I’d love a legacy Sideways that’s a combination of the Bay design with the Armada aesthetic. Like a car with the door wings and the hood chest, but purple with yellow accents. Sort of like how legacy bulkhead is part G1 part Prime part Animated.

I'd much rather have just a unicron trilogy sideways I'm not a fan of the movie look and even if I was trying to mash a movie aesthetic with a armada one would probably just end up clashing and with no one happy but I guess different strokes
It breaks my heart that Mercedes Soundwave couldn't get this kind of engineering effort to recapture his 2011 film essence, didn't even get his sonic guns. I loved that design just as much as Sideways back then.
The fact that the design is more based off of what we see in the ROTF game makes me happier. I don't care what people think, I think that game was a blast. It was part of my childhood, and you can't change that

I'm pretty fine with the alt mode, even though sometimes, getting to it is a bit of pain. What softens it is the fact that this figure has almost no backpack/kibble. Only the rear of the car. It's squished so perfectly together which makes me wish every transformer deluxe was like that, but I, at the same time, understand why it's not possible

I'm very happy that sideways finally has a good toy the original rotf toy line was ok but it really wasn't that good as soon when studio series released sideways from the game design I was excited that were gonna get a decent sideways toy
one way to really stand him up the best is to have his feet be as up as possible to bump into the leg itself and bend the knees a bit to make it more proportional, it makes him a bit shorter tho
Every time a new character is released I get excited…and then I remember how long it takes for these Bay characters to come out, and how long this line has been around, and I start to fear we may not get the two dozen or so characters that this line has yet to touch.
This figure made me want to go back and play the ROTF game on PC again, as I need some good reference for when I customise the figure. The game isn't the best, but can be fun. Just like this figure! I agree, the car mode is off, the back shouldn't just abruptly end, it should be more like the original figure. I do hope we get some game figures, that would be the next stage of the Studio Series' evolution!

When I first saw this figure, I fell in love with it. I’ve wanted a studio series figure of this guy so bad, and it’s finally here. Also regarding the door wings, I think it’s actually accurate to the movie. If you pause when he runs through the building and right before he transforms back into car mode, his door wings seem to be in the same spot on the toy. I know the games and concept art show the other design with them being more in the middle, but I do think this is more accurate to the movie

I would absolutely love a new WfC/FoC Prime if those leeks are true. That was my dream as a kid; my holy grail, but I could never get the WfC version and the FoC figure was nothing but loose ball joints and I didn't like it.
I'm glad I waited for reviews before getting this. I love Sideways' design and this almost looked like it could be a winner, but after seeing that transformation, I'm staying completely clear of it because the clear plastic will not survive more than a month under that kind of stress. That and the amount of ball joints is disappointing.
The clear plastic is actually quite thick. Like even the hinges are super huge in comparison to what we used to get that i don't really worry about it breaking
Tucking the shoulders into the chest and angling the wheels out makes him so much more accurate. A silver sharpie does him wonders. Also fully chicken-leg him and have the thighs touch those two orbs on the sides of his abdomen for accuracy and more stability. Shoutout to my fellow (no one else) Sideways Sniper mains in the ROTF game MP!
Sideways is the most appropriate character for a "Legacy" toy, with all his iterations being the same dimension hopper. I know his motorcycle mode is the most iconic, but I'd like his hypotetical Legacy toy to be a retool of Cogman (Headmaster two seater), and have Crosswise and Rook as Titan Master figures, in addition to a retooled Enigma of Combination as his standard head. His car would have the armada colors (maybe with some extra black to homage RID) but be as legally close as possible to an Audi R8 (for the 5th time). Either his forearm cannons or saw weapons would be fine as accessories
Got this figure because I love the design, and Sideways has become one of my favorite characters due to him being the same character in every universe they've ever been in.
6:30 I shaved the smallest amount out of the ball socket inside edges in the feet with an exacto knife and then added clear coat to the sockets and now he's much more stable and has a slight ankle tilt that goes a long way

Trans Theories, a transformers theorist, said that he was there for product, saying that Scavenger was gonna live or something, then the company of sideways vehicle said no, so they change it, THEN they said they want him back in, so they made a short clip of him escaping, since that was the last animation they made for him.

I hate how car licensing works, ferrari did this with mirage as well, Studio series is supposed to be affordable while being as screen accurate as possible, i like the robot mode though
If you ar careful you can get the doors to fold behind the back panel, and it actually looks pretty clean. Bit of a hump but it does give him a nice bit of mass
The feet of the ROTF Sideways mold are tiny but you're supposed to have the legs from the hip downward folded back more for a more chicken leg style rather straight normal legs as seen with your figure with the side panels above the ankles folded to face the inside of the legs and the wheels themselves to be used as the heels
I love this figure, the backpack transformation is so satisfying to me also the gun I use on miner megatron for a pseudo tank turret and it look phenomenal Yk except for the hollow bit

I still hate how the SS sideswipe uses fake arms but has the literal front pieces of the car on his feet instead of his arms. I mean, come on... Sidearms Sideswipe accomplished that joint, and the legs were pretty faithful! Wonder why SS couldn't have ben inspired by that figure.

But if that car was real and say something like an "Audi R5" or whatever Hatchback concept, that would be really cool! But I can't call it an R8 at all, the old one which I have that mold too, it looks way more like one, just wish Audi wasn't so stingy about their cars.

His vehicle mode almost looks like a Ford Focus-- ALMOST.
As for the rear wheels, adjust his finger-joints. Chances are that there's friction.
