    Been using edge tx and ELRs on my drones for years. So excited to get it for my 1/28th cars.

    I knew it was only a matter of time before a surface radio with multi protocol would be released, and this radio not only has that, but way more features, and it also looks pretty sweet! This definitely seems like solid step on the path to the perfect radio!
    Nice review too. 👍
    Just one little thing though, the pronunciation of "menu" .
    You said "men oo" (or men eww), it is supposed to be pronounced "men you".

    sorry if its sound dumb, but i really beginner in this field
    so the elrs version cant connect to another receiver like 4 in 1 version?
    am i right? or maybe elrs version can connect to another receiver but not as much as 4 in 1 version?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  Місяць тому

      They can't "directly" connect to the protocols of other version. However there are modules that you can install on the transmitter. Look at 8:26 .
      If you get the ELRS version and want to use other receivers from Flysky, Radiolink, etc. You can install a multiprotocol module on the top.
      Vise versa, if you get the 4-in-1 and want to use ELRS receiver, you can install a ELRS module on it.
      Basically choose the version according to what you use the most. If you have a lot of old receivers and cars with all-in-one (eg. WLtoys, Mini-Z) just go with the 4-in-1. Then add a module if you need extra protocol(s) later.

    Great video. Thank you Beaver, From what I read, I probably made a mistake buying the 4in1 version because of the latency... I use to have Radiolink transmitter and I will probably use those receivers with the radiomaster transmitter. I wish I will not get too much latency, otherwise I gues sI will have to switch back to the radiolink transmitter. Did you have a chance to test the latency with some typical radiolink receiver, like the - and the 7 channel receiver? Thank you for your answer and for all you great videos

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks. I'll find a chance to test the Radiolink with telemetry in serial mode. As far as I notice, it's the same latency as a native Radiolink transmitter but I'll need to test it just to be sure. Still, this one offers way more customization than RC8X.

      if you want to go elrs, you can always add a module... the one from jumper brand is cheap.

    What the protocol used in the 4 in 1 to connect a Ko Propo ASF receiver?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  6 місяців тому +1

      Unfortunately, the 4-in-1 does not contain ASF. As I mentioned at 9:06 you will need the old ASF module and hook it up then choose the PWM mode to operate the ASF receiver.

    Hi, just wanna ask what would you recommend for a crawler like me for MT12 would it be the ELRS or 4-in-1, i would like to re-use my spektrum dsm2 receivers if possible?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  6 місяців тому +1

      DSM2 surface is still not available on 4-in-1, only DSMR at the moment. So I think ELRS would be better because it'll give you more performance and range.

    trying to find a stabilization gyro for speedrunning compatible with elrs mt 12

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  5 місяців тому

      Anything that can't be programmed via S.BUS is OK. Power HD also makes really good gyros. The Power HD G1 has very good noise and vibration filtering that I don't see the wheel shake on RWD drift so it should be good for keeping the car in straight line too.

    This transmitter will work with 2 in 1 esc receiver in WLtoys k9x9 series? Can you make a video of the transmitter binding with that car and other similar style 2in1’s?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  7 місяців тому +1

      Yes, it works with WLtoys K9x9 and 284xxx. The 4-in-1 multiprotocol will work directly, the ELRS will need a multiprotocol module. I'll make a video or 2 because there's one for the old K9x9 and one for the new 284x series.

    Hi, is the Surpass Hobby ESC, mini rocket 18A correct and reliable? Is there a better equivalent price? Thank you in advance for your help.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  7 місяців тому +1

      No, please don't! Rocket 18A (sensorless version) is one of the worst you can get. There's DasMikro V3 and PN Racing that are around the same price and way better than Rocket 18A.

    Hi what the best elrs controller now?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  6 місяців тому +1

      For pistol grip transmitter RadioMaster MT12 is the only choice. If you are OK with stick radio then RadioMaster TX16S, in my opinion, is the best because of the big touch screen.

    • @PoloHungary
      @PoloHungary 6 місяців тому

      @@BeaversHobby Radiolink RC6GS has port for elrs module or RC8X also better port for elrs module the radiomaster built in elrs module is a joke 600-700m and you need to buy a better module for longer range so the price is radiomaster is high not worth it overall

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  6 місяців тому

      @@PoloHungary When you run it on PPM it's the same port on both RC6GS and 8X so there's no difference in the connection. If you need more advanced adjustment the 8X is obviously better. You run elrs for range, I assume?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  6 місяців тому

      @@PoloHungary To be honest I'm not so sure RC6GS would work with ELRS module because it only output PPM from the trainer jack. If the module can work off PPM alone then it'll work. If it needs full crossfire system then I'm afraid it won't work.
