Just wanted to comment a correction, Ready player one made 607 million in total box office, against a 175 million budget. It was 100 percent a financial success.
Justin, Neo literally says ... im gonna hang up this phone and then show everyone want you don't want them to see... so the flying was what he was talking about.
I saw this movie in the cinema. I love the Kung Fu action, the bullet time effects, and the sets in the movie. Not bad for "Dark City with Martial Arts."
Okay so I know this is an older video but I'm brand new to the channel. I just wanted to clarify something about the sprinkler systems I'm a trained firefighter the sprinklers will only go off if heat is directed on that certain sprinkler head. So no there was a fire in the bottom of the building the top of the building sprinklers would not go off in real life
I KNOW WHAT JUSTIN WAS TALKING ABOUT! It was a dwarf in Vegas who was being arrested for disturbing through traffic, and first he tried climbing a street light (to where?). When they cuffed him, he tried to break out of them twice. Later he did Kung-Fu Mini-Me style escape back-flips. It was the greatest thing I will ever see.
When Smith says "the informant is real", he's talking about Cypher. Saying that Cypher has already started selling out the resistance. Cypher was supposed to meet the Agents which is why the line was tapped
I worked at a movie theater when this movie came out. Two people showed up and wanted to watch the trailer, they said their daughter was in the film. I let them in and afterwards asked them who their daughter was, they said: "Carrie-Anne Moss."
ATTENTION TONY: KEANU DOES A WHOA IN DRACULA. It's when Dracula turns into a bat after he feeds Mina and he swings down from the ceiling and squeals at them. Keanu swings something at him and goes "WHOA!!!"
I recently discovered your channel.... Was watching Addams Family videos, you you got recommended..... Must say I AM LOVING binge watching your videos.... Shame at some point I will have to wait for new uploads.....
Hey Famous Tony from Hack The Movies! Can you guys please do the rest of the sequels AND The Animatrix with Rocco? This is one of the best episodes I've watched with you guys discussing a movie. Toss in Justin or Kieran or Johanna and we'll have a few bangers of episodes! With The Matrix being 25-years-old this March I would hope Matrix searches are up so it'd be worth your guys time to review the series.
I get 2 hits on the Metacoretex deal, 1st theory is that Neo and his coworkers are literally the computer tech staff, 2nd is Morphious changed the matrix to leave the scaffold where it was or his crew were the window washers, for a company that obviously has some confidential info on there computer screens the window guys could watch and see passwords and such, seems like they would be washing the windows at night when nobody but maintenance is in the building.
The Matrix as a franchise was definitely a much better example of a multi-media expanded universe done well. Unlike, say, Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker where "somehow Palpatine returned" and it's quote-unquote """teased""" in the completely unrelated Fortnite and quote-unquote """explained""" in some random ass one-off comic. (edited to say "done well" instead of "done right")
The robot is called "nanny" they are meant to ensure pods stay active and if they wake they are put back to sleep..but neo taking the red pill not only was able to find his location but also makes the "nanny" reject you and then get ejected..
In the opening scene, you can see that the backdrop skyline is Nashville. I only noticed because it's my hometown. Then in The 6th Day, that exact same image is used again outside of the bad guy's office. I guess it was just laying around the studio storage free to use.
Oouu good movie, could rant for days. I loved entire trilogy as one complete story. Great guest host Rocco. Always good to see Justin on rental reviews.
I miss seeing Newt in these Premiering thumbnails. I still go back for laughs and listen to the Ghostbusters 2 and the Friday the 13th episodes when I’m at work, probably the episodes I’ve watched (or listened to) the most. Tony and Newt were on their A-game in those. I’m fine with these other cats on here though.
I think Neo's mouth melting shut is a reference to an old Sci-Fi short story. I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream by Harlan Ellison. A giant computer takes over the world and keeps the last three humans alive for entertainment.
Yeah that same story was the first invention of a world dominating supercomputer that massacred most of humanity. Harlan Ellison even famously sued the terminator franchise because Skynet is a rip-off of AM. The only reason the Matrix didn't get sued is because the machines dont have a main brain (other than agent Smith).
How come nobody brings up that there was nothing on neos computer when he is "working" was this just an editing mistake or suppose to have a visual effect added later or what?
One of the things that I've always hated about the sequel movies is that in the original film, it is stated ad nauseum that when you see an Agent, you run. Full stop. And that ONLY Neo/The One has the ability to manipulate the Matrix to, as Trinity says, "move like they do" and fight them head-to-head. Yet, Revelations and Revolutions in an effort to go ever bigger, has EVERYBODY fighting Agents left and right like it was never really a thing. They threw their own lore right out the window. Also...Tony is the ONLY person I've heard say that The Mandalorian is boring. 🙄 But, then again, he defines himself through trolling so...
Rocco touched on it, why the battery thing makes no sense. It wasn't the wachowskis it was an executive. An executive said that the concept of chaining together a bunch of humans for processing power didn't make a lot of sense to them and would be too complicated for the average viewer. Using people as computers makes a lot of sense and eliminates a lot of the confusion and little gaps in the plot. I don't think anyone's ever heard the Wachowski say anything, because they are notoriously tight-lipped about the Matrix series. Even the audio commentary is done by other people, and I don't think they do very many interviews
I don't have that many details, but I've heard about an older woman who killed her boss because she thought he was an agent who was suppressing her in the Matrix
Huh? Informant? Nooo. Neo wasn't the informant. When Smith says "the informant is real", he's talking about Cypher. Cypher had already been in contact with the machines at that point. He's the one who told them where to find Trinity at the start of the movie.
I always assumed cypher had a program to control jacking him into the matrix and getting him out, because where he is working with the agents he didn't need an operator to be able to hack things on the fly depending on what happens. He already knew when and where he's going to get in and out and the agents are allowing it, so nothing will go wrong and cause the plan to be changed as things happen.
As someone who saw Evangelion before Matrix (OG anime), I always felt like the Matrix sequels copied a lot of the exposition from Evangelion but did it without the same deep meaning
I think from that in the 4th matrix Neo made a matrix movie in the matrix. And is a huge hit and now he’s gonna make a sequel and everything is just movie vs real life kinda thing 🤷🏻♂️

IGNORANCE IS BLISS………
Morpheus: "No one can be told what Talking About Tapes is. You have to see it for yourself."
Neo: "Whoa!"
🇮🇹 Imagine Trisha, Tony, and Rocco in the same episode. The holy trinity of Italian entertainers 🇮🇹
Tony is mostly Irish lol
Rocco Siffredi?
🤌🍝🍷🍕🇮🇹
Whoa
Rather have Trisha, Tony & Johanna
Just wanted to comment a correction, Ready player one made 607 million in total box office, against a 175 million budget. It was 100 percent a financial success.
Bro two years later and its my first time seeing this video, it was a ride. Thank you.
Rocco is one of my most favorite people. This is so dope!
Man look at that perfect time length at EXACTLY 2 hours.
I mean it's not hard when they can just edit it to be 2 hours 😂😂😂
Justin, Neo literally says ... im gonna hang up this phone and then show everyone want you don't want them to see... so the flying was what he was talking about.
1999's The Matrix Was American Film Critic Jay Sherman's Ninth Best Film Of 1999 On His Best Of 1999 List.
*stares intensely at thumbnail*
Is that Rocco?
... It is!
45:55 - "Yes! I love this! For mysterious reasons, I love this!"
I almost died. 🤣🤣🤣
Bar scene in Desperado is definitely in my top 5 shoot outs along with all of Machete.
I saw this movie in the cinema. I love the Kung Fu action, the bullet time effects, and the sets in the movie. Not bad for "Dark City with Martial Arts."
Dark City With blade fight scenes
this movie franchise is way more deep than "kung fu dark city"
Rocco is holding back so much when Justin slanders the sequels
reloaded is the best movie
Okay so I know this is an older video but I'm brand new to the channel. That exact same thing happened to me !! We must’ve worked together is this Chris?
The matrix game was the first Xbox game I beat before it had to be returned to Hollywood Video.
I’m a new viewer too! And it started with Addams Family Values 🤣🤣🤣
same here, and once I fell in love with Newt he disappeared :(
however, HTM uploads pretty frequently, its like a weekly thing to look forward to :)
Yeah….. but it’s more fun watch 4 back to back!
1:43:12 yeah but like It was 100% agent smith so…

"But Phashma is sooo cool in the comics". Wasted Gwendolyn's skills.
The robot is called "nanny" they are meant to ensure pods stay active and if they wake they are put back to sleep..but neo taking the red pill not only was able to find his location but also makes the "nanny" reject you and then get ejected..

It's cool Justin also likes Cyberpunk 2077. I think it's a fun game.
They do use paper backdrops still. They used one in Fallen Kingdom for the DPG San Francisco scene.
Equilibrium would be a great review to do

Your bigger glasses over your regular glasses are killin me! Love you guys
I heard Tony is so famous that his guests actually pay him just to be on the show.
screeenwave pays in exposure.
So damn old, it came in the classic cardboard dvd case
NEO: I know Kung-Fu
MORPHEUS: Dream on
1:33:13 best matrix ending of all time
The red pill was a suppository. Neo is tripping balls.
Are all suppositories hallucinagens?
suppository is a method of taking medication/drugs up the ass so I'm confused but in a happy way
First of all....🤮
Second of all.....🫡
Monster Magnet did Matt Hardys theme about slapping a tornado
Epic
*"The Matrix is Whoa!"*
Fixed your title. 😉
Gloria Foster is so goddamned delightful in every single frame she’s in.
Two things I love. The Matrix and Hack the Movies... good times.
Supposedly in the original script the computers were using human brains as memory space, but some producers didn't like that idea for some reason.
I think they said it was too abstract or something, so they said to use the battery thing to make it more obvious to audiences
Love when Tony busts out his "robotic" dance moves.
I think Neo's mouth melting shut is a reference to an old Sci-Fi short story.
I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream by Harlan Ellison. A giant computer takes over the world and keeps the last three humans alive for entertainment.

Miss Newt dude was mad cool hope he comes back soon
Can't believe you didn't point out the "accept cookies" inside joke for the Oracle, great review as always
The guy that knocks on Neo's door is named Choi. Her name is Du'Jour. Combine it: it's "Choice of the Day" in French.
First time I heard of Rob Zombie was also in Jet Set Radio!
I appreciate Milton from Office Space made a cameo on this episode
Hands down my favorite episode so far!
SHOUT OUT TO TONY FOR RECOGNIZING THE TRUE TRENCHCOAT TRENDSETTER: Blade. ✊🏾
Cypher was the informant the agents were referring to. "In any case, the informant is real." They're referring to the fact that Cypher set Trinity up.
Seriously great episode, gotta get Rocco on the show more often!
Rocco the true influence of the Matrix
#Mega64 #TakeThatDerrick
I could see someone being influenced by The Matrix. If media didn't influence us, companies wouldn't spend millions of dollars on commercials.
Here for my man Trick Whitey. Shout out to all my Analog Byches
Tony, everyone knows Joe Pantoliano is famous for his roll in Robot in the Family.
Please... for the LOVE OF GAWD, review Dark City plz!
I actually never heard of this movie until my cousin brought his VHS rented copy to my house. Totally missed the marketed.
Calling it now. When Spoon Kid comes back, the song “Spoonman” will be playing. Because he’s Spoon Man now.
this was a great review. good job, guys!
I've been waiting for this episode for a long time thanks HaCk tHe MoVie's📼
How come nobody brings up that there was nothing on neos computer when he is "working" was this just an editing mistake or suppose to have a visual effect added later or what?
Maybe he has a boss button
Is funny how Tony said Neo can "realistically" can do anything even though nothing in the movie is realistic.
They threw their own lore right out the window.
Also...Tony is the ONLY person I've heard say that The Mandalorian is boring. 🙄 But, then again, he defines himself through trolling so...
I'm glad someone is picking up the "I used to work at a movie theater" story slack
Instead of tumble weeds in the subway fight they had newspapers.
LMFAO "I am a sentinel"
These guys are legends in the making
For me it’s always been that first movie and the freeway chase of the second movie. The Animatrix was kinda aight.
Rocco touched on it, why the battery thing makes no sense. It wasn't the wachowskis it was an executive. An executive said that the concept of chaining together a bunch of humans for processing power didn't make a lot of sense to them and would be too complicated for the average viewer.

Even the audio commentary is done by other people, and I don't think they do very many interviews
I think the fact it made over 5 hundred million with a budget of 175 mil means there were people that saw ready player one.
I don't have that many details, but I've heard about an older woman who killed her boss because she thought he was an agent who was suppressing her in the Matrix
I'm very upset that no one mentioned the "fart within the matrix" video from the early days of the internet.
No one wanted to see zion in the sequels ... we wanted more neo action in the matrix.
I love seeing someone correct another person using the wrong information. lol, It's Elrond.
Any reasons for the exact length of 2:00:00?
Who is off-camera going "Yeah, yeah, uh-huh, yeah?" Cause it's annoying as hell.
It was me. I did it way too much that day and tried to cut my mic but I guess the others picked it up.
Been a fan of mega64 for over a decade
I liked swordfish surprised you didn’t like that
So can I get the 4k release of this episode so its not as green?
Huh? Informant? Nooo. Neo wasn't the informant. When Smith says "the informant is real", he's talking about Cypher. Cypher had already been in contact with the machines at that point. He's the one who told them where to find Trinity at the start of the movie.
Finally a review of a movie I recently watched lol
@@ziggygunz2447 re watched I should say
Damn I use to see this movie all the time. Gonna have to revisit it soon
They also copied dragon ball z
THE CROSSOVER WE ALL NEED
Please please please talk about The Lawnmower Man sometime soon. Stay safe! 💜
Each sprinkler would need to be set off individually, also, it'd be black sludge water for the first few minutes.
I think from that in the 4th matrix Neo made a matrix movie in the matrix. And is a huge hit and now he’s gonna make a sequel and everything is just movie vs real life kinda thing 🤷🏻♂️
I popped hard for that Phat Beach shout out.
Joey pants was also in the wachowskis movie Bound
The informant they're referring to at the beginning is Cypher, not Neo. He sold out trinity's location.
Bring back Rocco for more episodes!
This movie is awesome. We just talked about this recently ourselves!
The Matrix WAS awesome. And then the second one happened. And then the third one happened....
Holy Moly, Its Rocco!!!
0:10 HEY I KNOW THAT GUY
Who?
