Much as I love the Metroid games, I've never been much a fan of games that don't tell you where you're supposed to go next, regardless of how much freedom it gives you in approaching that goal.

This is the very first Metroid game I ever played. I used to sneak into my older brothers room and play it as far as I could without saving so he wouldn't find out.
When I played this game when I was younger I had so much fear and anxiety about X-Samus finding me in this game. It was this and Prime that made me love Samus and the Metroid series.
Super neat feature was the x parasites - when not collected - transforming in different enemies. Gave the game not the feeling of "It's like health/etc. pick ups but now in a different kind of paint!" and added more flair overall
Samus' suit constructs the weapons from components that are stored in energy form. The whole suit can be stored in energy form, or at least it could until it merged with the rest of her.
Hell yea I love metroid I'm not the biggest fan but I love the games and the atmosphere of them and its funny but that's why I keep my wii u is virtual console
To answer the missile question, Samus' suit and arm cannon are Chozo technology that stores energy, and that energy can be converted at will to missiles and Morph Bombs.
Jared+Metroid is a good time I used to play this late at night under the covers with a flashlight, with headphones on so my mom wouldn't know I was awake
Along with the fact that the X parasites took the powers from the suit, if you notice the bigger parasites you get abilities from, they also try to use the ability that they hold. Morph ball from the rolly dude, and the Charge Beam parasite was trying to shoot!
Just letting you know I'm into this! ... also, I remember this being short, and of course a bit more linear than other entries, but it makes up for it with the spoopy atmosphere, the ever-present search for secret power-ups, absolutely insanely good sound design and general aesthetics, and actually really tight and interesting battles and controls. It's a very solid entry into the series, and it's got a lot of personality. Looking forward to the rest!
I believe the idea with Samus' missiles is her bio-mechanical arm cannon assembles them on the fly. The missile pickups represent the chemical building blocks needed to do so, and the energy pickups are similar. That's why killing things refuels her. And the X consumption ability she gets from the Metroid DNA insider her allows her to more efficiently consume biological material from the X to refill those different reservoirs of chemicals.

Wow, seeing new playthroughs of Metroid games is a... wonderfully new feeling
Metroid fusion is honestly my favorite Metroid game. This game is great
When I played this game when I was younger I had so much fear and anxiety about X-Samus finding me in this game. It was this and Prime that made me love Samus and the Metroid series.
I'll watch projared play anything except 2 things. 1. With himself and 2. Fuckin cards.
to each their own I guess. me personally I'd pay big money to see number 1 while fucking cards
My favorite aspect of this game is the bosses use the ability you get from them against you.
Certainly wasn’t expecting this, but it’s a welcome surprise. Fusion is one of my old favorites
Can't wait to follow along. Used to have this game but borrowed a friends Golden Sun, then he moved. Darn it Moontaka!!
Super neat feature was the x parasites - when not collected - transforming in different enemies. Gave the game not the feeling of "It's like health/etc. pick ups but now in a different kind of paint!" and added more flair overall
One of the first ever Metroid games I've played and beat given to me by my best friend as a child
This is one of my favorite GBA games! One of the games of my childhood that I played all the time.
I hope lots of new people see this and get in love with Metroid, it's just such a masterpiece.
The athmosphere in this game is just incredible.
Jared playing my personal favorite Metroid, Hell yeah sign me up!
This was the game that got me into Metroid, and even horror games, I'd say.
I'm a big fan of Metroid Games and Metroidvanias but Metroid Fusion flew over my head back in the day.
To answer the missile question, Samus' suit and arm cannon are Chozo technology that stores energy, and that energy can be converted at will to missiles and Morph Bombs.
So excited to see this game getting a series playthrough, it's my FAVORITE!!! of the franchise.
I LOVE this game, played it back during HS freshman year in class. I’m sure this playthrough gonna be entertaining as always.
Jared+Metroid is a good time
I used to play this late at night under the covers with a flashlight, with headphones on so my mom wouldn't know I was awake
I first got this game when I was in second grade. I remember not being able to sleep one night because of how scared of the SA-X I was at the time lol
This is really fun to watch, the last time I played this was like 15 years ago so i'm looking forward to rediscovering it again with this series
Playing through my favorite Metroid game~
