I wasn't sure whether my 96 E150 had keyless entry or not. I called Tony and he walked me thru the steps to identify whether or not I had it. He was very attentive and stayed with me on the phone while I pulled the door switches out and then sent him a picture. It turned out that my van wasn't factory equipped with keyless entry. Thank You Tony for your help. I ordered a system from him I'll update again after I install it. UPDATE 09/08/24 Installed the Keyless entry from Tony Today It went flawlessly. Had to figure out what wire to hook the dome ight circuit to and the horn wire was a different color but other than that the hardest part was running the wires over to the other side of the dash. Everything works like it should Horn Honks Park lights come on and dome light activates when unlocking the door. The Panic function also works. Very Happy with My purchase
Just wanted to follow up. I bought the kit from Tony a while back...he cares enough about his reputation that he wouldn't even take my money until we chatted on the phone for a few to make sure I was positive I didn't have factory keyless entry. At first I thought this was a mild annoyance, but after thinking about it...I believe it speaks to Tony's level of attention to detail; not everyone is a mechanic, he doesn't know my skill level...it's probably best to assume everyone is a novice in this arena. That, and the fact that this system works flawlessly and took all of 10 minutes to install, is the reason I would strongly recommend Tony and his products to anyone needing this kind of thing. Tony strikes me as an old school, respect and a handshake kind of guy....thats a business I want to support.
I was thinking about doing something like this with my van. Would this work with a 96 e150? I know the trim and power buttons are a bit different looking on the older models, but is the wiring the same? I haven’t tore into anything yet to check the wire colors.
Nice kit, easy installation, and it works great. It took about 15 minutes start to finish. My only question is, this kit has a wire labeled dome light on the right side, where does it land?
It's there if you want to extend it to a dome light wire. "If you can find one." They only exist on the older one's. It has to be a positive wire. Usually black/blue.
Thanks for the helpful video. I copied your wiring harness using conenctors from a junkyard. The Avital unit installed easily and I opted not to connect the horn or lights. The only "option" I used was wiring a separate ignition and +12V connection. The ignition signal disallows the lock button when the engine is running. Not sure what safety issue this provides.
Hello, I have a 2008 E450 motorhome that I would like to add keyless entry to. Based on the video, it sounds like you make up these kits. How would I go about purchasing one from you?

@@tonyscarcare5657 Absolutely man. I don't normally do "reviews" , but I felt compelled considering how above and beyond you go.
do you have the part numbers for the grey connector and socket? i’m trying to locate a pair and am trying to not have to go to the boneyard.

Very interesting modification. Another great video. Thanks Tony
Thank you. I've sold them several years for the older Ford trucks and they sell very well. Soon to be offered for the Fox body Mustang as well.
How much would the kit be for a 2016 E350?
I'm sorry, they are not available for any of these vans after 2008.
any chance you make these for 2009 models?
I believe 2009 is the cutoff. Sorry, buddy.
