you probably dont care but if you are stoned like me atm you can stream pretty much all of the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my brother lately :)
Pretty sure I saw you fishing at the rocks today West of the bridge. There was some other kayaker that I saw with you on a red kayak. I could not find any places to launch my 10' pontoon boat off the road. There are no roads to the lake to launch and the terrain is too steep. The nearest boat launch wont work for me in a pontoon since that would be an impossibly long row. The far north end parking lot could work if I had roller wheels to go down the path. Saw bass hitting stuff off top water down in brushy areas there today.
Man Greg another great video an I wanted to say I enjoy every video even the toughest of days. Always wish your videos were longer. Keep up the amazing work
Thanks Todd! Ya know what I'm gonna try to make my videos longer. I come home with minimum 8 hours of fishing content and could always make videos maybe more around the 15-20 min mark than my usually 10-12 mark. THanks for watching!
Sweet day of fishing Greg!! Thanks again for making videos for us. I’ll look back on other videos unless you want to say what rod are you using again? It’s your Magic stick.
Sorry if you've answered this before. Have you tried Polarizing Filter for your GoPros? You are seeing things that the camera isn't able to pick up on.
Nice! Were you fishing a traditional Ned rig with an exposed hook? Everyone recommends flipping with heavy tackle into bushes. How did you not keep breaking off in those bushes?
I still can't get out and fish so I'll just sit back and watch you catch 'em! I am thinking about hitting the Saranac region this summer when NY opens back up. Cool video.
Thanks for tuning in Tom! Oh man, you definitely should. I've got some videos from that area from a few years ago but beautiful area and great fishing.
@@GregBlanchardFishing Thank you Greg, I've watched most of your videos and those of NY. The wife and I go to the ADK every year, but usually in the Old Forge area. I mostly fish rivers (Susq) but plan on purchasing a peddle drive this year for fishing lakes.
I miss bed fishing! 😭 Last time I did that I landed a 7-8 lber. Plus a few 3-4lbers. It was highly pressured the week I fished. I hit the water 3 days then one day at the bay and homeward bound.
Josh Hamilton in my marina I saw maybe an 8 and the male 4 bedder. I fished that with everything I could think of. Finally, got the male 3 times on a chatterbait. It took it three times., once 20 feet. I’d go to set the hook and out it came. Frustrating. I played and played. To be honest, bed sight fishing is a drag. I like hungry bass.
I'm going to try Camp Far West lake this morning, two weeks ago they said day use only, no camping so i'm going for it. heading out there after watching this video!😀🤞
I can just imagine the number of fish that would have been caught on the kbf tournament this past weekend had it been held there on Berryessa! Sure hate that we can't go Tournament Fishing but at least we can do some fishing. Nice video!
Nice job Greg. What were the water temps you had? Still only in mid to upper 50s here in DE. They are definitely moving up and I’ve seen some beds but haven’t had consistent warms temps to get them actually on the beds.
Dude can you do a 30 min non stop session for us, or longer please as i and others can’t fish so it will be nice to pass the time watching you just fish? Thanks for the great content!
I like that man! I gotta bring that back. Might have to create a poll on the channel. i've been intrigued on how many folks would prefer maybe a 1 hour over the 30 min clip. 30 min can be tough sometimes to get that fish catch or entertainment value lol
Another great vid Greg, love the content. I haven’t tried the big TRD yet but I like the smaller one and I also like the 5” Senko a lot so maybe a best of both worlds? I’ll have to give it a shot. Only problem is my dad broke my favorite spinning rod last week! Managed to get the aftermath on my last video
Dude that looked like a fun time fishing!!!! Great video man. Hey do you ever do videos that go in depth about the gear you use? Like those grey pants you always wear year round, what are they? Also on your spinning set up what line is that and do you use a leader with it? Man Ive loved your channel for quite a while now, thank you for keeping it real! The good the bad and the ugly! Keep it up Greg!
Thanks Robert! It was! I rarely do it but when I figure out exactly how to get bit it's always fun and this was definitely the deal today. I try to link all the applicable gear in the description of each of my videos but if I missed something feel free to message me. Tight lines!
Local Bay Area guy here. I have a Big Fish 108 on the way with gear to rig. Always been a boat guy but getting into yak fishing. I notice you always wear waders. Doesn’t it get hella hot in the mid day of spring? Just wondering if you ever hit the delta without your waders? Going Simms or Huk if needed for spring and summer fishing.
Thanks Victor! This was actually shot the day before it closed to the public. As far as I know it’s not open. Bummer but when they reopen the bite should be hot
I had dropping a bait on a fishes head on a bed work one time last year. Kayak drifted over a log where there was a bed. I had a swim jig in my hand, dropped it right in the water and he munched it.
Just fishing from a 'Yak seems to be "enough", but making a Video of it...? You're the BEST...! (Seems like some "Boat People" can't grasp how difficult it is, just to position and fish from a 'Yak - much less, if there's a breeze!) Stay Safe, enjoy the Fishing, and KEEP those Videos coming - Ya HEAR...? (You are certainly and inspiration to us, for sure!).
Hey Greg, thanks for always making enjoyable content. Question for ya. How do you manage braid on your spinning gear? I’m getting a lot of wind knots lately when trying to cast farther. I’ve been watching everything I can on UA-cam about it but I’m still experiencing the knots. Thanks!
Thanks Ethan! Hmm, make sure your spool isnt "overspooled" with braid. maybe the braid is your using is too heavy as well. I use 15# braid on spinning setups
Greg Blanchard I’m leaning towards the same conclusion. After being unable to get a knot out, I cut and re-tied. I’ve gotten fewer wind knots but they’re still happening enough to make me not want to cast too far. Might be time to take a little more off. I’m using 15# Sufix.
This was a unique day and it had to sit longer than normal for me. I'd say 10-15 seconds on this day before I'd get a bite. haha, I will get peed on everytime if that's how it works
