Hickok45 videos are filmed on my own private shooting range and property by trained professionals for educational and entertainment purposes only, with emphasis on firearms safety and responsible gun ownership. We are NOT in the business of selling firearms or performing modifications on them. Do not attempt to copy at home anything you see in our videos. Firearms can be extremely dangerous if not used safely.
Funny how you can watch a guy like Paul for years and, when hes gone, you miss him like family. RIP Paul, you will always be with us in our hearts.

I've noticed that too. I've witnessed kids of UA-camrs grow up and become adults. Seen many go through sickness, divorce, and loss of their loved ones. I've cried a number of times to UA-camr's that have lost dogs. I've gained a lot of empathy for others because of it, as I have very little social contact with other people. The best advice I can give people in times like these is to let your loved ones know that you love them, through words and actions. Life is short, and we all need to use that time as widely as possible.
He's like the awesome uncle we only wish we could've had.
put my thoughts into words.
A final gift from Paul to remind me to cherish those who are truly dear to me.
Well said, Hickock. Paul wouldn't want us to sit around crying over his loss, he'd want us to get off our asses and put to good use the lessons he dedicated his life to teaching us.
Absolutely. I suppose anybody likes to think he or she will be missed, at least a little, but what sort of person would not want everybody to move on and make the best of THEIR lives. Their times will come soon enough, as well.
well said
@@hickok45The pain of the loss never gets any easier , I just want you to know how much you have brightened so many of my days when I have found myself looking for someone to talk to me to take my mind off my losses and found one of your videos... thank you for everything you do and rest in peace Paul. Life is good ( short and sometimes painful)
Exactly. Well spoken
Amen
I'm not a shooter, but watched Paul's videos for years. He was quirky, and a bit nerdy - and fully self aware and comfortable with that. His humour peppered his videos, even the serious ones. His actual comedy series of videos, like the Thanksgiving episodes. His dedication to testing, stating his ammo choices and error sources was second to none on UA-cam. The occaisonal spat with other content providers who disagreed with him, prompting response videos. The campfire stories, many of which occurred around actual campfires. The few references to his personal life and his final dignified way of dealing with his pancreatic cancer up to filming his own death announcement. All that made him unique on UA-cam.
Excellent comment.
Well said, he had a unique style that l really enjoyed and will miss.
Quirky, nerdy, blunt, self aware and confidently badass. His opinionated ways were part of the reason I loved his content. If you're doing something with passion you're going to have strong opinions. He was a man who led with research, experience and facts, not emotions. For someone so unique he was confidently himself
Hear, hear !
Such an eerie last video
RIP to an absolute titan of a man, and a pillar of the 2A community.

stop bringing politics into this, that’s not what he wanted. He explicitly spoke against using his death a a political base.
@@MackieLevyn what are you on about?
@MackieLevyn theres nothing political here numb nut.
@@MackieLevynYeah it was pretty obvious to anyone who knew or watched Paul that he intentionally didn’t talk politics and religion , yet there’s always those who do. Roy even mentioned it at the end of the “I’m dead” video. He was a great man
Thanks Hickok45. We will miss him. "Death smiles at us all. All we can do is smile back" - Marcus Aurelius
Perfect profile picture for that comment. Also, excellent quote
You can smile, you can grin, you can mean mug him, perhaps even cheat him a little

The one thing that is true, is that YOU can do NOTHING!!!
But Jesus Christ already did it!

Dang it, on the other hand there's Edna St. Vincent Millay:
Down, down, down into the darkness of the grave
Gently they go, the beautiful, the tender, the kind;
Quietly they go, the intelligent, the witty, the brave.
I know. But I do not approve. And I am not resigned.
The day they announced Paul’s passing, I had a customer come in by the name of “Pauline Harrell.”
Funny, it almost brought me to tears. A man I had never met, don’t know much of anything about him except his love for sharing knowledge. What a gift to be alive at the same time as him.
Godspeed Paul, and thank you.
He was very much a father figure in many ways. I think most of us saw the father we had, or wished that we had had in him. So his loss hits a bit closer.
Well spoken man, reading your comment I can relate to how you feel
Rip Paul. You will be missed.
He already is.
Time for an Irish wake!
Why are my eyes getting wet
Thank you Mr. Hickok for honoring a fellow firearms expert. We will all miss him dearly. Blessings!

Thank you Benjamin Paul Harrell 🫡
Harrell and Hickock, two men I never met, yet they've hand a profound impact on my look at life. Rest in Peace Paul and Mr Hickock, appreciate your words. You're a class act!
Hickok45 and Paul Harrell, two men of charisma, charm and knowledge. I thank you both for your devotion to the sport of shooting, common sense and civility.
Semper Fidelis
Paul was such a class act, he apologized in his own prerecorded death video for not being to make content for us for a longer time. With no trace of the speech impediment he claimed to have. Thanks for acknowledging him, Hickck45. Shows you are a class act in your own right.
Indeed!!!!
I concur! Two genuine class acts no doubt about it.
The only two I watch.

You're a class act, Mr. Hickok.
Rest in peace Paul
Ecclesiastes 11:9
"Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment."
Rest in peace paul. Watched him for many many years. Always enjoyed his sense of humor and no nonsense ways. He will be missed.
We also lost William Post (creator of Pop Tarts) in February of this year. Two legends brought together in a way never imagined. May they both be enjoying their Pop Tarts together in better place!
In the video called "I'm Dead" by Paul, his brother has a box of pop tarts in front of his laptop.
In that case add Wallace Amos Jr.
William Post said that he had eaten over 10,000 pop tarts in an interview before his death.
Was he the one that put the poison in poptarts?
I love that i can laugh at that and shed a tear at the same time.
RIP Paul. Thank you for being a part of our lives. We will miss you.
Ecclesiastes 11:9
"Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment."
Is he really dead?
I’m French, and you can’t imagine how much pleasure you’re giving us with your videos, we who are on the old continent with all the restrictions on weapons ... Thank you all, American shooters, defend your rights , we couldn’t do it... it’s thanks to people like Paul and you Hickook that freedom is a living word.
Moi aussi, j'ai appris à tirer dans l'Oise, avec des silencieux. Ah, la jeunesse en Picardie. Maintenant le Texas par voie de la Californie (high desert). I love France, but you can never really go home. Paul Harrell was a giant in my mind, as is Hickok. He will truly be missed but I will enjoy his legacy on the youtube, and secretely hoping for blooper reels from his brother and his producer. Secret? No, public. A voir, les Tontons Flingueurs et Le Vieux Fusil, humour et catharsis.
“Don’t resent growing old, many are denied the privilege.” An old Irish saying.
Yours and Pauls channels are my go to when I need advice or an opinion on gun related subjects. Paul will be missed greatly by his followers.
Great saying- I saved it.
He was 58. So close to retirement and chilling.
"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men lived."
Rest easy, Paul. We'll see you again later.
Thank you, Hickok.
Great quote - thanks for that.
Gen. George Patton
You can still mourn someone without being foolish. It’s foolish to call a mourning person foolish.
I'm sad...
RIP Paul...
Thank U for being A Great Man...
@@LifeisGood-ye8rl Very true. Many people *need* to mourn and to deny them that is harmful.
Paul and You fill many hours in my life with lots of good stuff.
We’re going to miss him. 😇
He will be missed. God bless his family. Every pop tart will forever be in his honor.
I have a fresh box of frosted strawberry I'm about to drown my sorrows in.
A box of strawberry will be in my next order.
Given that he unfortunately died of pancreatitic cancer I don't think that it is wise to consume hyper processed food in the way he did. Rip Paul.
@@Strange84 At this point breathing air in a city is probably more likely to increase your risk of cancer compared to occasionally eating unhealthy food. There are people who are way less healthy than Paul ever was who will live longer because they get lucky. Obviously try to be healthy, but enjoy your life while you do so. Eating a few pop tarts isn't going to do anything.
God? Which god?
Thank you for making this video Hickok.
Paul never felt like a celebrity UA-camr to me, he felt like my dad. I’m 34 years old and I’m completely broken up over the loss of someone who I never met, yet hold in high regard. God Bless you for acknowledging Paul and giving him the dignity he strived for and deserves.
It's strange, I get sort of the same sensation I got when my father died, where I'll watch a different video and something will remind me of him. Not long ago, I even bought one of those old hunting jackets like Paul wore (it was at an estate sale for a dollar.) I never met the man, I only ever watched his videos on the internet, yet I haven't been able to get it out of my mind since I heard. For some reason, I can watch films from the twenties and thirties just fine, or shows from the sixties, where I know good and well that every actor there died years ago. With Paul Harrell, it was different. He was more than a character, he was a human being. He can't just be portrayed by somebody else.
Me too man 🙁
I had a similar feeling. I started watching paul early on. I learned a lot from him, and when I got the news I was unusually sad about it. Like you said , odd for someone you've never met.
I hope it's not hickok45 next.
Well said
I remember being alone for thanksgiving and binging Paul’s thanksgiving episodes, I don’t think I’ve had 1 thanksgiving dinner with my biological dad but I’ve had a couple with Paul, he’ll be missed by people around the world
but legends never really die.
Condolences to Paul’s family and friends.
Paul made the world a safer, more informed place.
You and Paul have been my favorite gun youtube channels. No gimmicks no crazy explosions and tacticool junk, just wise old school men sharing their knowledge and love of guns, Paul will be missed.

It's things like this that just confirm you're fans of the right people. Well said Hickock. Listening to this, I couldn't help but recall a day as a teenager right after my paternal grandfather died, when my maternal grandfather took my brother and I out shooting to the usual spot (my grandfathers were both WWII veterans and friends) and while we were practicing what one grandfather had taught us, we were listening to the other teach us about grief and loss and how to both endure it and support others doing the same. I have no doubt that both my grandfathers (sadly now passed), and my uncles and my dad (who are all thankfully still with us) would be(/are in the case of my dad and uncle Larry) fans of both Paul and Hickok, and this message resonates with every part of me. Thank you.
Legends Never Die!!! He will be missed for sure but not forgotten
Thank you for a sincere heartfelt send off for Paul. It is reassuring to see men of dignity and class. Paul was my internet gun dad, and Hickok, you are my internet gun grandpa. Keep up the good work. We need you. There is a big void.
Big void indeed.

Very well said! Lost my dad to cancer, so it really hits home.
You sir, are a class act of the same caliber Paul was.

Paul is forever immortalized by the lessons he taught so many of us.
Damn straight, millions of us learned lessons from him. Most will pass them on and so forth.
ill never forget the lesson of "racking a shotgun is not an effective intruder deterrent"

Never preachy, never could be mistaken for a bought and paid for shill, always practical sensible advice. The torch he passed we all carry within us. Freedom truly isn't free-- you have to love it more than life. God rest your soul Mr. Harrell, well said Hickock.
I've been watching Paul & Hickock45 for a decade, and learned so much. Paul is already missed, but grateful for the past 10 years.
Very classy Hickok as always, thoughts and prayers to him and his family.
Goodbye Paul, rest well
Thinking of the right thing to say at a time like this while still reeling from Paul's farewell video, is near impossible. You said some very kind words which I couldn't have said better. I'm glad we still have you. Farewell Paul.
I clicked on Paul's post the instant it popped up and have cried much since. Your heartfelt comments brought on another session, and I sincerely Thank You. I can't mourn him enough. You're right, we are a family. Losing any member is hurtful. Personally, throwing some lead with you all would be heaven to me! God speed and take care, brothers
I'm literally crying right now...Farewell Mr. Harrell and thank you for all of your knowledge and wisdom that you have dispensed. You have impacted more lives than you will ever know. Thank you Hickock45 for spreading the word and paying homage to a beloved and lost member of our community. Blessings!
Your comment just hit me like a baseball bat to the face, because a few months ago, a dear friend of many years died suddenly and way too young. His name was Joshua Gilbert.

Well said sir. Hopefully we will all meet at that range in the sky one day. Thanks to both of you great men.
This is the first I've heard of his passing. He was a legitimately good man who had many good things to teach us about guns and shooting in general. From the "Meat target" to shooting soda bottles, he always presented in a clear and often humorous manner. RIP Paul....

Awesome tribute. So sad that Paul will not be making another Thanksgiving special, but the old ones are so long that I'll enjoy them for years to come. Thanks Hickock. RIP Paul.
Paul was a one in a million. He lived for truth and teaching, all the while doing so with a sense of humor, that I loved. More then that he reminded me of my time with my dad as a youngster, being taught to gun safety, to shoot, about ballistics and how to reload. RIP Paul...say hello to my Dad!
Paul truly was a great man. I am honored to have been able to watch his videos the last several years. Thanksgiving won’t be the same for a while.
