Those ultra quiet resonators from Vibrant are the best. Used them on my Evo and almost 0 drone. Used them on my SRT8 jeep too. 4 of those was nice and crispy and 0 drone.
@@zackellis23 hell yeah. Did a muffler delete on my GFs Tahoe with the stock resonator and they give such a good bass sound and no rasp on the V8s too. The turbo cars they help with drone so good and don't really affect power at all.
I have the 3 inch version on my exhaust. It makes a difference over a long distance for sure. I added a cat at the same time as well. I went from a maxxfab side exit with no cat to a 3inch dna exhaust, to adding in a magnaflow cat and 3 inch vibrant resonator. It sounds really good but still at highway speed the drone is to much for me. Next step is adding in a 3 in to 2.5 inch dual outlet magnaflow muffler.
If you're still wanting to lower the drone, believe it or not, a J pipe works. I have a 3 inch turbo back to an about 17 inch long fart can on my Honda and like most turbo Civics, they sound great other than the droning and loudness, but the J pipe made a world of difference. I have my muffler at the end so it may be different, but I drilled a 2.75 inch hole before it at about the 45° or between ⊾ if looking from the rear and made the length of the pipe the same as the muffler, about 17 inches and then capped it off. It was miserable around 2800 up to 3500 and of course that's highway speed which I used to drive for hours at a time on and I'd even start falling asleep from it. But now it is actually quiet and you can hear someone talk with no problem in the car. What's better is it took some of the buzzing sound out too. The length and location might need adjusted, but surprisingly it works.
@zackellis23 yeah I will have a look into it I mean I do have a small silencer fitted but it may as well as be an empty tin can because it does nothing lol 😂
@@Dimondgamer123 hahaha right! I love a loud car BUT I also don't want the attention all the time. Hopefully you find what you need. Worst case scenario I can ship you one!
Question,I have a cadillac ats 2.0 turbo with a corsa catback exhaust.its a 4 banger and the exhaust sounds good little raspy but no drone!but a bit loud specially when first accelerating.do you think the vibrant will do any good perhaps give it a more of a throaty feedback?
@zackellis23 I have a resonator as we speak, ideally I was gonna replace it with the vibrant ultra quiet but just not sure.i paid 1600 for the catback and irritates me
Those Ultra Quiets must only really work for 4-bangers and V6's. I tried them on my Crown Vic and it killed all the tonality and made it super drone-y instead. Glad it worked out for you though, sounds fresh.
I watched a few V8 videos and it seems like people have had positive views but I feel like it's a perspective thing. people tell me (on YT) my car sounds like a tractor lol but I really don't know.
Honestly, brother, it sounds like the previous one, which also sounds like a tractor 😮💨 and I don't understand why you use such a big pipe. You don't need to do it like that.
Well I bought the exhaust second hand not realizing it was 3.5" lol im committed now. The car sounds exactly like it would sound straight piped minus the rasp.
@@zackellis23 I was expecting the resonator will make huge difference..because am planning to order vibrant ultra quiet resonator... But now I have to do some more research on it....
@@Ehs-fn1zr it does make a pig difference. Unfortunately, I was running a off brand resonator before I put the vibrant one one so the difference isn’t ass noticeable.

You have solid video tunes Zack. Always a chill vibe watching no doubt. Great video man! The finished exhaust sounds fantastic dude, straight up.

I agree completely! It's a quality item for sure. Ill use it again on the next vehicle I build.

So this weekend was my first real trip (about 200 miles) and it was little droney but not horrible! im mostly concerned with the actual volume though
Yeah I need to add a resonator, sounds good man.
Thanks! The vibrant one is a quality unit for sure

I’ve actually read into this a lot but just haven’t taken the time to try it. Maybe I will one day. I appreciate the info!
I have the same muffler on my focus st with catless dp and full 3 inch exhaust. Pretty much got rid of the rasp, sounds tame till I get on it

you should be able to polish the rust off as long as its only surface rust.
