The world is on fire. Entertainers around the globe are struggling without their teams of writers, prompters etc etc. Then you have the truely talented who don't need any of that, who can be so disconnected from society yet still produce such incredible things.

I share your general sentiment to offer an alternative observation. To write the above, I think you have to be very much "connected" (not disconnected) to the world. What makes great artists like Matt is they help "us" connect/reconnect to the world through their artistic expression. We stop, stare and listen and are reminded.
