Bought Volvo XC60 Recharge. Top model. And I must say its the best car Ive ever owned. Superb drive and the performance is off the charts. And great fuel economy. Drove 2,500 klm before I went to the petrol station for the first time! Brilliant car.

Compare to the 450h+ The driving modes can be put on the HUD so no need to go into the interface. The interface is angled to the driver so easier to operate. Lexus is cheaper but smarter and more reliable. Personally the front end and whole car look better . Lexus all day.

Yes, Lexus has better quality. However, Volvo is much safer and has the most comfortable seat. The seats are even better than my uncles Rolls Royce, which costs 3x more.
Back in 2022, I pre-ordered a 2023 Lexus RX350 with a $1000 down. They had none yet in stock so I waited a good while till they had a bunch of demos in. Took one out for a drive and HATED it. Uncomfortable seats, very and surprisingly noisy, lousy color choices, all with the best looking rear end mixed with the ugliest front end ever. Cancelled my order, got my $1000 back and headed for the Volvo dealer (after testing many other brands). LOVED the Volvo Recharge and ordered one in the Ultimate trim. It's been over 8 months of waiting for it but it is supposed to be here in a couple of weeks so time will tell but Volvo is it for me so far.
the RX500H ride quality is incredible! both in comfort and sport! it's comfortable but not too floaty! going FAST feels incredible!! as a LEXUS RX! you know it's going to last for YEARS! with no issues!!! and the 500h is in the right direction!!!
Also on Volvo XC60 you can set driving mode. You have AWD, Pure, Hybrid, Power and Off-Road. For each mode you have different power train and steering response, or you can set individual modes where you can set your own steering, power train or suspension. You can set each key with diff setings. I have my key woth my settings and my wife with her's. Driver seat, side mirrors, driving mode are stored for each of us. Too bad that after 2020 they limited this car max speed at 180km/h.
Yes, I just programmed the mode, i.e., normal, eco, sport, change on the steering wheel today. It is good that I do not need to change the mode using the touch screen.
Actually cancelled my V60 PE order (also considered a xc60 T8) for the Lexus RX500h. The tech and fascia was dated in the Volvo, but it did drive really great. Plus the space was much better for a family in the Lexus.
First time watching any of your videos and unfortunately it will be the last. You should have compared xc60 recharge with 450h+. And I can't stand you getting annoyed at the smallest of things with Lexus. All your annoyances with Lexus just seemed petty and nit picky. My over $70k 2023 Volvo car has a steering wheel vibration very bad when driving 65 mph, making it quite annoying and UNSAFE to drive, especially at high speeds, contacting Volvo case was opened over 2 months still no solution or update.
thats a recall issue with steering column. they have had a lot of issues since china started making them. im so upset because the xc60 is my dream suv i will wait patiently for things to change for the better. no rush. i hope you resolved your steering issue.....or traded it in.

I know this is subjective but I rented a volvo for a week about a year ago and the touchscreen/user interface was in my opinion one of the worst I ever tried.

NO SUPERCHARGER in the Volvo it was removed when the battery and electric motor were upgraded. Reliability will be better w/ the simpler engine that is turbocharged.

Seemed like a lack of knowledge on the engine with the Volvo being only turbocharged. They dropped the supercharger a year ago. Also, as I watched it felt like you liked everything about the Volvo and then picked the Lexus. Full disclosure, I have an xc60 T8 with 455hp, and I average about 60 mpg with nightly charging and wouldn't go back. It's hands down faster and smoother than the Lexus, almost the same cost, and God does it look better! Thanks for making a video though! And next time make sure you are in power mode for a few minutes before timing. It has a warm up period. Also, I've never tried it, but I heard there is a la lunch control in the Volvo by putting in 'D' mode and holding brake and gas. Supposedly it will hold rpms to about 3k. Maybe I'll try it one day!

In that case I conssider myself lucky to have an XC60 T8 build in January 2019, as I have both TC and SC. Launch is awesome. I drove it in offroad also, snow, mud and sand and the Off-Road mode with adaptive suspension are great, never dissapointed me. In OFf-Road mode the geartronic gearbox act like a reduction box, modifying the gear ratio to give max torque on wheels.

With "pedal to the metal" the car "launch" from stand still to 100km/h in 5 sec. Plus, on hwy when I drove it at 160km/h and I put the gas pedal down, you can feel "the launch". So no, isn't "a launch control" you can select or set up.

Volvo has always been known for its safety. In fact, they invented seat belt and never accepted royalty for their patent. In crash test, they fare much better than any Lexus or Japanese car. For me, safety is #1 compared to reliability. I can afford to buy 50 or more cars but I can't afford to lose a limb or life.
With or without hybrid battery, thevXC60 T8 build BEFORE 2020 goes to 240km/h without any problem. 4x4 is active even if the hybrid batt are empty. I wasn't a Volvo fan until I met this model.

If I am not wrong, the combustion engine in the T8 is not supercharged anymore, only turbocharged, it is not necessary due to the electric engine
I have a XC60 T8 build January 2019 and is superchard and turbocharged. No lag at all.
There is an aprox 40kw electric engine and supercharger is removed. They changed it in 455hp model

Volvo told mine 2024 is just Turbo now because with the new eletric engine being much more powerfull thatn before they took off the supercharged.

My choice was easy, needed safest car with the most comfortable seat and great handling. Volvo was much better after I test drove Lexus and Volvo.
Also on Volvo XC60 you can have air vent and temp controller on the rear if you opt for. I don't think that on Lexus came as standard.
we have 2023 rx350 it's standard even on the base trim.
My XC60 has the four zone climate. Controlled from the back seats or by the front center controls.
