I think this video hits me harder than any other on food addiction, and I think I have seen them all. Excellent explanation, Dr. Fuhrman! And scary! I will send this around.

Wow I wish people would talk more candid like this about the results of a poor diet on our mental health and outlook on life…this would so good for me.

Processed food manufacturers need to hear from consumers that less sugar, oil and salt is wanted in their food products.
Why is there so much sugar in everything, even bread. That's just crazy
Email, text, tweet or phone your favorite producer of poison and let them know consumers want less salt, oils and sugars in their products.
Let their customer service department know that all the extra added salt, oil and sugar is not necessary or desired and is causing health issues.

I am wanting to know where in all your books, podcasts, videos etc can I find out the best way of eating to GAIN weight without gaining visceral fat. In other words to gain weight but not become a "skinny fat" person with big belly and skinny arms and legs. If you could just tell me where to find this information from your perspective, I would be most grateful.

"The dietary rules in this book are too calorie-restricted and too fat-restricted for a child or thin athlete. However, the principles for healthy eating and longevity do not change. All that has to be done to increase the calorie density and fat density of the diet is to add more wholesome sources of fat and calories, such as raw nuts and seeds, nut butters, and avocados. Starchy vegetables and whole grains can be consumed in larger amounts, and vegetables and grain dishes can be flavored with sauces and dressings made with nuts and seeds.
If you want to gain weight, eating more - or eating differently to bulk up - it will add mostly fat to your body. It is exceptionally rare for a person to gain more muscle just from eating more food. Forcing yourself to consume more food than your body wants is not in your best interest. If you want to gain weight, lift weights to add muscle; then exercise will increase your appetite accordingly. When you eat a healthful diet, nature has you carry only the mass you need; your muscles will enlarge only if additional stress is placed on them. Of course, this book is designed for those who are overweight and desirous of losing weight. Those who are truly excessively thin and need to gain weight may have to modify this eating plan somewhat to meet their individual needs."

I very highly recommend you read some of the many books this esteemed author has contributed, Eat to Live is a good place to start but Eat for Life is his most recent and draws on results from the most up to date scientific studies.
      Wishing you health and wellness!
