No matter how many times I listen to this song it seems like the first time I'm listening to it and I get awed by the emotions and tone of the tune every time. Thank you Bret and God bless.

Brett seems really cool. What he says about leaving gaps is spot-on advice for guitarists at large. Brilliant playing!

Absolutely. There's an aspect to typical virtuosic guitar playing that, to a degree, can be related to what Jeff Goldblum states in Jurassic Park; "…were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should." Brett is one of the best examples of non typical guitar virtuosity that keeps the listener interested while his gaps allow us (and him) a moment to breathe before the next phrase occurs. His improvisational vocabulary has shape and form, and it's unique to him.

@@jasonsidwell Yes, gaps and space are so important. It sounds easy, but so hard to implement. Everything needs space to exist in movement otherwise you have a photograph.

Every 5 to 10 seconds he does something epic. No one has a touch like Garsed.

Brett as to your comment on 'yngwie would be better for this tune', I'd say 'no you played better'. And even before you played that tune I knew you'd play better,. because of your technique. I'm an yngwie fan. He'd mess this tune up playing speed all through this tune. First time I heard you was in planet X's quantum leap. You're a very kind person. And for me you are "THE KING OF ROCK FUSION GUITAR". I mean there are big guys like Allan Holdsworth, Scott Henderson, Jeff Scoffield and you know all the big names but you are different. Thank you for the inspiration.

I love his gain-y tone. He sounds good clean, too, of course. :D But I love to hear that sort of borderline rock/ metal tone. Fun to watch him play the SG. Might be a bit of an Aussie thing. ;)

Beautiful. What you have to say about your playing and music is really interesting as well.
And, speaking as a huge admirer of the late, great Allan Holdsworth, its really great to pick up on those connections and hear them in your music.
As others have mentioned, your style and spirit is very much appreciated. All power to your elbow... dont know if they say that down under, but they do in Bradford ☺

I'm gonna go out on a limb here. Yes Brett, it was "worth listening to". LOL! Too funny man. I love the sound of that SG rolled off like you had it. That tone was insane. Almost as insane as your technique. I'm really enjoying this series. Can you tell?
