I was thinking the same thing. This is one of the cleanest examples of this truck anywhere. It’s fairly simple tbh but it’s everything I’d do if I owned the truck. Most are overdone or too boring. This thing is just right to me. And I don’t even have a Chevy. I have a Ram. Tbh I’ve been thinking on trading it in for a Chevy and doing somewhat of the same build.
Camera does a good job in low lighting but I’d love it if reverse lights were brighter on these.. I’ve had them on for years now but haven’t had any issues 🤙🏽

New follower here! Discovered your channel while looking for easy mods for my Silverado...I've got a 2020 RST, 6.2 with Borla S-Type and Pulsar LT. I've also blacked out just about everything. Just installed the Recon tail lights and I absolutely love them!! Keep up the great vids!!
After getting my 22 silverado, I didn’t even thick twice and immediately changed the rims and tires. My rims and tires are literally just sits in my crawl space. For some reason, I feel bad changing my tail lights even though I really like this one lol

I have watched this video three times and I wonder... could you just flip the led bed light around and then have the plug to the right so you could reach the red tab without the allen wrench? I am a Stock OEM Guy, I did add all the Lasfit LED's to my 2019 Silverado. I have never understood people who Black Out / Smoked Lights on vehicles, they reduce Brake and Backup illumination. I do like the Recon Lights here, they Smoke the Lens, but leave the Brake and Back Up illumination. I am not lucky enough to receive these "free", $699.00 - Don't think so.. Great Video, as always. Keep them coming.

His are smoked black, which have clear brake light lenses the smoked red have red brake light lenses. Considering a set of these Recons. I currently have GT Styling smoked covers on the OE LED tails, they look okay for $80.00. The velcro placement is a little suspect, they come already attached to the covers. If I don’t get a set of Recons, new velcro placement is a must. Recons look cleaner but they are damn expensive. 20% off right now though
These look cool as long as you don’t get close and notice the horrible 1/2” gap between the housing and the body. Inexcusable for how much these cost. Recon also has terrible sales and customer support.

I got the recon tail lights for my 22 custom trail boss and it was plug and play the only thing is that the turn signals go into hyper flash when I turn them on. what do I need to do?
I believe Customs have halogens from the factory. You would need to choose the right option from recon. At this point you may have to add a resistor to keep it from hyper flashing

IMHO, the stance on your Trail Boss is the best on UA-cam. Chevy needs to cut a deal with the manufacturer and offer those wheels stock.

@@Jay-hp6pu Massive GM guy here, do it. But immediately disable the AFM with a tuner. Then you are good to go no worries.

Now all you need is a custom black liscense plate. That would look so slick on the truck.

What did you do for the rapid flash after install? Recon says they have no solution .

Still holding up great! Love the look and no issues yet. Only wish is the reverse LED were a little bit brighter.

Nope, but if you have stock halogen and order the LED Recons they will. Just have to make sure you order the right part number for your truck
