The races in LAD Gaiden were BS. Even following your guide, it all still boiled down into RNG. Test runs are useless because you need the manual stability most of the time to even clear the track.
"Fighter is the toughest S-link...I've proven myself a champion many times over but it's never enough." Woolie, Fighter doesn't care if you win or lose, it's about the love of the game for him
Woolie getting the Ultra Godspeed Gears first try was highly upsetting! I think the hunt for those gears was what ultimately made me stop my run of Yak 0.
I gotta know, in real slot car racing, what happens when you are about to lap someone, and are now directly behind them and in the same lane as them, but can't pass because there's no way to do that in slot car racing?
Yeah, that's what's happening in the game, which is easy to do, but I'm less clear on what one would do in that situation in real life, specifically, how the slower car would be removed from play. If the person getting passed is disqualified, as they are here, do you have someone run to the track and try to rip off the car that is still going really fast around the track?
@@WillKeaton Given how much of the minigame is about keeping your slot car from flying off track, I wouldn't be surprised if getting hit from behind would easily send the slot car flying.
Personally i am all for going in blind, but for some of the late races it may be better to pull out a guide. Can be a bit too slow for the LP is what i mean.
@@blackdragoncyrus I'm fully expecting an episode that starts with the car customization menu open, and the episode ends without that menu ever being closed.
I won't even fault him for it this time. The Pocket Racer was good up until you got to the part where you hit the wall where you find out it's not as open-ended as proposed and is *just* guide-mandatory at the last stages.
@@crazyinsane500 yeah, the final 2 tracks are just trial and error, you can't max out speed because then you fly off the track constantly. But you can't go into an accel build, because it's lots of long straight sections, plus you only unlock some parts by chasing the side stories
Whenever I hear people complain about the mini-games in FF7 Rebirth, I think of the Yakuza games and how much worse it could be. I learned early in the franchise to skip 70% of the "content".
Everyone tries with Pocket Circuit. And where does it bring you?
Back to me. ;)
Thank you Chairman, would've never gotten past the last 3 races without you

@@PlamoTherapy And that's if you do not get booted off
@@PlamoTherapy Oh yeah that was brutal
I wonder if Woolie is ever gonna realize the cars are just cosmetic and their difference in stats comes from the parts
It's Woolie. I'm amazed he hasn't tried to extrapolate the differences in the spoiler aerodynamics between the cars.
A shady guy selling illegal Pocket Circuit parts reminds me a lot of Custom Robo Arena.
A Custom Robo rip off mini game in LAD9 plz Sega!
I miss Custom Robo. And Medabots.
@@The_TopscreenOr a Medabots rip-off.

He's losing all his speed on the corners and he doesn't seem to realize that

The lab is open!

That front flip was sick.
Anybody else here on the strength of Yakuza cosplays?

I assume that's why lapping disqualifies people: to prevent cases of faster cars getting blocked by slower ones.
