😢😢😢
Oh yes! It was not a fun job or space to work in. Stay tuned for new videos every week! 🔧⚡️
Glad you got lucky and that nipple stayed in one piece.❤ When i fixed a similar job a few years back the pipe broke off entirely. 😮😳💀💀💀 Made an already tough job even more "fun"😂
you have some amazing luck on your side
Haha definitely a bit of luck on this one. Very much needed. Thanks for watching & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
What a tight space. Nice repair man.
"somebody gotta do it", JMT that dude!
Unfortunately, I'm the somebody in this situation 😂 Thank you very much! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
I always find You very in trusted You Are fary good With You work i and You Are fairy talent TED Wish You all The Best
Glad to know I’m not the only one that pulls the pro press off the work and cycles it if I accidentally touch the button a little bit while positioning the tool! It’s probably nothing but you never know!
You could've used a pro press union just incase there was a leak to tighten up the pipe but it looks good.
Put the pipe wrench into the open end of the pipe, close the wrench jaw down and leverage away. Works every time!
Just stumbled on your channel... Nice work... And in a craftsman-like manner.. Your approach to this problem was spot on. I saw that Milwaukee does make 90° offset jaws for your crimping tool (not sure in that size), but your solution was excellent. The struggle is real in plumbing, right? 😀 Best!
Good job Jumper.
Thank you very much John! It was a tough one 🔧
Nice job JMT! Hope you and your tech are using masks cause that's a pretty bad place to be in and breathe all that dirty/mold
Great job brother 👏
You got it bro it's all about the nipple!
19:25 ck it.🤔
This is fixed after all the suffering!
Finally! Thanks for watching & stay tuned for new videos every week! 🔧⚡️
Excellent job man!! Tough spot!!
You need to invest in a multi angle pipe wrench. I had a couple and they saved me a bunch of times when working on boilers and chillers.
You're a legend bro! Thank you for the video!
Great job brotha. I admire your work.
Thank you very much! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
The horror the horror JMT is the man.
Haha it was a horror film for sure 😂 Thank you Scott! Much appreciated 🙏🔧⚡️
I saw in one of the Charleston hotels HVAC also running water through. It might look like a good idea to supply cold/hot water through the coils on a massive scale. But after 20 years this system become a nightmare. Corroded pipes, not enough space to do any maintenance. Humidity in Charleston also doesn't help overall.
Nice work dude.
Congratulations on that bear!
I’m a union pipefitter in Texas doing hydronic mechanical systems for commercial buildings. Throwing in unions right after the valve has saved me many times in situations like this. After the branch is drained just bust the union loose and replace either the nipple or valve or both (assuming it’s not a solder leak) and connect it back together without having to touch the copper whatsoever
Either way it’s still cool to see this being filmed. My girlfriend doesn’t really have an idea of what it is I do for work so this gave her a great understanding!
Why not put the valve in same direction as the one beside? The new one turns down to open. The old valve turns up to open. Maybe i am OCD. The most important is that it doesnt leak so thats good.
New position is easier to turn. Who cares about matching the other valve? The other valve was probably installed without a dielectric nipple and it will be the next one to go. But next time he will know what to do.
Its very nice the way the unit is installed in a non accessable area. I have been there a thousand times and still dont get why.
Could you have gotten a larger nipple to get a better bite when threading it in? Nice work btw that looks intimidating as hell!
I thought a longer nipple would have made the new install easier too.
Had a heat wave 2 days ago in western Australia and had to fix my air-conditioning split system. Was a bad cap on fan
Internal pipe wrences are awesome for this scenario. Check your local welding supplier if the plumber doesn't carry them. They have impact versions as well that you could hook a right angle hole hawg too or breaker bar with extension.
Lowell makes a pipe wrench head adapter that works with a 1/2 breaker bar or ratchet. Basically a crows foot for pipe wrenches.
Good to know
They also make a close clamp for the press gun it’s a jaw that’s two pinchers that close your press tool, so you put your normal jaw on the fitting itself not on the gun then is when the pincher comes in and closes the jaws…..it’s pretty cool
