Really informative video!! As an Indian, I can relate and I definitely see so much colorism in our society as well (we have so much whitening here as well, until recently one of the most popular beauty products was called "Fair and Beauty"), and it's definitely a product of the British rule here. You've explained the topic very well. Glad to be a new subscriber!

You can’t blame this on US or Europe. Go to Mexico and watch soap operas or news anchors and you’ll see some of the whitish people. Indians have a cast system and they mostly want their kids to be with ONLY Indians ( even if it’s lighter skinned Indians) In the United States and Europe, white bashing and white shaming is the thing. No other race of people are taught to be ashamed of their culture as white Europeans. Even though slavery was practiced all over the world including natives of the Americas, Caribbean, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Conquest and even genocide was also done by every race around the world
@@Navy35Its about racist cultural ideological practices that are perpetuated. From human to human. It has nothing to do with being white, it’s despite that. Thanks Sol during the slave trade. Everybody has done bad things. So it’s not about an argument against skin color racism is genetically inherent. Dont get caught up in the identity of skin. When it’s about men inhumanity towards men. You see Bashan going the other direction as well against people in society who are marginalized racially. Things done just come from nowhere. Causes that leads to effects in outcome. You cant just turn things around towards calling a person racist for reacting to racist onslaughts. Everyone wants to be white or closer to its proximity. They have it the easiest on the planet when traveling. Everyone to some degree gets dragged to further away they are in proximity.
Happy to see someone take the time to explain!
Very informative! I hadn't known about the colorism in east Asia.
Happens in Southeast Asia too. Me and my sister are always constantly praised for our complexion but my brother gets nothing because he's darker.
Indigenous people are beautiful!
She's too indian? She's incredibly attractive is more of my thinking. ❤
Love this! I've been looking for information about colorism in our community, thanks!
You need waaaay more subscribers! Thank you for this!
Great video Jerson!
omg I just found your channel, but I love your content already.
Spread the truth. This racist don’t like to hear the truth.
This is very informative 💛
And India too and Africa too
nice!
Mexican soap operas have whites as the lead characters. The mestizo or indigenous fill in the parts as maids and campesinos.
I took a DNA test to find out what my ethnicity mix was and it was the standard 60% Native American 40% European. I noticed I was treated differently from my mostly European counterparts. That is so wrong in so many accounts. I think it's the Spanish people that were so racist and formed classes based on someones admixture. I am part Irish as well and learned the Portuguese the Spaniards cousins took in Irish ppl as slaves! No joke. It's straight up disrespect. Smh
