    Great video. Hearing about how you recovered from a mistake is priceless info. That has to be the scariest part of the job but being totally honest with them and how you turned it around, was fantastic.

    Can you please make a quick video on how you handled the pandemic crash, what went through your head during the time, how your clients reacted, and how you talked to your clients and explain to them what’s going on and what your plan was moving forward

      Hey Brandon! I really like this idea and its super important. I'll add it to the list.

    Yup. That’s the truth. It’s hard to keep some of those barriers up when clients are friends. I’ve walked up to that line a few times and had to zip it and interrupt myself. Without trust you’ve got nothing.
    I had to serve myself some crow pie with a couple fat fingered trades. Those are the worst. Very human.
    Thanks for the vid.

    Being a FA sounds so much scarier than a realtor lmao wow

    • @JoshOlfertCFP
      @JoshOlfertCFP  3 роки тому

      Lol! I imagine both could be scary. I've definitely noticed people/clients get super anxious in the homebuying process, so realtor could be up there.

      @@JoshOlfertCFP Oh yeah working with buyers can be a pain in the ass sometimes for sure. I know someone who got sued 2 years after a sale by a buyer claiming they "didn't disclose a defect that they 100% knew about" without any proof. I think I'd still take that over having to talk someone into doubling down after a crash to recoup losses though 😂

    Thoughts on starting a debt solutions company where we work with people to get out of debt (dave ramsey type service) with budgeting and attacking debts etc. BUT without being a CFP

      It's possible to do so! Just not my specialty. Doesn't excite me as much.
