I didn't consider listening to this music 'til I started reading The Little House on The Prairie again. This song and many others of it's time get a mention in Laura Ingals-Wilder's work. It's still amazing to me now that I can just dial up those songs now on UA-cam or Spotify. Back in pre-internet times those song names were just words on a page but now hearing the music connects me with the life of little Laura in a way I never could back as a child.
Aint we been missing out.... Brill music Abby is a diamond ...Also check out Martha WOW what a voice ..Cute too.. Go girls ua-cam.com/video/uOgZOv9e6vQ/v-deo.html
My dad used to sing this song to me!!! But all I remember was Ol man Tucker was a good ol man washed his face in a frying pan, combed his hair with a wagon wheel and died with a toothache in his heel. No one I've ever asked had ever heard of this and pretty much treated me like I was crazy! Thanks for the memories!
That was so much fun! First time heard that song was when Victor French (Mr. Edwards) sang it on Little House on the Prairie. The Tater Boys and You Abby did a Great Job!
My grandmother (from Alabama) used to sit me on her lap and sing this to me when I was a baby/toddler. Old Dan Tucker was the first song I even learned.
From Russia with love, как бы я хотел бы увидеть это вживую)my 2 year old daughter adores you, she goes into a trance when she hears this music ,sorry for my English, )
You are continuing the tradition and should be proud. God speed and this moonshine tastes twice as bright because of you. Also, spoons player you are awesome. Thanks for your artistry
Here's to my grade school teacher, Lorne Cooke who has since moved on to the great beyond, and who taught us soooo many folk songs including Old Dan Tucker. I've never forgotten it and it's over 50 years ago!❤
My dad & his 15 brothers & sisters (all full-blooded too) made sure the love of this music, ran through my veins. YOU give such honor, tribute, & flawlessly carry on a tradition for future gens to experience their roots.

Fajna jest ta piosenka. Lubię Domek na Prerii, a tam jeden z bohaterów często to śpiewa. Tak mi wpadła w ucho, że często sama ją nucę. Bardzo ładne wykonanie piosenki. Brawo. I dzięki za napisy.👍
@@kristy7174 Carson is nice. I lived there when I was a kid. I'm sure you've been to Virginia city. Can't help but picture Abby performing up there and making a killing.
I saw your video on FB @ "No Teeth" & being from Kansas. I LOVE it! I haven't had teeth since I was in my 40's & that's just OK. I'd rather be barefoot than shoed any time @ all. My Daddy used to sing this to us when we were little. Sometimes he'd dance with us & "twirl" us. Great memories. Thx Spoon Lady!
