Our VRF Grab Bags (GB) videos are compiled from content from our cameras as Mods and fans spot something neat while watching our cameras. In the GB you will, of course, find a variety of TRAIN content, special trains, maintenance, steam, diesels, interesting rail cars, cool paint schemes and more. You will also find fun people, city events, boats, planes, cars (sometimes going wild) and nature. Thank you for taking the time to sit back and enjoy these highlight reels that we call "Grab Bags"! - Розваги
So….after watching the eclipse today, here’s a great way to end the evening…watching trains!!
So it seems the eclipse will probably be either next Grab Bag or its own compilation. Either way would be fantastic.
@Cpr1234 ... I'm pretty sure that Princeton, Indiana had good weather for it, in Albion, Illinois they had the Longest time in Totality being dead centered in the Path...
Regardless, I'm with you... It was weird even if you didn't look directly at the Eclipse in the Path of Totality just to see the 360° of Red Twilight in the middle of the day!
Tucson @04:00 I had to smile at the Cat, "decisions, decisions, shall I do a 'Darwin' here - that camera's bound to be watching me".
Chehalis @11:30, I like the way Grainger trains always seem to call-up the Fallen-flag Hoppers for another turn of duty.
Nice to see Tourists at the Horseshoe Curve treated to such a good display of classic EMDs.
Wichita @09:40 - 2 No. Executive SD70MACs, spot-on, thanks VRF.
Very good videos I enjoy all of them even the cat sitting by the track
Hope everyone had fun watching the eclipse
I definitely did
was amazing
Outstanding.
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains, especially the adorable cat in Tucson, Arizona, Heritage Units, and so much more, I like them, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much.
these camera operators are spot on!! thanks for your time to enhance our enjoyment!!
Hi, I like trains
3:47 Tucson Tabby thinks: "Nope, not gonna be a Darwin nominee today."
@Yormsane ... did you notice that it wasn't behind the Yellow Line?
Kitty cut it close...
Manifest at Horseshoe Curve had nice old power, nice CP GE, lots of old road names, CP GE with wipers on, great video!🛤🚂
Those Eclipse was awesome today
Loved the fireworks display in Georgia! I also liked the Canadien Pacifique, Quebec Gatineau and Spirit of Law Enforcement engines--and of course the rabbit and that sweet cat sitting down to think things over. I hope there will be some eclipse footage in the next one--this one was another terrific job!
Good evening everyone
Chessie is still my favorite. 😻
A few kilometres away from my house, there’s a Q&G railway and I can hear the horn of these train everyday
I was watching the Waycross cams when that Georgia Central B40-8 left the yard. That was pretty cool, especially given how rare that model has become. Also, those OCS cars leaving Waycross on a manifest were actually on the tail end of the same train as the B40-8. That consist had everything!
Nice catches all around, especially the cat.
Great eclipse today. We live in west central Ohio, about 15 miles from the center line of totality. It was amazing.
The ferromex equipment 😍😍😍😍😍😍
hello Virtual Railfan & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Virtual Railfan & Friends Randy
i was the one who caught the macs
Love these grab bags
CSX just announced a Western Maryland Heritage Unit, so be on the lookout for it soon
0:08 CSX 1973
0:32 H1 and warbonnet doubleheader, and another warbonnet as DPU
1:02 9-unit lash-up over Horseshoe Curve! Mostly older EMD power, one of them a high hood
2:03 CSX 1972 as DPU. I believe this is the first time we've seen the Family Lines heritage unit (again at 2:28)
2:14 CSX 3194 leading
3:20 CP 8876 leading. This loco used to have Vancouver Olympics logos on it
4:15 Quebec & Gatineau loco trailing behind BNSF units
4:28 doubleheading H2 dash 9s
5:48 US Army Corps Of Engineers crane barge with pieces for a new bridge
5:40 NS high hood SD40-2
7:05 Georgia Central dash 8
7:50 five CSX business cars on the rear of a freight train
8:34 NS 8098 leading. This is my favorite NS heritage unit so I mention it even when I don't mention the other NS heritage units that appear in grab bags
9:32 large tarpaulined engines. Probably for boats.
9:42 6-unit lash-up with two executive MACs
10:10 NS 8101 as mid-train DPU on a BNSF train, along with 40-foot side door containers that I've never seen before
10:26 some side door containers in old Sea Land well cars with large supports
10:55 MRL 4303 trailing
11:11 Rock Island hopper
12:24 Rock Island boxcar
12:37 passenger almost missed their stop! I also noticed the Northeast Reigonal cafe is sandwiched between Venture cars
13:24 Amtrak 174 and 161 "arrow" on the California Zephyr, passing the Westbound Califronia Zephyr waiting to ascend into the Rockies
14:10 fireworks in Waycross
13:27 those new Amtrak paint schemes make the old Genesis models look spiffy! Thought they were Chargers for a second!
*Awesome Catches*
Well a cat 🐈 for a Railfanner how cool is that
Wayx Swamp Fest went big for the fireworks!
Seems late in the evening for a fireworks show.
The Chessi Systems locomotove DID NOT get Highlighted in the 1st clip. Rare.
At 12:39, surprised that the train did not back up to the station.
Obviously the cat was a descendant of Chessie the railroad kitten. Even though the cat was not near CSX property was looking for either the Chessie heritage engine or old freight car that still had Chessie on the side. Cats can be rail fans too.
I saw a cp multimark grain hopper today
QGRY is my town's shortline, i am glad it got caught in virtual railfan, but i think its a bit far from quebec
The cat was wiser then some people. a side loading container.
The tabby cat who literally sat down to watch the train, is a railfan.......
Or that wind was Howling at fort madison
Hi
12:48 northeast regional cafe cad on Midwest train
Just another Saturday night in Waycross??
Hello Virtual Railfan and VRF community! Can someone please help me identify the two objects being hauled at 9:23! They are always highlighted in the grab bag videos when noticed. Also, the two yellow objects covered in blue tarp that follow at 9:35 mark! Thank you!
😄😄👍👍👍
What were the fireworks for?
It's a sad comment on the US that a freight car gets a mention because it has not been defaced with graphiti. It's not exclusively a US problem but it seems to be more common.
In some ways it's worse in Europe where defacing passenger cars is almost normal.
It's more common because we have A LOT more railroad equipment.
@@John-cg8hb You have a lot more PASSENGER equipment than we do. So, it is understandable, and it's easier for our passenger rail operations to protect their equipment since there is less of it. I'm primarily a passenger fan, so defacing it really POs me, especially well-kept historic private equipment.
Wonder what they were celebrating at the end ?
Waycross annual Swamp (Okeefenokee) Festival.
11:00 Why is Montana trains in Missouri???
BNSF took over Montana Rail Link earlier this year.
What were the fireworks for
I would also like to know
Waycross Swampfest 2024.
@@J3scribe thx
