      Hope you are doing better. I have question regarding Dual rate setting shown in the video. Is it done specifically for your application?
      the part that confused me is the part where you set 30 from 1024 and 70 respectivily from the Global variable

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  7 місяців тому +1

      @@adityamody8942 Yes, the value is specifically what I want in this application. That's because I assign the trim switch to change (adjust) the global variable directly in the special function. Basically 1 press will increase or decrease it by 1 value. So, I need to set the min and max value on each GV. For example, if you want the dual rates (weight) to go from 0 to 100 then you can change the values, min = 0, max = 100 then assign a switch to adjust the GV. Then assign that GV to weight of the channel (or input) you want.

    I followed your guide and am really liking how everything feels! I do, however, have an issue with the gyro gain with my yokomo v4. It seems my gyro adjustment is somehow also changing the endpoints on the gyro... any solution you may have for this?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  5 місяців тому

      The gyro doesn't reach the same angle after adjusting gain sounds normal. That's the same with or without EPA.
      You can check if the EPA is still the same by steering the car while it's stationary and see if it can still reach the maximum steering after adjusting gain. If you turn the gain down and somehow you can't steer to the max while it's not moving then there's a problem and maybe you'll need to reset the gyro or try another channel/output frequency.

    • @Limitless_Potato
      @Limitless_Potato 5 місяців тому +1

      @BeaversHobby yes this is what I mean. The epa changes along with the gain. The higher the gain, the higher the endpoints. I have the channel at 333hz atm

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  5 місяців тому +1

      @@Limitless_Potato That is so weird. Usually the 2 are set separately and EPA is controlled outside of the dial. There's nothing on the manual either. Can you try using it without the gain channel connected and adjust it on the dial on the gyro unit? If the problem still persists on that dial too then it might be faulty or it just doesn't really like ELRS receiver.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  8 місяців тому +1

      It might be possible that the throttle trim is off centre. The new version shouldn't have that so it should work as long as you don't push or pull the throttle when binding or turning it on. If the problem still persists, try and pull the throttle a bit then bind it to the car. If nothing works then I'm afraid the all in one unit might be faulty.

      There's one manufacture from Greece that does it. It also increases the grip as far as I know.
      There are more effective ways to reduce the noise. As long as there are tyres spinning there will be noise so one way to do is to dampen the surface. Use short hair carpet/office carpet or moketa and the noise will go away. If you have a vinyl drift track then put some EVA mats or freight mats under the vinyl sheet will help a lot.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  Місяць тому

      It'll work the same. I don't see any difference when using the internal module (of the TX16S) and the external.
      Basically it depends what will you use the most, ELRS or 4-in-1. If you mainly use it with cars that support 4-in-1 protocols then getting that version is better because you don't have to keep plugging in and out the module. Mostly because it doesn't fit inside the carrying case and you'll have to take the module out when putting the transmitter in the case.
      I use the ELRS because I install my own receiver and it's one of the fastest protocol available.

      @BeaversHobby  5 днів тому

      Some servos and gyros that can be programmed via SBUS are not compatible with ELRS receiver.
      I don't know which one is at fault so you can try and connect the servo directly to the receiver and see if it still works. If so then the problem is at the gyro. If you use a 4 or 5 channel receiver then you can config the output of channel 1 (where you connect the gyro/servo) to pin 4 or 5 on the receiver to avoid the glitch.

      Also try and plug the servo into channel 3 or whichever you set the VR (for gyro gain) to see if that also works. If the gain adjustment moves the servo then use that channel for the gain adjustment.
