SIMULATION THEORY FILM
Available digitally now: muse.mu/film
Deluxe box sets out 11 December. Pre-order now!
From February to October of 2019 MUSE took their Simulation Theory Tour to over 28 countries and played in front of more than 1 MILLION people. Now fans will be able to experience the spectacle and more when the Simulation Theory movie will be available for rent or download on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play (distribution will be via Eagle Rock Entertainment). For more information please go to muse.mu/film
Conceived and filmed at London’s O2 Arena in September 2019 the film directed by Lance Drake, (who also directed all the promo videos for Simulation Theory album) and Produced by Muse, Pulse Films, Lance Drake, Jesse-Lee Stout and Matthew Bellamy, follows a team of scientists as they investigate the source of a paranormal anomaly appearing around the world. Blurring the lines between narrative and concert film, virtual and reality, Muse’s most theatrical tour to date launches the viewer through a supernatural spectacle, questioning the world around us.
Says Drake, “the goal for Simulation Theory was to capture the scale of the electrifying live show and to expand upon its connection to the DNA of the world we built for the past three years in music videos for Muse. In a strange turn, the film’s alternate reality eerily started to mirror our own.”
Available for pre order on the same day will be 2 different limited edition deluxe box sets which will be available via muse.mu and physical retail. To celebrate the release of the Deluxe box sets, MUSE also teamed up with Marvel Comics to create and release a custom Simulation Theory comic book and limited-edition poster.
I've been listening to and enjoying Muse for 2 decades and slowly seen their crazy conspiracy theory dystopian lyrics slowly becoming a reality.. they used to be quirky, now they are prophetic
More and more every day.
This should have been the ending of the ST album. A closing salvo with a long monologue like Isolated System.
It was. It just didn't have the desert scene in the background
@@smiffulon8246 he said album, not film.
I want to agree, but The Void is pretty fucking good.
The Void is really really good though. It closes out the album like the Exogenesis symphonies
@@Gr33nMamba oh yeah. Didnt notice lol
The 2nd Simulation : the Unsustainable Theory
I see what you did there😂😂❤️
Yuri Bezmenov knows
Yes 😂
yes
You like to mash-up,right ?
That's Matt, that's Muse.Evolving, and improving, to a next level, realising short movies, not just music.
Well, that's the right choice to do with all the money
@@foxki6071 That's the right choice when you have some brain. There are so many examples with bands, singers, sportives, which did failure because they thought that the talent is all they need.Plus bad advisers.
Progressive rock on another level
i wish muse would do a visual album. they almost did with the simulation theory album music videos.
@@theimortal1974 I think if the next album takes the story telling from Drones and the world building / film format from Simulation Theory they could really do something really incredible.
"Wake up, neo.."
Matrix symbolism everywhere
This song should be in Matrix 4.
Well the matrix was based off of simulation theory (the philosophical hypothesis, not the album)
We'll it's about reality.
reaching
The character is a mix of Morpheus, Bill O'Reilly, Max Headroom and Howard Beale from Network.
"matt bellamy walks around in a desert with a keytar while being filmed like a cryptid for 3 minutes"
btw if muse ever is looking for a perfect moon landscape filming set drunense duinen in drunen the netherlands is the one
Just what I needed 😂
at last, the return of the feral rat boy
Looks more like a beach, probably a british one, than a desert
Nice catch, that's because this is Werewolf Matt (hence the long shot of the full moon)
“To make us angry at things we never cared about.” Wow. If that doesn’t sum up the social media age…
If only you released the original of We are the universe, my life will be complete
Please like this, maybe Matt will read it
@Fox Adoem that is not the original, but someone did a good remake
Glad the message is getting out. We all need this ❤️
you're a genius Matt, I love it.
Simulation Theory was my personal most epic IMAX experience ever, and one of the best alternative ways to see Muse live. 10/10 would go again!
"...so they can sell us more crap we don't need"
Also muse: C R I P T O K I T T I E S
Have you ever wondered why this wasn't posted on the main Muse channel?
I’m glad someone called this out, RATM became a joke when they started pulling online tabs to sell tab books about songs complaining about capitalism. Sell me all the shit you want Muse, just don’t write songs about bad consumerism
Произошла метаирония
Well, we still live in a capitalist world and have to pay the bills for living in this society. We may not like capitalism, but we have to play the game until it gets upturned and something different replaces it.
KitKar79 Celebrities don’t care about regular people and for all Matt’s songs about uprisings and his tweets celebrating the riots, a few months back he had no problem flying privately to his studio to recover some guitars before it was hit. Not everyone has that luxury or wealth and a lot of people won’t recover. Everytime he tweets about how we need to stop the corrupt system from the comfort of his mansion I laugh. These celebrities are totally detached
The Grid.A digital frontier.....
Then one day.... i got in.
DUHHHHH DUHHHHHH... DUH-NAH-NAHHH...
I believe one day, a movie film will take this song for their movie soundtrack... because this song have a hook to take attention from audience.
*kindly suggests the Simulation Theory Film*
I love everything about this movie and the promos and the songs. It's so 80s and great. I can't find the words to describe it properly.
i dont get the 80s stuff, i wishes they tried to make music like they did their first three albums i really miss that stuff
the only word you need is yes
I don't think this could be any more epic. Love it so much
This sounds so epic 🤟
Amazing moment when the whole cinema kept listening to this powerfull ending till the credits where over....
Wake up, people, before it's too late!
Melody reminded me of We Are The Universe
Also: this might be the most aesthetic video you have
Nature here just 😍
The MK-ULTRA is coming off hard
I love you Matt ❤️
I have been an AVID Muse fan for gosh almost 17 years now. And I'm also obsessed with the Tron Legacy Theme.... So KAZZIE HAPPY.
Tron Legacy is so good lmao
I'd love to see a Matt Bellamy do a Netflix art film, like Thom Yorke.
LMAO, he always like Thom Yorke
Good idea.
Matt>thom
NETFLIX art film?
no please dont. enough corporate assholery
I love it when the people like muse around of the world
These are awesome. The simulation theory era is starting to become my favorite
This is so wonderfully over-the-top and I love every second of it. More!
In “Behold, The Glove” I commented “More keytair, please”... seems like he saw my comment😅
I’m just being dumb... but there’s something about Simulation Theory’s aesthetic that I’m enjoying so freakin much, and I’ve been a fan since Absolution. Keep em coming... I’m lovin it
Wow. Thank you, agreed! Seems like so many ppl keep saying how they miss their "old" or "harder" stuff. Bands that have been around this long are grateful to still be around and they got that way b/c they didn't follow an algorithm (pun intended) and their fan base stuck with them... It's Matt, it's Muse. Period. I'm their age and if I were a musician, I wouldn't want to be creating/singing about stuff now like I did in my 20's.
Christine Ringuette exactly!! I try not to let it bother me... but... well, it BOTHERS me when I see those comments... how much they miss Origins Of Symmetry MUSE and how this new album is garbage, etc... and I’ve been seeing these comments since Black Holes & Revelations!!
IMO, they have NOT put out a bad record... ever. Sure, I may not love every single song on each album... in fact, each release has at least 2 or 3 songs I always skip. But I can honestly say I love every record they’ve put out and I’ve seen them live at least once on each tour since BH&R, with a couple extra shows here and there. Even when they DID “go back to their roots” and released Drones, which is more or less a straight up rock album - drums, bass, guitar... with very little production... people still complained. Doesn’t make any sense.
And don’t get me started on the Radiohead comparisons... they haven’t had that Radiohead vibe since Showbiz, and even then... it was mostly just a similarity in vocals. I can understand to the untrained ear or casual fan how they might think this, but as a long time fan of both bands, they definitely do their own things.
Can you imagine how sick you’d get of your favorite band if they just kept making the same record over and over, just a little differently each time? People think that’s what they want, but I guarantee it’ll get old SO fast...
@@SmokeyMcPotProductions right again my friend! I bet it feels good to get that off your chest, lol.
The Radiohead comparison thing - so funny: Radiohead for me were my college days and I've always really liked them...but when I discovered Muse (at Showbiz) I did not see (hear) the comparison at all. Really! And that's me listening to the two bands (again, no social media discussions back then to have this fight)...it wasn't until after Muse put out Absolution, I think, that I started to hear ppl mumbling that crap. Then I started paying more attention, and saw a very mild comparison. I hear it in Map of Your Head and I think Paranoid Android sounds like Muse.
Oh cielos, 3 de la mañana! A tiempo para escuchar este rolón.
Oh Matt, im waiting for more! 🥺❣️
Viva Matt, Viva Muse🇲🇽🎸🤘🏻
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT!!!🎂🎈🎶🎵🎸(44), born 09-06-1978 singer of the group MUSE 🎹🎼📀
This song made the movie sounds more cool!!
Definetly a great soundtrack, thank you Matt!!!
STT Interstitial 1!
BE BRAVE, STRONG, KEEP LEARNING, KEEP SINGING IT
"How many pixels do you want the cameras to have?"
Matt: No.
God i love Matt bellamy. He's always known about the corruption in this world and tried to expose it through his music. I'm in Australia and the song uprising has never been more relevant.
I love Matt and co. and listen to them religiously, but here's a thought. Think of them as misinformation agents designed to embed specific thoughts into our minds.
An example:
The Resistance - "Quell your prayers for love and peace. You'll wake the thought police. We can hide the truth inside."
"Love is our resistance! They keep us apart and won't stop breaking us down. And hold me, our lips must always be sealed."
Yes. But I felt they were giving up hope in the Simulation theory album. If you listen to the song " thought contagion" they said in it "it's too late for a revolution, brace for the final solution"... Now it is, wake up before it's too late. Damn.
@@yewnyewn7296 The person telling you to wake up from the system... is the system. It's meta. Bellamy is an infiltrator living the LA life.
@@yewnyewn7296 one word: government
You guys are getting fucked in Australia with that zero covid tolerance. I feel bad for so many parts of the world right now that have to deal with being locked up.
i know people say bad things about the album but simulation theory will always have a place in my heart because it was the first new album release since i discovered muse and probably the only album tour i'll ever go to.
LOVE.
Matt Walkamy
Seriously tho, did the powerglove disappearing from his hand mean that he has effectively left the simulation and entered the real world?
Or he lost control of it.
This is turning into reality for real tho
Matt Bellamy I love you and your voice I 😍👍👍
Matt we need more music like this...!
Amazing Amazing Amazing
The Unsustainable vibes, love it!
there’s gonna be another video of him fully removing himself from the simulation, he lost the glove in this video. This is going to lead into a new album that brings us back to reality.
I hope that's it
Sounds great 🤔
if reality means more guitar and hard rock Muse, i'm in.
Beautiful
I am at work and I yelled 😂😂😂😂 my colleagues I think are afraid of me now 😂😂😂 I love it!!!!!!!
matt bellamy
Just...perfect
Yes! I was hoping you'd release this!
I love it ❤
Cracking synth work. This sounds awesome!
Thank you MATT BELLAMY! I LOVE SONG, SUPER!
Wow!
I love this!
Awesome Matt 👌
Just...wow!!!
Awesome
That’s perfect
I JUST REALISED, This is literally Muse's version of "What's he building in there?"
This gives me the shivers!! Fantastic, brilliant work.
Como es posible que recién me entero de esta hermosura? Esto describe exactamente como estamos....Gracias Matt❤🌟🌟🌟🌟
This looks VERRY eerie
I need more of Mattt & 80´s....
Unfortunately this is a fairly definitive end of the Simulation Theory era.
Tre minuti di tempo in uno spazio enorme molto intenso😍🔥♥️
Is he the coolest human being that has ever lived? Possibly.
Nice matt 👍
Such a masterpiece!
Amazing!
Well, he actually got a point ^^, .. Nice Matt! Keep em coming!
WOW!!! Now that's impact!! #awesome
Love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Watch the Vid several times and understand the real impact of it. It`s not just Matt, walking in the desert with a keytar.! Mind your surroundings. Look at his LED suite and all the other small hints. Love this subtile Muse work. Not expected anything less.! Love it. Great work.! Love you peeps.!
The journalist reminds me to "Sugar" of System of a Down.
This is another antysystem masterpiece from Muse.
Well done Matt
This seems to be a direct homage to Sydney Lumet's Network (1976). Masterpiece.
I love your songs Matt!
It's like Tom Waits with the futuristic keytar and synths. I just love it!
I loved this film! Muse are on a whole other dimension
Awesome video
Beautiful! Very Jean Michael Jarre inspired. I hope Matt makes more like this!
This is so awesome
I love it!!!! ♥️
this remittance/message impresses me
Omg i love a wonderful material it is
😍❤
I'm definitely grocery shopping to this today
That would effectively break me xD
Damn it! Love your work and brain
This is brilliant
WHY JUST ONLY MATT BELLAMY, WHERE IS MUSE 😭😭😭
Buy the film movie. U'll see the answer
They are still isolated and in quarrentine like the rest of us?
ALL THIS WE'RE GOING THROUGH
muse was the big impact for rock n roll music...they changed the metal sound into electrical sound....what a class
I have a theory. Since Matt defeated M.U.R.F. and got sent to this reality, he is trying to find a way out to the next reality to perhaps end the mainframe. Idk it's just a theory.
A Simulation Theory

Sounds like Daft Punk’s OST from Tron : Legacy
Was looking for this comment... direct theme quote @ 2:30
@@ronaldmcdonaldthomas totally! It's basically the same song without some key notes. Nice catch!
A Muse and DP featuring? YES??? PLEASE???
Was waiting for " i fight for the users" at the end
Fully expected to hear Jeff Bridges say "the grid..."
I love being in this simulation 💜
I love it!
My idol ever matt bellamy
You're crazy and I LOVE IT! I love this and you, deeply. ♥
Yeah this is soo sick it's on another level, love that you ventured outside your backyard for this one as well, impressive. Mainly I love that this is your art taken to the max rather than playing what's composed by the sound team or acting exactly what's given by the director, or wearing store bought expensive glasses. And that is theme isn't it, it's not the consumerist made to sell package. This is all you. It's sick. Insanely inspiring.
